Chapter 62: Food Wars --The Ice Queen and The Spring Storm--

          "Alright we are onto the second to last viewing for the day so, everyone let's take your seats," said Mira to everyone in the theater.

        "We're on Food Wars right," asked Izuku to Mira.

         "Yes, that's right," said Mira to Izuku.

         "I wonder what kind of food we will see this time around," said Mikey to his friends.

        "We'll have to wait and see Mikey-kun," said Takemichi to Mikey.

        "Let's get started everyone," said Mira to everyone.

         [--The Ice Queen and The String Storm--
         "Mornin'...," said Yuki.
         "You passed on it yesterday, Isshiki sempai...but I'm calling you on it now. I challenge you for the seventh seat!" said Soma.
         "I'm sorry, Soma. It looks like I didn't explain thoroughly enough. At the Totsuki Institute, "challenges" are special...," said Isshiki.

         "The Chanko society is a venerable clubhouse as old as the institute itself. If you insist on tearing it down, what do you propose to build in its stead...Miss Nakiri?" asked Kiyoshi.
        "My sixth personal cooking wing. I'm running short on space with only five," said Erina.
        "You're kidding me! That building is filled with decades of tradition and hundreds of student's passion for cooking! You promote to destroy all that for mere personal gain?! And you call yourself a chef?!" said Kiyoshi. 
          "You tell 'er,"
        "Stop her tyranny!"]

       "Aren't six kitchens a bit much," asked Uraraka to Erina.

       "Maybe a bit but I also let others use my kitchens as well," said Erina to Uraraka.

        ["You have accomplished nothing of note for years. Your time is spent doing little but praising past glories. Totsuki has no need of worthless clubs like yours," said Erina.
        "You abuse your authority to do whatever you please. We will not let you throw your weight around anymore! If I win, you will give up the tenth seat! I challenge you, Erina Nakiri!" said Godaboyashi.
        "Well then, if I win...construction of my new wing will continue as planned. I accept you challenge...Godaboyashi-sempei," said Erina.
        "To start with, the whole idea of the "challenge" was created as a means for Totsuki students to resolve their conflicts. These challenges come with a set of certain requirements. Soma, if you were to challenge me to acquire my seat on the council of ten...you would have to offer up something of equal value in exchange. Something that would be worth the seventh seat in the council of ten...hmm...not even your expulsion would be enough," said Isshiki.
         "What? Seriously?!" said Soma.
         "Not even close! Seats on the council are much more valuable than that," said Fumio.]

       "So, while Soma was getting an explanation of what he would need to challenge someone from the school. Erina was starting a challenge," said Nagisa while writing down the information.

        "It would seem so," said Mitsuya as he also gathered the information too.

        ["Once, this dorm was home to multiple members of the council of ten...every year, someone new would come! Aah! Those were Polaris's golden days! Compared to them, you lot are pathetic!" said Fumio.
       "Gah! I'm so sick of hearing that!"
        "At least you've got one now, Miss Fumio. Be happy with that."
       "If I accepted, then it would be possible for the challenge to go through...but I wouldn't want to see you run out of the institute. So in the end, the challenge won't come together," said Isshiki.
        "What, really? Man, and I was so stoked that I even got up at 5 am!" said Soma.
        "Trying for the seventh seat is crazy in the first place, I'd think," said Megumi.
         "Well, I think he's just plain stupid," said Yuki.
        "And it isn't like people can go around challenging anybody they want any time they want to. In order for the challenge to be approved...there are three thing you must have. First, an official to authorize the challenge as legitimate. Second, an odd number of judges. And third, agreement by both parties involved. With those three things, the challenge finally becomes legitimate. Ah, who would oppose you...must be crushed by superior cooking. The Totsuki Institute's legendary one-on-one cooking duel! It's called...Shokugeki," said Isshiki.
       "Shokugeki...," said Soma.
       "The judges have decided! The winner...is Erina Nakiri!"
        "No! Our society!" said Godaboyashi.]

        "Well, that's good information to have," said Izuku to the others.

       "Now we know what Soma and his father do sometimes in the kitchen late at night or during they are cooking dinner," said Karma while he was sitting down next to Nagisa.

       ["I taste twenty-seven separate imperfections in your dish, Godaboyashi-sempei. First, you blanched the spiny lobster for two seconds too long. Second, a small amount of bitterness from the oysters has contaminated the entire dish. Third, your handling of the vegetables was...," said Erina.
         "Enough! Shut up! If my dish is so terrible, what makes yours so special?! I practiced for days upon days for this! Your dish can't be better than mine!" said Godaboyashi.
         'Ravioli Langoustine. The ravioli noodles, steamed to fluffy perfection...are filled to bursting with the savory goodness of tender prawns. Their springy, chewy texture is so amazing, so incredible...it's as if I'm being overwhelmed by a Yokozuna Sumo wrestler's perfect techniques! The flavors of her dish...are on another level entirely! It's...heavenly!' thought Godaboyashi.
        "Aah...," said Godaboyashi.]

        "That looks so good. Can we have that for dinner tonight," asked Toru to the other cooks.

        "Sure, we can do that no problem," said Joichiro to the other students.

        ['What is she...?' thought Godaboyashi.
        "Yes. It's me. You may begin," said Erina.
       "N-no... don't! Stooop!" said Godaboyashi.
        'Cold. Cruel. Is this...what the family of the gastric godfather is like?' thought Godaboyashi.
        "Have a nice day," said Erina.
        "Miss Erina, an excellent Shokugeki! Your skills are as impressive as always. A masterful performance, miss!"
        "Miss Erina! Miss Erina! It's him!" said Hisoka.
        "What's all this fuss about?" asked Erina.
       "I just heard he passed instructor Chapelle's class with the highest marks possible! That guy...Soma Yukihira! Yeep!" said Hisoka.
        "I would appreciate it...if you would never again speak that name in my presence," said Erina.
         "I-I beg your pardon, miss!" said Hisoka.
         'He is the one blight...that has seeped its way into my sacred garden. I cannot ignore him. I will see him removed. I swear it!' thought Erina.]

         "I doubt that will work but good luck with that," said Koro-sensei to Erina and the others.

        "Well, we will just have to see about all of this," said Joichiro to the others.

         ["Man, I was hoping I could use those challenge things to go after Nakiri too," said Soma.
        "Wh-what?! You'd never win!" said Megumi.
        "Heh-heh. I can hardly wait. After all, Soma managed to tie me. Me, the seventh seat! I'm sure he'll post a good record," said Isshiki.
         "I'm surprised you'd call that a match. Especially since you didn't take it all that seriously. You didn't even use your "specialty"! That dish you made...is something you could cook in your sleep," said Shun.
        "What are you talking about? I tackled that dish with everything I had," said Isshiki.
        "Hmph. Like I buy that," said Shun.
        'Soma. When I tasted your dish...I had a premonition. I got the feeling that this rookie will be the trigger...that causes a profusion of Shokugeki blossoms...to bloom throughout the institute!' thought Isshiki.]

        "That was the end of this viewing. We will take a ten-minute break and then will be watching the last viewing for the day," said Mira as she got up along with some others as well.
