(Blind AU!)

{Several Months Later}

~Will POV~

Nico pulled my hand.

"Come on, you lazy butt!" He said. "I want to go for a run!"

"What? No." I said. "Can't you just use the treadmill? You've gotten pretty good at that. You don't need me for it anymore."

"No! I want to run in the fresh air!" He whined. "You're so lazy! I can't go for a run outside without you! If I do I'll run in the road, get hit by a car, and die!"

I groaned.

"Will!" He whined. "Sunshine! Come on! You love the outdoors!"

"Not when I'm running around exercising." I said.

"Stop being a lazy butt!" He said.

{An Hour And A Half Later}

I panted and wheezed sitting by a tree. Nico ran in place, looking extremely unhappy.

"Will! You're so out of shape!" He huffed. "You're lucky you have such a naturally built physique because you can barely workout."

I laughed.

"Help me up." I said.

He reached out his hand and I grabbed it. I yanked him down. He shrieked and laughed as I tickled him.

{The Next Day}

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Baking." Nico said. "Bread."

He picked up a pan.

"Jason was over, he helped me set the timer and stuff." He said, "want a piece?"

"Sure." I said, "I've missed your cooking and baking."

"Can you cut it? I don't want to lose a finger." He said.

I pecked his lips and took a knife then started to cut.

"You like the end pieces, don't you?" He asked.

"They're good." I said.

"You're so gross." He teased.

I rolled my eyes. I buttered two pieces of bread then handed him one and sat down at the table. He took a bite, remaining quiet for a little while.

"We're not working out." He said.

I stared at him. He suppressed a smile before devolving into laughter.

"The look on your face." He said. "I wish I could see it."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"But really, we're not working out." He said.

"Nico-" I started.

"In the exercising sense." He added. "You can't keep up with me. I need to workout with someone who I can challenge myself with. That's why Jason was here. While he helped me bake, we talked about it. He's going to be my workout buddy from now on."

"So...you're dumping me as a workout partner?" I asked. "Oh, thank gods. I love you but it was torture! I am not made for exercise!"

He laughed.

"I know." He said. "I had to drag you out of the house to go for a run yesterday."

I took a bite of bread.

"When do you go back to work?" He asked. "I'm pretty self-sufficient now and Jason would be by everyday to work out so I'd have someone to help me out if I need it."

"I'm going back in a month." I said.

{A Few Years Later}

~Nico POV~

I slowly made my way through the door. As I walked through, I tapped my foot so I didn't step on anything. Finally, I hit something wooden. I reached out and grasped the top of it. I walked closer, listening to the small sounds before reaching my hand down. My hand touched some fabric and I moved it until I found something else.

I smiled.

"Is that your little foot?" I said.

The baby cooed and giggled as I wiggled her foot. She started to squirm then something wrapped around my finger. I let go of her foot, holding her hand instead.

Footsteps approached behind me but stopped at the doorway.

"What does she look like?" I asked.

"She's a newborn. She looks like a potato." Will joked. I chuckled at him. "She has brown hair, big brown eyes, and light olive skin," he said, "she has chubby cheeks and right now she's got drool all over her."

I felt him reach over my shoulder.

"I want to hold her." I said.

"Yeah?" He said. He fixed my arm position then someone very small was placed in my arms. I smiled. "Cute." He said.

I snuggled the baby, her cheek rubbing against mine. She giggled when I kissed it.

"Smells like baby soap." I said. "You smell like baby soap." I kept snuggling her and kissing her face.

"Mia. Mia." I said. "Mia." The baby giggled at her name. She grabbed my nose, and I laughed. Her hands are so small.

"Aww," Will said, "aren't you two just the most adorable?"

"I dunno," I replied with a smirk.

Will chuckled, "Nico, I know what you're thinking. Don't say it."

"Fine," I sighed, "I won't make a blind joke about myself."

"I'm glad you're not still..." he said, "...upset about it."

"I can't change it," I told him, "I've accepted that, and I've grown. You were a big help too, Sunshine. I don't think I'd have gotten out of my slump without you."

He pecked me on the lips and rested his forehead against mine. "Anytime, Darling," he said, "I'm always here for you."

(And that, dear readers, is the end. I have no more pre-written chapters, and I don't see myself writing anything more in the near future. Maybe I'll pick this book back up later on, but I haven't been fixated on PJO for a while now. I hope you all enjoyed what you've read as I have enjoyed writing it. Thank you for reading.)
