Chapter 9

Still Accalia's POV (Lia)
I don't fully remember how I got to my room. I was slowly gaining my strength to open my eyes.
I groaned. My head was hurting.
Wake up sleepy head ... a small voice said in my head..
wait was that ?
Is that you ? Is it really you?
Small tears started to leave my eyes and making their way down my cheeks... I cannot believe it...
Suddenly I felt someone's wiping my tears. My eyes flaw open !
Like a mad man I quickly search the room for sign of any danger. I was in my room. Laying on my bed. Jackson next to me on one side and alpha Griffin on the other with his hand on my cheek. Brian and Hunter at the bottom of my bed.
I let out a long breath that I didn't realised I was holding.
Prince took his hand back and placed it next to mine on the bed.
"How are you feeling " - such a simple question but I didn't know the answer. Something has happened, something's changed over night.

Just answer them - my wolf said to me .
I can't believe that. I can hear her. My eyes filled with tears again.

I wiped it with a back of my hand

"I can hear her" I barely whispered.
They looked very surprised. Not fully understanding what I meant.
"My wolf... she's awake.. I can't believe it worked"
At this point I was sobbing.
Jackson hugged me tight. Alpha Griffin was holding my hand making a small circles on the back of it. His eyes with golden rings. Royal wolf coming forward.
He suddenly got up, looked at me and blinked, all gold gone.
"I'm so sorry- I don't... I have to go..." he said and rushed out of my room. Hunter gave me a quizzical look. Brian was still looking at the door that just shut closed behind his royal highness.
Hunters eyes glazed over for a second and he also got up, Giving me weak smile and leaving my room.

"What was that about?" asked very confused Brian...
"I'm not sure ..." Jackson looked even more confused

He smelled so good - my wolf said suddenly making me blush.
I'm sorry I was gone. I will never accept gamma Ethan as my mate. He hurt me. Our mate could feel when we got marked- we hurt our mate. I hate Ethan for that. She said.
I know. I am so happy you are back! I was scared that I will never hear your voice again. That I will die alone. Thank you for coming back to me. I said to her tearing up again.

Jackson stayed with me a bit longer but then he needed to go back to his duties. Brian on the other hand stayed and told me what actually happened filling some blank spaces in my head.

Brian's POV
I sat on the bed. I took Lia's hand in mine. She was tiny. So freaking fragile. I took a deep breath.

" let me guess, you don't really remember what happened right? "I asked her

Lia's bright blue eyes looked and me and her head nodded.

"Right. We were sitting outside next to the fire. You were talking to Prince and you fainted. Just like that. Prince and Hunter took you up and brought you here . That was about day ago now- they never left your side.

Lia's breath hitched.
Is it possible they were worried? No. I won't believe that. - she thought

I'm not sure what happened to Prince to leave like that. Or to Hunter to follow. My bear is not very happy with them. - Brian continued

Lia dropped her eyes to look at the blanket.

Brian pov

I was looking at her. Confusion painted on her face. I can't blame her. I was confused about prince Griffin. Why he wanted to stay and then suddenly left. It just didn't make sense.

Lia looked tired. I offered her a quick hug and waited till she fallen asleep. Then I left her room.

I went back to my room. My mate waiting for me on the bed.
As he saw me coming in, he pulled himself up to feet and jumped over the bed to embrace me.

"What do you think happened in Lia's room with Prince ?" I asked quietly.
Jackson smiled
"I think they will have to figure that out on their own. I called Victoria already - I cannot believe Lia got her wolf back! It's a miracle. Now she will be able to shift and be properly introduced to royal pack. " he smiled, his handsome face filled with true happiness. Gosh I love him so much. I kissed his cheek and then lips.
He moved up towards the bed and flipped us over. Now I was underneath him. He kissed me. He's tender lips catching mine. This was a sweet, but hungry kiss. We stopped to catch some breath. Panting.

"I love you so much " I said
Jackson caught my lips again and between kisses said
"I love you to mate"
...

Lia pov
I woken up to my head screaming at me in pain.
My wolf still there but now quiet.

I tried to make sense of out of everything that has happened.

A sudden knock on my door stopped my train of thoughts.
I've moved rather slowly to open the door.
Victoria looked at me deep into my soul.

"Hello little wolf" I heard her saying
"Thank you for helping me to come back " I could hear my voice saying .. I was in the back of my head - my wolf forwards.
"I'm sorry.. so sorry I couldn't stop that bastards before they have hurt Lia... I feel guilty for all the pain she had to experience " I said. At that point I knew it was my wolf talking.
"That's not your fault little wolf.. I came to see how you doing and ask if you told Lia already or not?" Victorias gentle voice engulfed my body like a warm blanket.
"No, not yet, she will find out soon. " I've answered

Find out about what?

"Give your human control back " said Victoria

I closed my eyes and opened them few seconds after. Victoria smiled.

"I'm sorry Lia - I had to talk to her " she explained
"That's ok, I'm so happy to have her back . I... "
My eyes filled up with tears - "I have never expected to hear her again. Thank you" I said, bringing my arms around in hug.

That evening I didn't see gamma Hunter, nor prince. They must have been preoccupied with something important. Jackson and Brian visited me with supper and quick daily catch up. I talked to my wolf a lot. Everything will be fine from now. I just know it...
