Chapter 21

Griffin's POV

She is...
Scared? My wolf finished my thought.
Yeah. She didn't wanted me to leave her alone with Britt. Why?
I mean she even didn't mind me seeing her naked, for crying out loud.

I'm not complaining about this part. He said.

Really? That's what you are thinking about now ? I asked him, my thoughts travelling around her body, feeling my eyes turning black, the sign of lust.

My mind empty. This is my mate we are talking about. This is a girl we wanted.

Calm down Griff. My wolf said. Probably for the first time ever he had more control than me about this.

You're right. We don't want to shift.

I watched as Britt came closer to my mate.
I watched Lia's shirt going up. All her upper body exposed.
Call me perverted, but...
I didn't look away. I simply couldn't.
She was so f*cking beautiful.
She blushed crazy.
Goddess.
Every part of my soul and body wanted her. To touch her skin. To feel it under my fingers .

I swallowed.

A loud growl left my lips as she turned away. Her back with all scars on the view .

I will f*cking murder her ex alpha.

Every bit of her skin was filled with a scars . Some deeper than others .

For a split of a second my wolf was fully in front of my mind. Wanting blood. And I agreed with him.

I remembered that some of them are from me and my eyes colour quickly gone back to my natural one.
I swallowed.
Heavy feeling filling up my stomach.
I inflicted some of them. I'm no better than her alpha.. a guilt. Heavy guilt filled my heart.

She turned around, looking straight at me.
My eyes for a split of the second meeting hers.
My wolf whimpered.
I looked down.
I hurt my mate.
I wanted to run.
To get up and leave her room.
I don't deserve her pure heart.
I'm a monster.

A knock on the door finished my train of thoughts .
Nyko came in with smile on his face, Izzy followed with bears behind her.

Lia was already fully dressed and tucked in safely in bed.

They came closer each of them hugging her and smiling.
I felt like my spirit left my body and I watched them from far behind.

"Are you ok Griff?" Izzy's voice pulled me back down to earth.

I nodded quickly, getting up and heading to the door. My body working on own account.

"I'll come back later" I said to no one in particular and closed the door on the other side. Taking breath I ran into the forest and shifted into my wolf.

Lia's POV

I could feel his eyes on my back.
He must notice all scares
A small growl escaped his lips.
He was angry.

My body wasn't perfect. I was used for so long.
My pack took from me everything. I knew I don't have anything to offer. I wasn't pretty like other girls . My back was covered with scars, that never fully healed as they were infected with silver.
I looked down.

I could feel doctor touch all over.
Checking me over.

I don't trust her .
My wolf's voice boomed inside my head.
Why do you think she doesn't want to help? I asked
I'm not sure Lia just something seems off.
She said.

I turned around pulling my T-shirt down to cover my body.i
My eyes meeting angry and sad? Griffin's eyes for a second before he looked down.

He's disgusted with me. He doesn't even want to look at me anymore. My mind was travelling.

"That's all Alpha. She just needs to have some rest " doctor said and she left the room. Griffins mind was far away. He didn't even notice that we finished.

My wolf whimpered
Mate is sad. She said. And angry..
I didn't know what to say. I'm sorry that I'm not perfect ? That my skin looks this way ? I have already marked him. He will be my mate. I took away from him a choice. Even if he doesn't want me we will be connected. .
A quick knock on the door and a face appearing at the door, followed by whole bunch of people smiling at me and hugging me. They were now my family. Maybe I can leave with bears and give Griff space and maybe he could take someone as his Luna? He didn't mark me there is a chance his wolf will be ok with that. Mine on the other hand...

A sadness filled me up
My wolf would give her life for her mate's happiness
I knew it.

"You ok Griff?" Izzy asked concern filling her voice. Everyone looked at Griffin. He just nodded his head and got up quickly leaving the room.

They all were shocked. I wasn't .
I knew what he saw. A monster .

Izzy came closer.
"Well I don't know what bit him but he will be back. He probably just needed to ran. " she said.
I nodded.
"How you feeling? Lia ?" Jackson asked with worried look.
"Im ok I guess. A bit tired. But ok" I answered truthfully.
That all stayed longer. We talked for a while. They updated me on everything that happened while I was out. Chloe attacking and not giving up. They were preparing for a war that can happen anytime.
They were leaving my room when I asked Itan to stay with me for a few minutes. I had to ask.

"What do you want to ask Lia ?" Cecil said with serious look.

"I need to know if I can come back with you. I know you are like my family. My wolf feels safe around you."
I said

"Come back with us ? Why would you feel like you have to come with us when you have your alpha and mate here ?"
He asked with worry

"I'm not a person that alpha would see a mate or Luna. I'm broken beyond the repair and I don't want him to feel like I'm a burden to him because I didn't give him a choice. I forced a mate mark on him, I took a chance to find happiness from him. I don't deserve him. He will never want me. I'm asking you, Itan if I could came because I want to know that I have a place to stay once I will have to leave this pack"
I said looking at him.

"My pack is always open for you Lia,  but I know Griffin since he was a small pup. I think you have to
Talk to him first. Hear him out. Ok?"
Cecil answered.

"Is that what you think little one? This is How you feel?"
Griffins voice came from the door.

Both me and Cecil looked that way.

I didn't hear him opening it. How much he heard?

Everything.
My wolf said.
Why you didn't you tell me he's there?! You could sense him! I said angrily
I needed him to hear what you think.

"I will leave you two alone. " Cecil said and he left the room.
