Omniscient
Meanwhile, at Dymond's place, he stood in the living room waiting for his sisters to get ready for school. Tanika had brought over a few outfits so she let Taraji borrow something to wear. Taraji had crept out of the house last night and had been riding around with a friend when she got the call from Tanika asking her for directions to Dymond's house. Taraji remembered what Dymond had mentioned about the streets being unsafe to wander alone so she asked her friend to take her to pick up Tanika. From there the two girls were dropped off at Dymond's place. Taraji's father had been blowing her up all morning since he'd slept the night away and didn't hear her sneak out.

Taraji walked out of the bedroom she and Tanika had shared last night. She was dressed for school but she didn't have her backpack. She dreaded going home to get it because she knew her father had probably called into work and was at home waiting for her.

"Well don't you look nice." She said in a chipper tone to hide how nervous she was. Dymond turned around. "Oop and you have your hair down? You never let your locs down. I know that's right."

Dymond sucked his teeth and put his hair up in a bun just because she'd mentioned it. He'd gotten up bright and asked his sisters if they wanted him to make them breakfast this morning. That was odd considering the most Dymond would offer a guest was a beer or water. He wasn't much of a cook so his favorite breakfast was cereal. The girls declined and said they'd rather eat breakfast at school.

"You didn't have your hair down for your sneaky link in there did you?" Taraji questioned.

"T chill."

"What did I say?" She plopped down on the sofa.

"For real T. Chill with that. I'm not even on that with shorty."

Taraji opened her mouth to say something but Dymond cut her off.

"And before you ask anything else...don't." He told her. "Just leave it alone."

"Shorty? Oooh.." Taraji teased. "You only call girls that when you're attracted to them. It's like your way of flirting. An odd way but hey I'm not judging." She shrugged.
