Chapter 27 (Special Chapter) - Cali's Heart

- Cali's POV -

Flashback (2 years ago..)

I was taking my usual morning jog before my shift starts beside the river bank's pavement when I spotted a body a few feet away from me.

I was frightened at first, but being a doctor I immediately run towards the body and to check for any signs of life.

It is a girl.. She looks a bit younger than me and she is unconscious.. She has a pulse but not breathing.. I gave her mouth to mouth resuscitation and pumped her chest a couple of times..

After a few more tries, her breathing became normal but she remained unconscious..

She was probably washed away here by the river's current. I wonder where did she came from?

I decided to take her home to further monitor her condition so I called someone nearby who can help me take her home.

I have my own clinic at home so I didn't brought her to the hospital..

"Thank you for helping me out, sir." I said to the older guy who helped me bring the unconscious girl to my house.

"You're welcome, are you sure she will be okay?" He worriedly asked me.

"She will be. Don't worry I am a doctor." I replied smiling at him.

"Alright. I'm going then. Bye." He said.

Her clothes are all dirty, ripped and wet..

I removed her clothes one by one and the sight in front of me just made my heart beats faster than it normally does..

What the hell is happening to me?

I see different naked bodies all the time because of my profession as a doctor. But this one right here just made me gulp many times especially when the clothing that covers her upper body was already taken off.

Phew! I tried not to stare but her body is just so perfect.. Her abs are poking out like she was carved by Michaelangelo - a famous Italian sculptor. Is that too much? But it is..

Okay, Cal. Stop it.. Stop checking her out..

She seems fine and uninjured, because if she is not, there would be bruises and cuts on her body. But I found nothing.. So I took the biggest shirt that I have in my closet and put it on her.

I also put a dextrose IV in her to make sure that she will be properly hydrated while she's still unconscious.

I've never been with a girl before or even get attracted to them, but God! She is just so beautiful and looks so perfect. Never in my life that I would admire someone like this. I mean she looks helpless right now but I can't deny that she is like a goddess sent by the heavens to walk in the realms of Earth and beautify it..

Okay, I'm already being excessive here.. jeez!

I took my time looking at her from her head to toe and I found a ring on her left finger..

Oh..

What is she? Did she run away from her marriage?

3 weeks after, she woke up from her coma. I found her sitting on her room when I came in to check on her if she has enough IV fluids for the day.

I immediately took my stethoscope and introduced myself to her as I sat on the edge of her bed. And that was the first time that I got to look her in the eyes.. And those brown orbs are the most magnificent thing that I have ever seen in my entire life. I was in awe..
