Mila
The driver stops the car and what we're in front of is one of the biggest houses I have ever seen, not bigger than Gio's house, but huge.
The entrance was guarded with a whole bunch of guards and dogs it almost scared me to get out of the car, Gio held his hand out for me and I took it stepping out of the car and onto the concrete.
Gio takes my arm as the driver shuts the door behind me, Luca stands behind us as we walk the wall of the entrance and then up a tiny set of stairs.
Gio rings the bell which can be heard loudly throughout the house, who ever these people were, they were important.
"Luca, behave tonight," Gio says.
"Yes sir," Luca rolls his eyes. Before the giant doors open a man stands in front of it with his wife, she is young and beautiful as for the man, older but good-looking for his age.
"Ah, Giovanni my good friend, it is nice to have you, you've met my wife." The man says, I could tell he was Russian the way his accent was strong, his wife smiled shyly.
"Thanks for having us, this is Mila, my wife, and Luca, you've met him." He says, the man eyes Luca as if trying to remember him before he nods, he holds out a hand for me and I wearily connect my hand with his rough one.
"It's nice to meet you," I smile, he holds my hand for a second.
"Come on in," he says, something about him seems familiar, we enter the house as he steps to the side before the doors close behind us, Luca checks his watch. "Dinner is almost ready, come join us at the table."
When we entered the massive kitchen the dinner table was set beautifully, the family was gathered around the table and maids and staff were running around trying to get everything in order.
I notice a familiar face and smile, it is Angelina from the party, her eyes light up as she looks at me and she waves and I do so in return. "You've met my daughter?" The man who I've learned is named Ivan, asks.
And I nod. "A while back at the gathering," I tell him and he nods, he looks back at his daughter who sits shyly, We are all seated, me next to Giovanni and Luca.
Luca sits across from Angelina who keeps her eyes down the whole time, I notice in front of me one of the boys who I assume is Angelina's brother, glares at Luca, Luca replies with a grin.
The boy rolls his eyes and looks away angrily, along with the other boys who sit at the table, the tension can be felt in the air between the boys and Luca, but not as much as the tension that can be felt between Luca and Angelina.
Angelina looks up looking at Luca, who smiles slightly at her, to that she looks away, and Luca frowns.
The food comes out and I thank the staff as she places my plate in front of me, Gio and Ivan begin talking about something that I tune out as I eat my food. "What's your name?" The boy who sits in front of me asks, he looks to be around 21.
I smile. "Mila," I tell him.
"Are you Russian? Mila is a Russian name." He says and I shake my head.
"It's also a Spanish name," I reply and he nods.
"It also means miracle, are you a miracle Mila?" He asks in a flirting tone and I can't help but chuckle at that, I feel Gio place his hand on my thigh while glaring at the boy who shrugs in surrender, but I have a feeling he did not feel threatened or scared.
I look at Gio who returns his conversation with Ivan, a little possessive this one.
"You're so lame, Victor," Lina says as she takes a bit of her soup into her mouth looking at her brother.
