Absent Anniversary

It was the day of  Link and Mipha's anniversary, and Link was no where to be found.

"Uggh," Mipha groaned, "Why isn't he home yet?"

"I don't know, what was he wearing, maybe it was something for Zelda?" Wave said, "Like knights armor for killing bokoblins."

"The Royal Guard armor is missing form the closet," Mipha said. "It was most likely a Hyrule meeting."

A hour later, Link showed back up.

"Where have you been?" Mipha yelled, "I've been waiting all day for you! Me and the kids already had dinner, without you. Do you remember what day it is?"

Link teared up.

"Yes," he wimpered.

"So now you're sorry for leaving, without warning? Great Hyrule Link! It's our anniversary!" Mipha said.

Link pulled off the royal guard hat and pressed it to his chest.

"That's not all. You forgot a day that was even more heart breaking than missing spending time with you," Link cried.

"Oh, what has it?" Mipha asked, dripping with sarcasm.

"Today, is the day, I lost my parents, my uncle, and everything I used to care for."

"Oh, Link I'm so sorry, if I had known, or remembered then-"

"It's fine," Link said turning away to the kitchen. "I killed a moose, I have some meat to eat."

He began to roast the steak, and ate it as soon as it was done. He walked to his room and saw Trident looking at him.

"Oh, you missed me aye? Well sorry bout that buddy," he said plopping down of the mat next to the water pool. "Been a rough day."

Coral opened the door slightly.

"Dad, I helped mom make something for you," she said pulling out a potion. "She said she found the reptiles outside, and I had some left over Lynel guts. Not sure what it does, she said to drink when she comes in."

"Okay?" Link said. Mipha walked in and Coral walked out, and Linked uncapped the bottle, "Cheers Mipha."

"Link no!" she shouted, but it was to late, he had already drank it all. "Oh no oh no oh no!"

"What?" Link stuttered. "What does it do?"

"It um, it strengthens the bond between two people," Mipha said. "To put it in other words, you just drank something that makes you love me more."

"But I love you to the max! I can't go higher!" Link said, closing his eyes.

"And um, it has some fairies in it," Mipha said, rubbing her shoulder.

"Welp, I need a hug," Link sighed, pulling the blanket over him. "Do you want to sleep on land?"

"Oh great, you never ask me to sleep on land, now I know the potion kicked in," Mipha sighed, "But sure, I would love to."

"Huh? Oh, I canceled the potions effect when you said the word 'strengthens', now I have greater strength, for best hug ever," Link said, pulling the blanket over Mipha. "Well, goodnight."

He hugged her all night long.
