Sam's POV

I kept cursing myself about what happened earlier as I drove to the fire scene location.

You're so stupid, Sam. Why did you let that happened. Now you hurt Becky. You're an idiot.

But, I wanted to kiss her too. I wanted that kiss to go deeper.. I wanted to spend more time with her.. Because there's something, a familiar feeling again.. And I wanted to explore that..

I know I shouldn't be thinking about it right now and I must focus on how to rescue those people who needs help.. I can't just ignore them. Somehow, the urge to help others are screaming inside of me.

So I set this feeling aside for later..

Fuck..

I hit the gas and the car sped off..

There's no time to waste..

We're talking about lives here..

I knew I'm already near as soon as I saw the heavy smoke and fire nearby and the place is packed with fire trucks and a dozen of onlookers around the area. I hurriedly parked the car on the side of the street.

Fuck, I even forgot to bring a hoodie.

Luckily, I have this black cap in my car so I took it and wear it since I still need to protect my identity and quickly got out of the car.

I can't enter the main door since it is blocked by the police and fire department, I'm sure no one would let me in.

I sneaked out and ran at the back of the building to look for a possible access to get inside the building. After running at the back of the building I found a locked passage door that can lead me inside. I looked everywhere first before barging my way inside as I easily opened the locked door using my super strength and once I tore down the door, a fuming smoke came out and enveloped my whole body.

Jesus!

I got inside and started to look for survivors.

Its hard to see since the place is already occupied by smoke and fire, I need to get as much as many survivors that I can get before the whole place fall down.

"Is someone in here?!" I shouted.

I heard banging sounds in one of the closed rooms so I quickly run towards it.

"Move away from the door! I'm gonna kick it!" I shouted.

"O-okay!" I heard the person from the other side answered.

I kicked the door causing it to open up and immediately went inside. I saw three people inside, a mother and her two kids. They are already coughing heavily due to smoke suffocation.

Fuck.

I looked around trying to find something to drench with water.

I found two blankets inside their room and drenched it with the water that came out from me then I ran back to them.

"Here, put this around her. Can you carry her? I'll carry the other one." I said to the lady handling her the wet blanket, she took it and put around her and her daughter.

"Let's go. Hold on a bit and follow me." I wrapped her son with the other wet blanket and carried him.

I got them out of the building from where I came in a while ago and put the kids down.

"You're safe now, the ambulances are on the other side of the building." I said to the lady.

"Thank you so much!" Cried the lady as she dragged both of her kids to the other side.
