'She looks like a winter bear...." he hummed slowly, as he stared out of the window, occasionally glancing at Jungkook, who sat beside him with a furrowed brow, eyes fixed on the road.

How did they end up here?

The tension in the air lingered after a short visit from their sweet uncle. Taehyung, already exhausted, proposed leaving early, and Jungkook readily agreed. After informing Yoongi and Jimin, they found themselves in the car, Jungkook's silence signalling that something was amiss.

Taehyung, curious and concerned, cleared his throat and asked, "Are you okay?"

Jungkook, pulled back from his thoughts, looked at Taehyung and mumbled, "I'm fine." Yet, the heavy silence returned, hanging between them.

As they reached the mansion, Jungkook turned to find Taehyung asleep. Regret washed over him as he realised he had been so preoccupied with thoughts of his uncle that he forgot about Taehyung.

"You're so stupid, Jungkook," he scolded himself mentally.

Gently lifting Taehyung into his arms, Jungkook felt Taehyung instinctively move closer, seeking warmth. Chuckling softly, he carried Taehyung towards his room.

Opening the bedroom door, Jungkook placed Taehyung on the bed and began to remove his shoes. Attempting to wake him, Jungkook lightly shook Taehyung, but all he got in response was a mumbled sentence before Taehyung fell back into a deep slumber.

Smiling at Taehyung's peaceful expression, Jungkook fetched a slightly wet cloth to wipe his face. As he carefully cleaned Taehyung's features, he couldn't help but marvel at the details—his eyes, his pouty lips, his cute little nose. It felt as if he was seeing Taehyung for the first time. First time, from so close, He always knew Taehyung was so pretty even from their first night.

That's why he never stopped thinking about the other.

The thought of Taehyung lingered in his mind constantly.

With the task complete, Jungkook pulled the blanket up, enveloping Taehyung. Pausing for a moment, he pressed a light peck on Taehyung's forehead before retreating.

As he moved away, he sensed movement and noticed Taehyung grabbing his hand, eyes fluttering open to gaze at Jungkook.

Perplexed by the sudden interaction, Jungkook was caught off guard.

"Where are you going?" Taehyung asked in a drowsy tone.

"Uhmmm," Jungkook stammered, momentarily at a loss for words.

"Come here, sleep with me, Kookie," Taehyung murmured, patting the space beside him.

Jungkook's eyes widened. Taehyung was inviting him to share the bed.

Should he? Thoughts raced through his mind, but before he could decide, Taehyung's sleepy voice brought him back.

"Kookie, I'm sleepy," Taehyung insisted.

This time, Jungkook nodded, moving to the other side of the bed. He didn't want to upset Taehyung, who had been unusually clingy throughout the evening. Perhaps, he considered, it was one of the quirks of pregnancy.

He planned to move to his own bedroom once Taehyung was asleep, not wanting to make him uncomfortable in the morning. Jungkook changed into comfortable clothes, opting to forego his usual shirtless sleep in consideration of Taehyung's condition.

Jungkook lay wide awake, unable to shake off the events of the day from his mind. His thoughts were interrupted when he felt Taehyung's hand encircling him, drawing him closer. Taehyung, in his sleep, nestled near Jungkook's neck, a familiar gesture indicating his need for something to hold onto during slumber. Jungkook couldn't help but admire the beauty of the man beside him.
