"Okay everyone. We are starting our second viewing for the day," said Mira.

"Oh, that's the Food Wars viewing," said Izana.

"That's correct. Is everyone ready to get started," said Mira.

"Yes I do believe we are ready," said Koro-sensei.

"Then let's begin," said Mira.

[--Maria Of Polaris--
"Student dormitory? Not that I've heard, no."
"Wha...?! Hold on, that can't be right! The acceptance letter I got came with a guide sheet. See?" said Soma.
"Huh, so it did. Let me see...the Polaris dormitory? Hm...still. Nowadays, most students just rent an apartment near campus. Wealthier ones are chauffeured in from home."
"It's possible there was once a dorm on campus. Sorry. I'm afraid we don't know."
"Uh, okay. Well....I guess I'll head to campus and ask around then," said Soma.
'At the time it slipped my mind. But I was quickly reminded how stupidly huge the dumb campus was! God, I'm so hungry! Cuttlefish jerky isn't cutting it anymore. I'm hungry and tired and really freaking cold! Aaaagh! Hungry! Sooo hungry! I've gotta buy a bike and soon. Still...for a school campus...there sure are a whole lotta big, showy buildings around. Heck, I'm not even sure what they all are! This place is supposed to be a school for the rich, so I guess it's meant to be impressive in every way. A dome? Do they have a baseball field? Ah! If that's the dome...then the dorm should be near by. I think. At least, it looks that way from the map,' thought Soma.]

"Are those dorms or something else," asked Emma.

"It's a little bit of both," said Erina.

['You gotta be kidding,' thought Soma.
"Is something the matter?" asked Mr. Hasegawa.
"Mr. Hasegawa!"
"Have you ever heard of a "Polaris dorm" on campus, sir?
<Office staff "Elder" Isohachi Hasegawa (58)>
"Aah...once it was an elegant, stately western manor now...," said Hasegawa.
'What the...?! Smoke?! Crap, is this place on fire?!' thought Soma.
"Room 208! You turned one the empty rooms into a smokehouse again, didn't you?! How about I string you up and smoke you with your own woodchips this time?!" said Fumio.
"Right, right...sorry," said Shun.
"Once it was renovated as a dormitory, it was filled with happy, bustling students for many years. But as time passed, the number of residents dwindled," said Hasegawa.
"Usako! Kamosuke! Shiknoshin! You have to stop getting out of your cages!"
"Room 118! Stop raising wild game in your room! Do it again and you'll be getting skinned and hung up to dry!" said Fumio.
"These days, it's been reduced to the den of a few strange and eccentric children...watched over by the old woman known as the "Polaris crone"," said Hasegawa.
"You're Soma Yukihira...the transfer student looking for a room, right? I'm the dorm matron for this here Polaris Dormitory. You'll call me Miss Fumio...the "Maria of Polaris." Got it?" said Fumio.
<Polaris Dormitory caretaker: Fumio Daimido>
'Augh! Again I'm dumped in weirdo-land!' thought Soma.
"You brought ingredients, right?" asked Fumio.
"Huh? Ingredients for what?" asked Soma.
"Isn't obvious?! For Polaris's revered tradition...the acceptance challenge!" said Fumio.]

"Is it always like that there," asked Erina.

"Pretty much. But there are days where everyone is pretty calm too," said Megumi.

"It looks like fun. But also that paper you lost early. I think was suppose to explain the challenge," said Izuku.

"It probably was," said Soma.

['The acceptance challenge
-Anyone wishing to lodge in Polaris Dormitory will cook a single-portion meal. Only those who make an acceptable meal are allowed entrance.
-Judging is conducted by the dorm matron.
-The entrant is allowed to bring any ingredients he or she wishes.'
"Nobody told me anything about that!" said Soma.
"Then you fail by default. I won't let anyone of unknown talent cross the threshold here," said Fumio.
"Wait, then what do I do tonight?" asked Soma.
"Sleep outside, I guess," said Fumio.
"You've gotta be kidding! Do you have any idea how cold April nights are?!" said Soma.
'Ugh, what a hag! I'm already so hungry and tired. I would keel over on the spot. She expects me to sleep outside?! Not a chance!' thought Soma.
"Give it up for today, kid. There are only a handful of leftovers and mostly-used ingredients left rattling around the kitchen. You just picked the wrong day to try and...," said Fumio.
"Do you mind if I use those leftovers? I'll accept your challenge! Where's the kitchen? Whoa! This is actually a pretty nice kitchen. Not something you'd expect to find here, given the looks of the place," said Soma.
"Listen, kid. There's nothing I hate more than a brat who's all bluff and bluster. Do you have any idea how many dishes I've tasted? How many students cooking I've seen? Don't think a slap-dash recipe made from scrapes is going to get a passing grade from me!" said Fumio.
'A hand full of veggies like onions and stuff. Some eggs. A good selection of spice and seasonings. And...,' thought Soma.]
