- Becky's POV -
"Something important."
I uttered as we returned in to the cave finding our jet ski that is still hidden at the back of the tall rock formations with our stuffs, still intact from where we left them before.
Freen sped up driving the jet ski so we can reach our hotel fast. Being in the open gives her a little anxiety since I'm with her and she said that she wanted to make sure that my safety always comes first. We had a quick dinner and settled early in our room.
We are now in our bed and Freen with her head resting on one of her arm while her other arm is wrapped around me. I leaned my head on top of her left chest and comfortably listens to her heartbeats.
"So, what's that something important that you're going to tell me, Bec?" Freen asked softly as she gently pats my head.
"Those guys a while ago, Freen. They are wearing the same symbols hanging on their necks." I said to her while still leaning my head on her.
"What symbols? That's the same group of men I've fought in the laboratory." Freen confusedly replied to me.
I got curious, these group of men were the same group of people we fought back then. Before Freen got shot and got separated from me.
Does it mean the guys from the past are also the same group of men that attacked us?
That's impossible, its been years and no one has threatened my life on those years that I haven't been with Freen.
Why now? Why? We're happy and finally starting over with our life together.
"Bec?" Freen asked again and it got my attention as I got lost for a moment due to my thoughts.
"Freen, what if its all connected?" I replied to her not knowing if this is a question or statement.
"Connected? You mean the guy with red eyes that you bumped into who you're saying was the guy from our past and the group of men from the laboratory that chased us are all connected? It.. It doesn't make sense.." Freen said to me, she herself is getting confused with everything that is happening. She moved a bit to hug me and whispered something that made me feel like everything is not a problem at all.
"Bec, we have each other now. Whatever this is, we'll make it through together. I'm going to protect you, okay?" She whispered and left soft pecks on my temple.
"We will protect each other, Freenky." I replied and kissed the nook of her neck.
"When we get home tomorrow there's something that I wanna show you, its the thing that we're secretly doing before something happened to you." I said to Freen as I prompt my elbow on the bed and looked into her eyes. There are no lights opened, but the dim light coming from outside of our room is enough to tell me that she was also looking at me.
"Okay, show me everything. I need to know.. I love you, Bec." Freen replied as she leaned in for a kiss and I kissed her back. The kiss was gentle and full love.
"I love you." I said when we parted then Freen pulled me in for a hug and we both succumbed into deep sleep.
Despite the turmoil and confusion that has been happening to me and Freen. We are determined that we can overcome this together.
Plus the comfort of being in each other's arms makes things lighter..
