Chapter 24

Lia's POV

I don't remember when, or how. I felt my body change shape. Each bone breaking, forming new skeletal system. And before I even had a chance to realise what was happening I shifted.

My white wolf proudly stood on her legs, growling at the rouge that now was also in his wolf form.

My wolf took control. Completely. It was like watching movie. Like I was a passenger in the car . I haven't shifted for so long it felt almost foreign.

Rouge attacked jumping straight to my neck. I was faster. I jumped to the side and quickly managed to change his direction attacking his belly.

I bit so strong that I could feel his paws trying desperately to take me off of him. I bit harder piercing his skin deeper.

A whining sound escaped him.

At that moment Sandi yelled

"Luna watch out!" As other rouge half shifter with his claws and canine teeth attacked me from behind. He stabbed his clawed hand in my back. I yelped.
An excruciating pain ran through my whole body. At that I realised that I have to block mind link and push the bond to the back. I don't need Griffin to worry about me or feel anything.

I let go of rouge's stomach. His dirty blood soaking my white fur.

My wolf was angry. She wanted them dead.
She jumped on the rouge that harmed us and before he could react she was already holding his neck, ripping his head off.

The other rouge still in wolf form was barely moving. I watched as she came closer and ripped the hole in his stomach opening it even more. Taking out some vital organs.

That was awefull.
She looked at Sandiego and growled .

Sandi managed to kill last rouge and he was looking at his Luna with wide eyes.
I could feel fear rolling off of him in waves. He was scared of us.
He bow his head, eyes towards the ground.

"Luna" he said and dropped to his knees, baring his kneck in a submission.

I wolf sniffed him. He wasn't my mate. My wolf was even more angry. The animal side of me didn't understand what was happening. Not fully at least. I lift my muzzle up and sniffed the air catching a weak scent of my mate. I growled.

"I know who you looking for. I promised I will keep you safe I really cannot let you go out there" Sandi said.

A loud growl escaped us again. Sandi looked down.

"But you are my Luna and if you want to go then there is nothing I can do to stop you. " Sandi added.

Protect our pack Beta. I mind link him.
Well my wolf did.

And just like that she left the hide out. Running back to main house through narrow tunnel. Darkness was surrounding us but my eyes saw even the smallest movement. My wolf sped up, wanting to be with her mate.

Griffin's POV

I let them pull me out of the safety. Far away from the pack house, from pack members and hide out.
I knew what needed to be done . I have to protect my pack, my family and my mate.
Hyenas were surrounding me now . In the corner of my eye I saw some jackals and my wolf knew it won't be easy and fair fight but if we are going to die we will take with us as many as we can.
I attacked. No time to waste right?
I jumped the first few, killing them with cold blood. no problem really. I was Quickly taking them down but they seemed to never finish. I don't know even when but I felt it before I've heard it.
A gunshot, going straight through my side.
Damn it !
My wolf whined as he fell down to the ground - hard. I slightly lifted my head following the sound.
Chloe ....
No f*cking way!
"Well well well..
isn't it a great alpha king falling to the ground in front of me? " Chloe said with a sarcastic voice
" let me tell you a short story before you leave us" she added

"First of all I wouldn't move if I were you. You see this is a special bullet. Goes in and travels with movement. You won't be able to heal either so don't waist time for that.

Secondly let me tell you truth. You were never the one to be a king. When you were little I put a spell on your parents to help them decide that, you are better suited to be next king. Just so you can have a bit of fun arguing with your brother about this little detail.

Oh and third your mate may be already dead, if not yet, don't worry she will join you soon. Poor girl she will never know that she was stolen from her family pack.. she will never know she and Hunter are siblings.. she .."
She was so busy telling me all details of her plan that she lost focus on what was happening around her.

At this point a big brown wolf jumped straight at Chloe's stretched out arm that was pointing straight at Griffins body. Her arm was ripped out. Wolf growling with every step.

Hyenas queen grabbed her arm, well what was left of it and cried out in pain, squatting towards the ground quickly trying to gain distance between her and the wolf.

Wolf's eyes were glowing. Feral thoughts in his head. He was there to kill and kill only.

Chloe was backing up quickly and her back hit the tree trunk. She gasped.

In the corner of her eye she could see a big bear heading her way. She was against a wolf and a bear shiter with no arm. She knew it will not finish well.

Sudden movement to her left of some white fur distracted her thoughts . Both wolf and bear also were looking.

Out of the tree line a white wolf came out. Snow White fur covered with splattered blood. Radiating power.

Wolf and bear bowed, showing their neck and respect.
Chloe looked around everyone stopped fighting even jackals and hyenas where bering their necks for this wolf's dominance.

Chloe's swallowed.
White wolf jumped. Latching her teeth into witches neck.
