Gio sits on the couch with me as we wait for the kids to wake up, I take a sip out of my coffee that Gio has refused to try and I roll my eyes.

"Don't be a baby just try it?" I shoved my cup closer to his face and he had a look of disgust on his face.

"Absolutely Not, I don't drink coffee." He says and I roll my eyes.

"Everybody loves coffee... you just have to try it."

"I have tried it, it's fucking disgusting." He says and I give him a blank stare.

"Not the way I make it... just one sip," I tell and he finally gives up and takes the cup from my hands he examines it and takes a whiff causing me to roll my eyes. "I'm not going to poison you asshole, just try it." I chuckled.

He holds it up to his lips tilting the mug back and takes a sip of the deliciousness that is my coffee because it truly is, the best.

He drinks the coffee and looks over at me. "Not bad right?" I laugh and he takes another sip.

"It's tolerable." I snatch my cup back as I laugh.

"You know it's amazing."

He stayed the night last night with me and for the first time in three weeks, I have finally slept a full night, peacefully, in his arms.

"Daddy! You're here!" I hear from behind us as the kids run over to the couch where their father sits.

"We missed you!" They both jumped on the couch wrapping their arms around him. "Why didn't you come sooner?" Isa pulls away from him as she crosses her arms.

"I had to deal with something and I wanted to give your mom some space princess." He tells her and she frowns as she lays her head on his arm.

"Don't do that again." She said and he nodded.

"I'm sorry guys."

"It's okay, you're here now." Cade smiles before his eyes light up. "Are we going home now?" He looks at me and I chuckle at that and nod.

"Yes, baby."

"Yay!" They both say. "I miss Shadow!" Isa says and I smile at that and look at Gio.

"How is shadow?" I ask.

"Still green." He says causing me to laugh and I smile brightly.

"We're dyeing him pink next!"

We were on Gio's private jet heading home now, I looked over at him as he typed out a few texts on his phone. "Are you okay?" I ask and he looks at me and nods.

"I'm fine."

"You kinda seem nervous, is everything okay?" I ask and he exhales a breath before nodding.

"Just going over a few things with Dario, we have a plan but the execution can get a bit messy." And that scared me a bit as my eyes widened.

"Don't worry, it won't affect anything."

That calms me down and I nod. "Then what?"

"I'm going to give my position away." He says and my eyes widen.

Is he going to leave the mafia?

"You're leaving? Isn't that kinda like... impossible."

"There isn't anyone to stop me, I run it."

"What are you going to do after it's done?" I ask looking at him, I know what answer I was expecting him to say.

"Spend time with my family, I've missed too much of it already."

And I smile at that, not able to contain my happiness I lay my head against his shoulder. "I think I'd like that."

"Yeah?" He asks and I nod as I look up at him.

"Yeah."

He smiles as his lips connect to my forehead. "So who's going to take over when you leave? Sergio?"

"Fuck no." He says causing me to chuckle. "Dario was my first choice, but he refused, I don't blame him for it."

I nod. "Do you have anyone in mind?" I ask and he nods.

"Yeah... that's where it gets messy."

"Just promise me something?" I ask and he nods.

"Anything."

"Don't die in the process." He chuckles at that.

"I promise." He says causing me to smile.

I looked over at the kids who were watching movies on the little iPads I noticed Cade covering his ears with his tiny hands, he looked stressed and I could tell his ears were popping from us being so high up.

"Cade you okay baby?" He looks over at me frowns and shakes his head.

"My ears feel funny." He whines as he gets up and walks over to where we sit. "It hurts."

"Where are your headphones?" I ask and he shrugs.

"Here try this," Gio motions for Cade to come closer and he does. "Tilt your head back, like this..." he helps him tilt his head back and uses two fingers to hold his nostrils shut. "And swallow."

And Cade does and scrunches his face in the process but when he's done he looks better and he smiles. "It worked!" He says.

"Wow, how did you know that?"

"I used to hate plane rides too," Gio says and I nod. "Just keep drinking water it should be fine." He tells Cade who nods before making his way back to his seat to resume his movie.

"Who knew you were so great with children," I said smiling and he shrugged.

"There isn't anything I can't do if I'm honest."

"Okay don't get cocky now," I say and he laughs.

We finally landed and I was exhausted, the kids were asleep as we were driving back to the house, and all I wanted to do was take a nice shower and go to bed.
