Chapter 44 - The Goddess and Her Muse

- Freen's POV -

The next morning, Becky and I dropped by uncle Tom's place to spend some time with him. We decided not to tell him anything about our plans especially the mission because we don't want him to worry about us. He's already old and we don't want him to think about anything else but to just enjoy his life here peacefully. Letting him know about the mission might endanger his life and that's one thing that I don't want to happen. He's been through a lot, just like all of us and his safety is important to me.

He don't have a single idea of what I can do and its better that way..

"So where are you guys heading for the rest of your vacation?" He asked looking to me and Becky.

Becky opened her phone and showed him a beautiful picture of a water fall while we are having lunch at his house.

"Khlong Lan.. I saw it in the internet while browsing last night." Becky replied to uncle Tom.

"Ohh.. Not so many people visit that place because its hard to go there, are you guys gonna be okay?" He asked, concerned.

"Ahhh.. wait why do I even bother. You guys are as strong as a horse." He added and continued eating and we just chuckled at him.

"Are you going today?" He asked again.

"No, we plan on going tomorrow. Its pretty late now to take a long hike. We're planning to stay there for 2 days." I replied to him then I took a large chunk of steak and chewed the heavenly meat.

"Oh wow! Enjoy the scenery and take a lot of good pictures." He said happily at us.

"We will." Becky and I both answered in unison and grinned at each other.

Becky and I went to the city center to buy some stuffs for our trip the Khlong Lan falls. While she was inside the grocery store I asked her if I can go to the nearby motor shop to buy some parts for my off-road bike that I found in the house garage. 

When I saw that bike yesterday, Becky just stared at me while smiling. Then I found out from her that we used to ride that bike to go to different places here in Chiang Mai. I got so thrilled and immediately checked the bike if we can use it for our trip to Khlong Lan instead of the Wrangler. 

But of course, I have to ask Becky if she wants to use it. I don't want her to feel tired or uncomfortable in our journey. 

"Yes, I would love to ride that bike with you, Freen." She said smiling at me and I jumped and punched the air due to excitement.

"Yes!!!! I'm gonna check this now! Let's buy some parts tomorrow." I happily replied to her.

As I entered the motor shop, I opened my phone to check the list of parts and tools that I need to fix my motorbike.

"Welcome, may I help you with anything?" I heard a female voice spoke to me which made me raised my head and look at the counter. 

I smiled at her and nodded my head then walked towards the counter.

"Umm. I need these parts and tools, miss.. Namtarn." I replied to her as I showed her the list of items on my phone.

"Wait you know me?" She surprisingly asked me.

"Ummm.. No?" I replied and gaze at her nametag on the left side of her uniform.

"Ohhh! Yeah. I totally forgot we have this. Sorry, I'm new here. Anyway, let me get the items." She chuckled as she tapped the nameplate on her chest and went to get the items from the shelves.
