Chapter 2

My hands had been strapped to a pole above my head. Ethan kept my back to him as he removed all of my clothes with his claws.

-"what are you doing?" - I asked panicked.

-"someone decided to speak, big mistake." - he snarled at me, slapping my face with one hand.
A gasp escaped my lips.

-"music for my ears, fatty"- he said, making me feel self conscious. He grabbed a whip with silver ending. He hit me again.
I wasn't sure what is he planning on doing, but I knew it's nothing like he did before.

-"you're a stupid omega, I can do with you whatever I want. And guess what?, I want you, your body, soul, everything- you are mine now. Don't worry. A chance on finding your mate are tiny in this big world. And if you would find them- well I'm sure they would be disappointed enough to reject you. Or kill you. So I'm doing you a favour."- he spits in my face, his eyes black, full of lust, with his wolf surfacing. I gulped, holding back my tears that were ready to escape. I knew he was right. No one would want to even look at me that way. I was hideous.
He continued to abused my body, hitting me, his claws reaching my bare skin, for a longer time. His breathing speeding up.
Is he getting of on that? - I thought.

-"It's now my wh*re." -he said while roughly turning my body to face him and sinking his teeth in skin between my face and shoulder.
He marked me!
the excruciating pain shot through my body. I felt like I'm burning alive.

He's not our mate - my wolf voice boomed through my mind. I knew what that meant.

I will not find my mate now, he would feel I've been marked. And I will be in pain everyday for the rest of my life. It also meant he will have to renew this mark daily. I could feel his all emotions. He hated me, but wanted me at the same time.
Thousand thoughts was racing through my head.
How could he do this to me?
He withdraw his teeth and pulled back, admiring his work. Five minutes later he was ready to do it again.

He left my body in this room after having fun with it . The longest time in my life. Before he left, he whipped me additionally 20 lashes for talking back.
I can see and smell my blood all around me. I'm naked laying on the floor in a big red puddle.
I can hear steps but don't get to see who it is as blackness consumes me.

I woke up in a dark cell, on the cold floor. I could hear Mar's voice, talking to me.

-"Lia wake up!, please wake up sweetheart, it's going to be fine..."-she pleaded quietly.

I opened my eyes and touch my neck. The pain radiated to my core.

-"what's happened when I was out Mar?"- I whispered.

-"one of the enforcers brought you here, Alex, I think. He left some water for you to drink after you wake up. It's in the bowl in the corner "- she answered sadly.

-"you lost lots of blood, I'm happy you're awake, but... Lia your wolf side... I can't sense it."- she looked worryingly in my eyes.

My wolf disappeared. It was possible when not mate marked you, your wolf would withdraw. Hide in the back of your mind. So now I'm almost human. That means I don't have werewolf scent, and I can't shift.
I put my head in my hands. Blood still covered my body. I must stink.

-"How long was  I out?" - I asked quietly.

-"three days Lia" - Mar answered her eyes not reaching mine.

-"he... he came here Lia, Ethan. Everyday. He keeps marking you. I have to hear it and watch it and I couldn't do anything, I'm so sorry..." - she started to sob.

-"I know, it's ok Mar, it will be fine"- I tried to reassure her.

I looked around my cell. There was a bowl with water - i drank some of it. Cold liquid agonisingly ran through my throat.

Suddenly the door opened. Liam (beta) came in and opened our cells.

-" we will have company soon. As much as I want to keep you in here, we need a maid and a cook.
Royal gamma will arrive in 2 hours. You are to cook something nice Mar- do not screw it up, or I'll make sure you will stay in here forever. " he said looking at Mar's shaking features.

-"as for you..."- Liam's eyes quickly snapped at my face, my eyes darted down,-"you're mate can't wait to have you back by his side. You are instructed to go to gammas house right now, and when you finished having fun, I expect you to prepare alphas office and dinning room."- he then turned around and left.

We followed after.
That was my life.
Never look them in the eyes, don't talk back and do what you told.

Hunter's POV

I didn't want to be here. Griffin send me to invite all important wolves from this side of the nation to a royal ball, where he will announce his engagement to his mate.
I looked through the window.

Gosh, that's a bit dull area. Those houses looks rather old and somehow destroyed? - my wolf was wondering.

I can agree with him. It's ridiculous. I have not seen anyone yet, and we had been going through their territory for at least 15min now. Red moon pack had quite large area to live with nice forest stretching around borders.
We arrived at their pack house 10min later.
Alpha Ryan was waiting in front with his beta, I assume. Getting out of the car a gorgeous smell reached my nostrils. I knew straight away what that means. Now I have to find owner of the scent and confirm it.

Mate! My wolf howled in my head.

I know. I can sense them.
I shook hands with alpha and beta and followed them to dinning room. My wolf restless in my head.
Dinning room was filled with others, I guess important members of this pack. They all bowed to me. I wondered if they know I'm not Griffin.
My wolf rolled his eyes in my head.

Mate is here - he said. I can communicate with his wolf.

Wait, HIS wolf? My mate is a male? - I asked my wolf.

Yes, his name is Alex. He's a enforcer here. He's scared you will refuse him. I can't tell you more his wolf is very shy. - he gasped. A small whimper escaped my lips. Barely audible. Alpha turned around. I think he heard.

-"is everything ok?" - a smirk crossed his face.
I growled. Well my wolf did.

We proceeded with dinner. After that we had meeting in alphas office and that was my time to go back home. But I couldn't. Not without talking to him first.

-"is it ok if I stay one more day? I am really tired and your pack is last on my list." - I looked in alphas eyes. Something seemed off, but I couldn't put my finger to it.

-"well yes, of course! I will have one of the omegas to prepare your room" -he said in a weird tone.

15min later I was greeted by small framed girl. Her light blond wavy hair covering almost all of her face. Her eyes fixed on the floor. She did not say anything. Her scent filled my nostrils and I could tell something was wrong with her. I didn't sensed her wolf but she wasn't human either.
Curiosity took the best of me. With one quick move I touched her chin and lifted her face up, making her to look at me.
