As Links grandchild was born, he pondered his life. Many mistakes, many deaths. He thought about his life span, and then he found himself thinking about death. He had felt it before yes, but if it was natural, no fairy could save him. He quickly shoved the thoughts aside and grabed the travelers sword. Rauru's arm had moved upward, and he felt that his ear had grown longer, and the arm started fluffing up once a month with fur.

As the fur drifted off in the wind, he stood at the edge of the lake.

"Link, would you like to meet him?" Mipha said. "Your grandchild I mean."

"Oh, yes," Link said. He went to wear the newborn resided. He crouched down, and looked at him. "Does he have a name?"

"Yes, Dorephan," Coral said, smiling.

"That's nice," Link said. "I guess your mother taught you about your grandfather when I was gone."

"I had a grandfather?" Wave asked, surprised.

"Yes you idiot," said Trident.

Link felt an odd tingling in his arm. He stared at it, and to his surprise, it glowed just as blue as the Master Sword in dangerous moments. His smile fell, and he looked at it again. Again, it pulsed blue.

He stood up and left. He sat down a far bit away, and soon he fainted.

"It glows," said a voice.

"Rauru?" Link said, standing up. Mipha looked at him funny.

"Only you can hear me," Rauru said, rolling his eyes, "And you can see me."

"Oh, because I have part of you attached to me," Link said, making Mipha stare at him in shock.

"Yeah," Rauru said.

"Why are you spreading?" Link asked.

"Because, if I could have lived for a long time, then you could, but the arm needed more space to expand your life," Rauru said.

"Oh, thanks for spreading," Link said. Mipha slapped him. "Rude."

"But now you have to hear me and see me, and I mean always," Rauru said, his face grinning.

"Oh Hylia no," Link said.

"Joking! But you still have to see me sometimes when I'm bored, and I'm bored a lot,"  Rauru said. "But I'll try not to be annoying. Bye."

"Mipha! Guess what!" Link said.

"You're cheating on me in your head?" Mipha said.

"No, that's me talking to Rauru," Link said.

"Who?" Mipha asked.

"Never mind, but I get to live longer," Link said, "Isn't that great?"

"You mean more time with you? YAY!"
