Link was training as a night. He had completed three tasks in the other regions of Hyrule. He had defeated a Goron in combat, bested a Rito in archery, managed to look better than all the Gerudos, now he had to steal the a Zora trident. Tridents were rarely made, mostly for festivals or a high guard.

He stepped into the domain, wearing the sheika armor for stealth. He snuck up the stairs and saw the king sleeping in his throne. He saw two children, cuddling with him asleep. He saw a guard, not noticing him. Link crept up behind the guard and with a swift whack, nocked him out with a stick. He grabbed the guards trident and made to leave, but clammy hands grabbed his and tied them in rope.

"Goddess da** it!" Link shouted as the Zora put a gag over his mouth. He felt the tips of a trident touch his neck.

"Well, well, well. A little Hylian coming to visit," the said. "I haven't seen your face yet. Maybe, if your cute, I'll let you go."

They walked around him. Link knew who she was now. Princess Mipha.

He had saved her life once, maybe she would repay him.

"Oh a man, how sad. I need somebody to talk to," she sighed. "I'll take you to father and tell him you tried to steal a valuable trident, only one is made a year."

She lead him to the king.

"Hey dad! Wake up!" she said, startling king Dorrephan awake.

"Yes Mipha?" he asked.

"This man tried to steal a trident," she said.

"Take his gag off and let him explain," Dorrephan bellowed. Mipha pulled it off, not gentle at all.

"Sir, you must have heard of, me from your daughter, I saved her once," Link said.

"Lies! I never met this bag skin ever in my life!" Mipha said.

"How sad, me, the little five year old grown men are scared of. I saved you from an arrow," Link said.

"So what? Just an arrow."

"The arrow of the Lynel on that hill. I pushed you out of the way."

"Oh yeah! That Link kid! Lets kill him!"

"What!" cried Link and Dorrephan.

"Let the boy live! King Roam told me he would try to steal one," Dorrephan said.

"Fine," Mipha said, untying the ropes. "But I still don't like you, elf boy."
