Omniscient
Dymond carefully and quietly made his way inside the house with his pistol drawn. Whoever had entered his home probably didn't value their life because choosing his house was certainly the wrong choice. Dianna had locked herself in the bathroom located in the bedroom she'd been occupying. She feared that Montell had gone back to the woods to see if her body was still there. When he didn't see her he must've located Dymond's house and decided to check it out. She didn't know why her first thought was to call Dymond instead of the cops. She knew nothing about him but his name so what could he do to protect her that the cops couldn't?Dymond heard a noise coming from one of the bedrooms and made his way to it. He pushed the door open with so much force that the doorknob left a dent in the wall.
"Get the fuck—"
Tanika quickly turned around, dropping her cellphone. She stood there with wide eyes after being startled by her brother.
"Neek?" Dymond sucked his teeth and tucked the gun in the back of his pants. "What the fuck? I could've hurt you. You can't be breaking in like that. Why didn't you call?"
"Well excuse me for not knowing to call my own brother before coming over." She said.
"Don't start that slick mouth shit." He warned and she cracked a smile. He fought the urge to smile back. At least she'd smiled after what she'd witnessed in the woods just a few days ago.
"What's going on?" Dymond questioned, walking toward her. "It's late baby sister."
"It's only a little after 10." She informed him as if he didn't already know that.
"Okay? You still have no business being out. These parts of town ain't safe for women, especially for young vulnerable girls like you. If you're gonna be coming over here Neek then you have to start listening to what I say. There's always a reason for whatever I say." He told her, watching as she plopped down on the bed and kicked her shoes off. Feeling someone grab his arm, he snatched his arm out of their grip and spun around.
"It's only me." 15-year-old Taraji said.
"You too?" Dymond slapped his forehead.
"Yes, me too," Taraji said just as dramatic as he had. "You're not happy to see us?" She walked around him and made her way to the bed, taking a seat next to Tanika.
"Bro, where the fuck do y'all daddies be when y'all be out in the streets at this time of night? There ain't shit out here for a 13 and 15 year old to be doing. All the shit y'all needed to do should've been done in the daylight. And I know I'm gonna have to hear your daddy's mouth when he told you to stay away from me." He said as his eyes landed on Taraji.
"You're my brother. He'll be alright. He's such a stuffed shirt." Taraji rolled her eyes at the thought of her father being so strict or too good for things and people.
"Agreed, but that's still your da— oh shit." Dymond turned around and headed out of the bedroom to let Dianna know that everything was fine. He'd gotten so caught up in his lecture that he forgot that she was probably panicking and hiding somewhere. He made his way into the bedroom and looked around to see no one there.
"Shorty if you're in here come out. Everything's solid." He said. There was silence for about 15 seconds before Dianna finally spoke.
"Are you sure?" She said from inside the bathroom.
