Chapter 6

Griffin's POV
It took us a month, to finally localise hyenas and their hideout. The biggest problem we had was that they were working with jackals. They were masking easily hyenas scent so that they could attack wolf packs. Even for my royal pack it wasn't easy to find out all information needed.
My engagement party was moved because of that. I had to finish this problem first. Claire was sad at first but then again she wants to be Luna so she understands. I traveled the last 2weeks.

Once We got the information that we needed, I decided to visit alpha female (hyenas boss).
I've heard stories about her but to see her and be able to talk to... let's just say I didn't have an opportunity.. just yet.
I took Hunter with me and few warriors. Even though we didn't want to fight I rather be safe then sorry. Their main hideout was next to Canadian border. I've send wolf to pas message to Chloe (hyenas alpha female). She agreed to meet with me.

"I hate travelling " Hunter said underneath his breath.
I gave him a side look. Ever since he found his mate I didn't get to spent as much of the time with him as before.
That's sounded selfish- my wolf was nagging me inside my head. He was right. I was selfish.

"Are you sure it's travelling? Not absence of your mate?" - I asked with sarcasm in my voice. Hunters eyes flashed gold for a second and his lips formed a thin line.

"You will know when you find her Griff. It's just hard to stay apart." Hunter said with small smirk on his face.
I sighed .
"Look there is something I didn't tell you " I started. Hunter looked at me with serious look and a surprised expression on his face.
I sighed again.
"I felt her .. " my voice cracking a bit " I felt when she was marked" I managed to say. " she chosen someone else.. that's why I will choose Clarissa as my Luna ". I said looking him in the eye.
"She will be a great Luna". I finished not fully believing my own words.

Hunter looked down. "I know that she will be, but I... I am sorry Griff. You deserve all the happiness in the world. I know how important that was for you. "
Our car come to the stop.
We were here. In the middle of nowhere. In front of a building that looked like a big warehouse.
My wolf stirred in my head.
Be careful. He said in my head.
I took a deep breath and walked out of the car.
Three young man welcomed us straight away.
"Welcome Prince Griffin, what a surprise " a female voice said.
I looked straight in her eyes.
She had a long red hair and pond green eyes. She was built strong for a woman. Wide shoulders and small waist.
"Chloe " I said and nodded my head. I was on her territory, prince or not.
Hunter did the same.
"Leave  your pups here alpha " she said slowly.
"And follow me".. "your gamma can come with you" - she said as she disappeared into the warehouse.
I looked at my warriors and gave them reassurance.
Hunter and I slowly walked passed Chloe's guards and into the building.

Hunter's POV
I side watched Griffin following the witch. In fact I can't say if he sensed that she was half a witch half hyena.
Are we really going to just walk into lions den? My wolf asked rather nervously.

Yep. And technically it's a hyenas den. We don't have a choice we need to find out why she keeps attacking wolves. I answered him. I felt that he knew this but I tried to convince myself that we are doing a right thing.

We got into a small room, that reminded an office.
An awefull hyenas scent was filling up my nostrils making me gag.
My eyes clouded for a second.

"Griff, you know that she's half witch? Right?"
I mindlinked him.

"Yes" he quickly answered "don't worry I'm prepared " he said in my mind.

But he was not prepared to meet the person who walked into this office right after us.

"Alec?" -Griffin asked, shock evident on his face.

Back in Bears den
Accalia's POV
I woken up in my room. I am still not used to being here. A loud knock on my door make me look up.
Jackson came in with Brian.

"Hello little one, How are you doing?" - he asked concern showing on his face. I know what he was thinking. I was considering leaving this house just before I stepped my foot in it. Bears den is lovely. It's a massive mansion in the middle of forest. Inside is made of wood and stone. My room is just... I've never till now had a proper room.
Room? I've never had a proper bed, warm water was in the shower was my dream. I didn't even owned a pillow. Bears gave me everything what I used to dream about to have. no questions asked. They don't want me to look down when they talk to me. Itan was very clear about that. Jackson even got me some clothes and shoes.
A wide smile appeared on my face, reminding myself how Brian cried as he didn't take him shopping that day.

I got up from bed and ran to a very surprised looking Jackson. My tiny hands wrapping around his large torso.

"Thank you" - I mumbled in his chest.
Brian joined us hugging.
I don't deserve any of their kindness. But I am grateful for everything they have ever done for me.

I stepped back after few seconds.
"Sorry" I said quietly, looking at Brian "for hugging your mate"
His eyes flashed golden rings, his bear was peeking. He smiled.

"Don't worry, my bear loves you. We would never hurt you." Brian said.

"We came to tell you that prince Griffin, soon will be arriving. He supposed to be here already but they took detour and he will join us tomorrow morning. In the meantime come with us, we will eat together with others and you can rest. We want you to meet with someone in the evening. It's a surprise so don't bother asking me who that will be. " Jackson said happily.
I nodded and followed them out of the room.

**Later, evening time at bears den**

Jackson's POV
I can't believe that my brother managed to convince Victoria to come tonight. As soon as I saw mating mark on Lia's neck I knew something was not right. Her mark was red and raised, and just didn't look normal. Bear mark is different to wolf but I've seen wolves mark, it looks more like tattoo. Lia's doesn't even come close to that. If anyone can help it's Victoria. She's one of our friends. A witch to be exact. Maybe she can remove that mark. Lia doesn't know that but when she was in hospital every night she would cry and talk in her sleep. I know what she came through. I've heard her pain in those memories. I want to help her.
As she was marked by other man and she didn't wanted it to happen, she is in lots of pain 24/7.
Forced marking is unforgivable thing you can do to someone, leaving that person in pain as long as they will mentally accept the mark.

The nock on main door pulled me out of my thoughts. I quickly ran to open the door.
"Hi! "- I said with big smile. It's been to long since we last saw each other.
