JOSIE

"Is it me or did that guy look like the guy from the picture?" I asked looking at Hope and Landon. "Spot on." Hope added. The three of us got up from our seats and left the room much to the dismay of Professor Vardemus. We looked around but could not find them.

"Stop looking for me." A voice whispered from behind me. I turned around and came face-to-face with the boy.

He was gorgeous like no one I have very seen. I'd be lying if I said he wasn't more attractive than Chad. No offense to Chadwick but this guy was...just something else. He stared intently into my eyes before he spoke.

"You never saw me here today or at all." He whispered. His velvety hushed voice was like music to my ears. I blinked my eyes and looked around confused when I found myself in the middle of the hall. I looked around and a couple of seconds later, Hope and Landon came over to me also confused. "Anyone else really confused?" Landon asked. "Me." Hope and I said in unison.

STILES

I opened my eyes and leaned my head back as tears filled my eyes. I didn't want to...but I had to. Her life was better without me in it. I couldn't ruin that. I made sure to compel Hope and Landon also. I found a way to break through Landon's mind and compel him to forget he saw me. But compelling Josie...felt like losing a part of myself.

My breathing was shaky before looked down in my hands at the book. To be honest, I didn't go to the school for a stupid book. I wanted to see Josie. I sighed as the book disappeared from hands before I left the closet and wiped my eyes. I also made sure to erase my presence from the class and the professor.

Thanks to the power of the Nogitsune which had powers I didn't even know. Surprised that even let me use any of its power.

JOSIE

The three of us returned to the class before a loud snap broke the silence making the students jump. Our attention was pulled to a book that was on the floor. Landon picked it up, furrowed his brows. "It's a book about trolls." He said.

"Trolls?" Headmaster Vardemus asked. "Now, that's peculiar. Why would there be a book about trolls on the floor?" Vardemus questioned as Landon handed him the book as he shrugged. "No idea." He told him before taking a seat next to Hope.

There was a lingering presence in my mind that I couldn't reach. All I could picture was a pair of beautiful dark chocolate brown eyes and a perfect complexion. Nothing else.

"Josie?" Hope whispered. I blinked my eyes before looking over at her. "Yeah?" I asked. She pointed at Vardemus. "Something on your mind, Ms. Saltzman?" Vardemus inquired. "Uh...no. Sorry." I said shaking my head. "Alright. Well, Magical Biology? What do we know about it?" Vardemus asked the class.

STILES

I walked downstairs into the basement searching for the troll before hearing a roar. I reached the ground level of the basement and found Alaric on the floor. I threw a makeshift light grenade and ducked as it exploded blinding the monster. "Niklaus!" He shouted throwing me an arrow. The arrow stopped midair in my face before I flung it at the troll with a flick of my wrist.

The arrow stuck into the troll's chest as it fell backward. "Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and agree with your troll theory." Alaric told me. "Yeah, well, it's nocturnal, so I figure I'd just make some artificial sunlight." I explained. "You didn't--you didn't say you were also a witch." Alaric stated.

"Look, I'm just here to kill this monster. Okay? Then I'll be on my way before this gets any more complicated." I told him. "Um...What is that?" Maya voiced. I looked over at her before looking back at the troll.

I sat in a chair at Alaric's office desk while I watched MG compel Maya. "The sound was just a busted water pipe. And then Dr. Saltzman..." MG told her. "Principal Saltzman." Alaric interjected. "My bad. Principal Saltzman turned the water off and took care of everything." MG finished.

"Wow. Crazy first day, huh?" Maya stated. "Great. You can head back to class now." Alaric told her as MG turned around looked at me. "Ah. Don't even think about it, Afro." I told him raising a finger into the air. MG looked back at Alaric before Alaric shook his head.

"Uh...Uh, hey, if he trusts you, so do I. Uh, by the way, I don't usually do this. I'm not trying take anyone's agency or anything, you know? So, I got to jet. I got a study date with some--uh...Uh, someone. It could-it could be anybody, really." MG said to Alaric. "Well, thanks for getting here so quickly. I appreciate it." Ric told him.

"Anytime. You're-- you'll always be my headmaster." MG said before leaving. "So, uh, why aren't you headmaster of that other school anymore?" I asked him. "It's a long story." Alaric answered with a chuckle. "Oh. Okay. Uh...I'll be back once school lets out so we can clean up what's probably a dead troll." I told him crossing my arms.

"You're really not fazed by any of this, are you?" He asked me. "I-I mean, I-I just think that the story that you told me, about the monsters and the scary black pit, just...makes a lot of sense, I guess." I answered.

"Um, look. I'm really glad to hear that it stopped. I'm sorry that it's happening again." I added. "It's not your fault." He pointed out. I gave him a smile before looking down. "Now that I know your cover story is a lie, I-I'm assuming Tom and Kathleen aren't real. Okay. The school I used to work at, you'd be welcome there." He told me.

"Oh, um...Yeah, that sounds amazing. But I'm just passing through." I voiced. "Hey, look, I, uh...I don't really have access to that school's resources anymore, and I'm trying to give my daughters some space. But if these monster attacks are starting up again, I could use the backup. You know, I don't really have anyone else." He suggested. "I work better alone." I stated before leaving the room.
