"Me?" He asks shocked, I roll my eyes even though he can't see me. "Why didn't you tell me?" His voice sounded a bit concerned.

"Does it matter?" I ask.

"No. Yes... it's just, I wouldn't have been so rough, sorry." That wasn't the reaction I was expecting, and I can't help but grin.

"It's okay, I didn't feel a thing!" I joke just to bruise the little ego I feel I created, my cheeks hurt from containing my laughter.

"Oh yeah? What was all that you said..." he starts reciting me before I shove my hands over his mouth as my laughter takes over.

"Okay okay shut up!" I laugh as I move my hands off his mouth, he laughs a laugh that makes me stop just to listen to it.

Remind me to make him laugh more often because the sound I just heard was angelic.

On the flight back home I get sent a picture from Victoria, I open it and see a picture of Cade blowing on Isa's freshly painted nails.

Aww.

I save the picture to my phone and reply with a bunch of heart eyes. I turn my phone to show the picture to Gio. "Aren't they the cutest?"

"They're perfect." He tells me to send him the picture and I do before shutting off my phone.

We finally get home and when we enter the house it's like a loud house, we make our way to the living room as I watch the kids, Victoria, Sergio, Dante, and Luca gather around the living room. "You're back!" Sergio shouts as he runs over and throws his arms around me, earning a glare from Gio causing me to laugh.

Serg lets go of me and holds his arms out to Gio who just stares blankly at him causing him to frown. "You need to lighten up man."

"You guys are back!" Isa runs over and wraps her tiny arms around our legs before I pick her up, Cade waves from behind the couch, which I raise my brows at, he was hiding something.

"Hi mommy, hi daddy!" He says and I watch Gio's eyes light up as he hears it.

"Did you guys have fun?" Isa asks. "I missed you guys so much, but we had so much fun! Serg showed me how to say-"

"That was our secret!" Serg shouts before she gets to say what she has to say and I frown.

"What are you teaching my child?" I ask him he shrugs and walks over to the couch sitting down.

I put Isa down and watched her wrap her arms around Gio's legs, he was new to this so it was all kind of awkward for him, but he was doing great, he picked her up and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Swoon.

I walk over to Cade and my mouth drops as I see what he is hiding. "Omg what did you guys do?" I laugh my eyes find shadow, who was now dyed neon green.

"Sergio let us!"

"It was his idea." Serge shrugs as he shoves a chip into his mouth.

"What?" Gio asks.

I stifle my laughter as I grab the bright green dog and hold him up for Gio to see. "Shadow is green."

"Isn't he so cute! I chose the color!" Isa smiles widely causing me to laugh. "Look at him!" She points at the dog while looking at her dad, he forces a smile.

"Adorable."

"It's hideous!" Luca says and Isa frowns at him.

"You're just jealous!" She shouts and I can tell they have been arguing about this for a while. "You wish you had green hair but yours is boring!" She blows a raspberry and Luca does it back.

"Really?" I ask him and he shrugs.

I put the dog down and let Gio hang out with the kids as I walk over to Victoria who throws her arm around me. "I missed you." She smiles as I sit down next to her.

"I missed you too, thank you for watching the kids." She shakes her head.

"Really, it's been fun, the guys helped a lot." She smiles innocently, I look over at Dario who has his head on his phone as he sits on the other side of Victoria. "He just comes over to sit on his phone, and to bother me, how was the trip?" She asks.

"Ehh interesting.." I shrug and her lips curl up into a smirk.

"You're telling me every detail later." She says and I laugh because I know I will be.

It's been a few days since we've been back since our honeymoon, the kids were at school and Victoria was off today so the house was quiet.

I sit and watch the news as I wait for someone to get home, and due to my boredom I need time to pass, I turn on the news and quickly regret it as a familiar face comes on my screen.

"Police are investigating this hotel as one of the residents has been found dead, the cause of death has not been shared with the public but it is known to have been a homicide, the victim Tobias Greene, was found dead at approximately 11:47 this morning, stay tuned for more updates." My mouth drops as I hear the front door open.

"Mila?" I hear Gio ask as he walks into the living room, his brows furrowed. "You're watching the news?"

"I was bored..." I say as I turn back around the face the TV. "Tobias was found dead at a hotel this morning.." I say, the man who was my ex, an abuser and a drunk, was found dead.

"Who?" He asks as he stands behind me, behind the chair, I look up to face him. "My ex," I say as I look back at the TV.

"Hmm," he says. "Shame." He says as he walks away, my brows furrowed as I look at his retreating back.

I get up and follow him as he makes his way into the kitchen, he grabs a drink from the fridge. "Gio..? Did you do this?" I ask.

"Do what?" I give him a blank stare as my arms cross.

Does he want me to spell it out? "Did you kill him?" I say the word quietly like anyone was around to hear me say it.

He shrugs and that confirms my theory. "Why?" I ask.

"He hurt you."

I stood there dumbfounded at his answer
