Melody Taylor

Melody leg shook anxiously as she waited for her name to be called. Here she was in Washington D.C. at the FBI headquarters.

"Ms.Taylor, Mr.Wray is ready for you."

Melody grabbed her box full of files before following the women. She guided her through big doors before she reached his office.

"Ms.Taylor, it's a pleasure to meet you." He said shaking her hand.

"Likewise director." She smiled before sitting down.

"My associates tells me you have something for me?" He asked.

Melody nodded placing the box on his desk.

"I can't trust the regular police in New York with this information. I believe you will do what's best." She said.

He looked at her and raised his brow before going through the box.

"What makes you think you could trust the FBI with this information?" He asked.

"Because you seem like a smart man Mr.Wray. As you can see the names on that list is some of the biggest politics in New York. If you bust this case...do you know how big of a check will come with that?" She asked.

He looked at her and chuckled.

"I like you, I can't provide you with protection though Ms.Taylor." He said.

"Don't worry, I won't need it. He's suspicious of me...but he doesn't know about what I have." She said.

"Good, you take care of yourself Ms.Taylor." He said standing.

She shook his hand and smiled, she walked out of his office and let out a breath of relief. She was done...she put her hoodie on and stepped out of the head quarters walking to the parking garage.

She checked her surroundings before getting into the car. Mingi looked at her as she removed her hoodie.

"Everything good?" He asked.

"I gave them everything now let's go." She said.

He smiled before pulling off, Washington was three hours from New York so they had a short drive ahead of them.

"Do you think it's enough to put him in jail?" Mingi asked focusing on the road.

"It's more than enough." She said.

The car fell into an uncomfortable silence. Melody walked on eggshells around Mingi, since last night remark she didn't know where they stood. It kind of drove her crazy, she rested her head on the window and sighed.

"You ok?" He asked.

"Are you still mad at me?" She asked.

"Mel, I'm not mad at you. I never was, but I am sensitive when it comes to my feelings. I've protected them for years, and when I finally decide to let loose I get questioned." He sighed.

"I understand exactly where you are coming from. I only asked because you haven't been in a serious relationship since Jenny. I'm sorry I asked, I wouldn't have if I known it would've offended you." She said.
