Song Mingi

Mingi stepped off of the plane and smelled the fresh air of New York. It felt good to be back in his hometown.

"It's good to have you back sir."

"It's great to be back, how has things been since I've been gone?" Mingi asked.

"Good, I held the fort down."

"Glad I could count on you San." Mingi smiled.

San smiled before grabbing his luggage.

"How was China?" San asked closing the trunk.

"It was...hot." Mingi chuckled.

"I was talking about the photographs." San said with a straight face.

"I was talking about the photographs." Mingi chuckled before getting into the car.

At the age of 29 he was one of the top five best photographers in the country. He's traveled multiple locations and even was summoned by the President to photograph him and his family.

"So what's on my schedule?" Mingi asked scrolling through his phone.

"Well it's optional, but Steve McCurry is having a gala this week and he wants you to attend." San said.

"Thee Steve McCurry?" Mingi asked.

"Mhm." San chuckled.

"Fuck yeah, I'm definitely going." Mingi said.

Mingi is an amazing photographer, but he was always down to meet the people who paved the way for him.

"Straight to the house?" San asked.

Mingi thought for a second before shaking his head.

"No, take me to the studio." He said.

"You got it." San nodded.

Mingi looked out the window before resting his head back. Life wasn't always this good, he had a rough start. His parents didn't support his dreams of becoming a photographer.

Being raised in an Asian household they wanted you to have a realistic career. Become a doctor or a surgeon, whatever paid more. He understood his parents doubts and they made it clear they didn't support his career but he didn't love them any less.

Mingi snapped out of his thoughts as the car came to a stop. He looked out the window and noticed they were at his studio.

"Thanks San." Mingi said.

"I'll drop your luggage off at your house." San smiled.

"Drinks tomorrow night?" Mingi asked.

"Hell yeah." San chuckled as Mingi closed the door.

Mingi watched as he pulled off before going into his studio. He walked into his office and noticed a few of his unfinished projects.
