Some of these shows will contain jokes about gay shipping, and this indicates a pause for laughter, applause, or general dramatic effect: *
Hello Wattpaddians, great to see you all again! How have we been doing? Yeah! I'm going to be real with you folks, when I'm writing these, I always picture you all cheering at the start here the way people cheer when real comedians walk out onto the stage, but then I remember the time
I accidentally ended up at a real British comedian's show with my family, which is a true story for another day, and most of the audience was people around my age, and the guy was amazing but the cheering was minimal because we're all just so demotivated to do basic shit.

This helps me transition into the point of tonight's show, which is how many stressful and weird situations we get into trying to balance life between our community bonding versus our ''socially acceptable'' selves trying to interact with our families in real life.
*
It's like Bruce Wayne and Batman, we've got secret identities here. Although we're all so queer and damaged that we relate more to the Joker, and I promise I mean that in a positive way, you're listening to someone who grew up on the Lego Batman movie.

Trying to slip little MCYT tidbits into conversations discreetly is our equivalent of Bruce Wayne trying to slip pro-Batman propaganda into the news without giving away that he's Batman. I was telling my mom about the Great Potato War but without using the names of either Techno or Squidkid and I had very mixed emotions about saying ''these Minecraft players'' over and over again.
*
I felt like I wasn't doing the Blade justice, but also it made things even funnier because I bet she was thinking of him as some random small channel who just did this one iconic thing, rather than a Minecraft legend. She does understand that he meant a lot to me and that he's passed on now, though.
Sorry for the sudden feels, I know this is a comedy show, but I want to make it clear that even in the real world with my imperfect family, I wouldn't try to hide how important Technoblade was and still is.

Anyways, how my mom thinks of MCYTs based on what I've told her and what she thinks of social media in general since she mostly scrolls through small accounts on Instagram and stuff is pretty funny to think about, like that time years ago when I was complaining to a close friend over Facetime about how I had to mention Skeppy as Badboyhalo's 'best friend' rather than boyfriend on a project I was making, because I was afraid my intolerant father would look at it without my consent (thankfully he did not).
My mom apparently overheard, and I was joking, but if she remembers this at all, she probably thinks Bad and Skeppy are a confirmed thing, which is something I'm not gonna correct her on for several reasons.

Speaking of dealing with parents vs taking in MCYT content, do any of you get that ''Dad's home!'' feeling when you get a Philza notification? I know I do, I almost want to run to my front door and open it, that's from my last crumb of childhood innocence I have left.
*
I've started watching South Park recently, which is yet another secret to keep from my parents because they don't realize that I'm a MCYT fan and there's really nothing new out there for me to be ''exposed to'' anymore. Sometimes I kind of wish these streamers would settle down, but then I remember that I wouldn't have this career if I did, so, you know, it's whatever.
Goodnight Wattpad, you've all been a poggers crowd! See you next Friday night!
