There was a knock on the door. Link got up and opened it, still holding the book he was reading. He saw Kodah beaming.
"Kayden, I'm going out, I'll be back in the morning," Link said walking out the door, sure of what they planned.
"Thanks," Kayden said, grinning at Kodah. Link pulled up the Sheika mask, having to sneak past the doors. They couldn't leave after dark, but Link was not staying around for couples wrestling.
He saw a window, and climbed out into the dark. He pulled down the mask, and started his stroll, whistling a familiar tune, though he did not know what it was called. He made his way down to the diner.
"Link!" Mipha called. "How do you do?"
Link turned around to spot Mipha alone, and at a table.
"Care to join me? I just ordered a drink, she'll be back soon," Mipha cheered. Link walked over. Mipha appeared to be wearing a scarf. "It's chilly isn't it?"
"Not really," Link shrugged, pulling up a chair.
"Ohhh, a new person!" the waiter said, putting down Mipha's Noble Pursuit. "What'lle you have?"
"Water," Link said. "Aren't you only allowed to have those when you turn twenty one?"
"No, this is substitutes the wine for fruit juice, it's good, want a sip?" Mipha asked. Link shook his head no, looking at the menu.
"Hylia this is expensive," Link muttered. "And to make it worse, it's only the cooked food with increased prices."
"Here's the water, you two darling lovebirds ready to order?" the waiter asked.
"We're no-" Link started.
"I am, he needs to look at it more. I'll have the Staminoka Bass," Mipha said.
"Scales, or no scales?" the waiter asked.
"Scales please," Mipha said.
"I'll take two orders of the Escargo from the appetizer menu," Link said.
"It'll be out in a jiffy," she said.
Mipha smiled at him.
"Can I ask you a personal question?" Link asked Mipha.
"Sure, fire away," Mipha chirped.
"Do you have any parents? You seem to be alone," Link said.
"Yes, I have my dad and my brother, my mom passed soon after Sidon was born. It's been horrible with out her. I'll guess your parents love you?" Mipha sighed.
"I-I don't have parents," Link whispered.
"But you're so care free, and you seem happy," Mipha replied in shock.
"Yeah, it's kinda easy if you never met them. Follow up question, what's it like to stay at one place?" Link said, staring at his feet.
"Boring I guess, you must have fun," Mipha said, trying to change to mood.
"It's boring. Final question, what's it like being loved?" Link said, smiling weakly.
"You poor child," said and old Zora behind them. "I hope you find love sooner or later."
They smiled at Mipha. Link put a hand on his head and groaned.
"Hey Link?" Mipha said. "Mind if I ask a question?"
"Okay," Link shrugged. "Go ahead."
"Do you want to go to the dance with me?" she blurted. The waiter almost dropped the food in happieness.
"Okay, I'd love to," Link smiled.
