Gwen was sitting in one of the chairs in the waiting room, same as everyone else, next to her boyfriend and Evie, sleeping in her stroller. Gwen had not peeled her eyes form the doors, she was bouncing her leg up and down, anxiously, waiting for news on Liam.

It's been a few hours since Fiona was arrested. And while Gwen of course was worried about her, she was more worried about Liam. And Gwen couldn't help but feel angry at Fiona. What was she doing with cocaine isn't the house in the first place? She knew there were kids present and shouldn't have been doing drugs in the first place.

"How's Evie?" Gwen whispered to her boyfriend.

"She's fine. She's sleeping. Are you okay?"

Gwen shook her head and sign, "I'm trying not to blame Fiona for what happened but I just can't help it. She should've kept a closer eye on him."

Pete nodded, "I know, babe. I know." He rubbed her back in comforting circles.

Lip was on her other side as he also waited anxiously for news on their baby brother. Kev leaned forward to talk to them.

He signed, "They probably took her to District 6 for booking. That's where they usually take you before they transfer you to County. She's gonna need a lawyer. You got anybody you want us to call?"

Neither Gwen or Lip said anything.

"Lip?" Kevin asked, "Gwen?"

"Yeah?" Lip asked, not taking his eyes off the doors.

"Is there a lawyer you want us to use?" Kevin repeated, "I used a guy on Calumet a couple years ago for that DUI thing I had, you know? He smells like dirty dish towels, but if you breathe through your mouth, it's bearable."

"Fiona Gallagher?" A nurse called as she came in through the doors and Gwen and Lip sprang to their feet.

"Gwendolyn Gallagher."

"Philip Gallagher."

"Is Fiona here?" The nurse asked as everyone got up from their seats.

"No." Lip shook his head.

"Will she be back?" The nurse pressed.

"No, not soon." Gwen shook her head, "I'm Liam's sister, and this is his brother." She pointed between them.

"Is there another parent or legal guardian available?"

"No. Is Liam gonna be okay?" Gwen asked anxiously.

"I'm sorry. I really need a responsible adult present -" Gwen interrupted her.

"Look, lady, my mom's a bipolar drug addict who split years ago, and my dad's a drunk, and the cops just hauled Fiona off the jail, okay?" Gwen snapped, "Look, if you're looking for a responsible adult, me and Philip are the only ones that pass. Now... how is Liam? Is he gonna be okay?"

The nurse signed, "Your brother came in with acute cocaine toxicity - disoriented, hallucinating, and with a dangerously elevated heart rate."

Gwen could feel more tears brim in her eyes as the nurse continued, "He's on Naloxone for his altered mental status and benzodiazepine to control his seizures."

"Seizures?" Debbie repeated, softly.

The nurse signed, "We're monitoring his temperature, his heart rate, and his glucose levels, but he has started to settle down."

"Can we see him?" Veronica asked, softly.

"I'm sorry. Only immediate family members over 18 are allowed in the PICU." The nurse explained.
