6-6-88 Wednesday
I had to wake up early that morning, I got a call
around 6 from Rhonda as she told me what to do today. Some family scheduled a appointment for pictures, as I sat up. Not being able to fall back asleep. Just staying up instead. I looked over at the camera sitting on my night stand. I sighed. "Why did I choose to do this again?" I mumbled quietly. Cmon now, it wasn't even a hard job. I was just being lazy. I didn't feel like going out today but now I figured I'd have to go out everyday now since I got this job. I got up from my bed. Walking out into the kitchen. Making myself some coffee, pouring the water into the dispenser and al that shit. Sitting there quietly as I wanted for it to finish. Staring out the window. The sun shining bright, it was a quiet morning. We didn't live far from the sunset strip. I could still hear the faint noises of cars and the loud city. But at least I wasn't living in it, then I was fine. After finishing my coffee, i pretty much just layed in my room watching mtv until it hit 11.
Time of the appointment. I got up, got dressed in my comfortable clothes and grabbed my camera. As I headed out the door, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Despite my initial reluctance, I knew that once I started taking pictures, I would feel a bit more relaxed and it would get easier. I didn't know about any big jobs or any serious stuff, cause I barely knew how to work this one.
Arriving at the location, I set up my equipment and waited for the family to arrive. When they did, I greeted them with a warm smile and began the photoshoot. As I directed them, capturing their smiles and laughter, I couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness seeing them. The two parents and kids. I was happy for them, but couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness. This was suppose to be a happy moment, and I was thinking of my life. I needed to get over it. I would never bond with my family like they're doing now, not anymore.
After the small photoshoot, I sat down to edit the pictures. As I scrolled through them,my hands holding the Minolta maxxum 7000. I felt a sense of achievement in my work. I knew that the family would cherish these pictures for years to come, and that thought brought me a sense of satisfaction.
As I packed up my equipment and headed home, I couldn't help but feel a bit more relaxed and good for this job. Despite my initial reluctance.
As I walked to my car, I couldn't help but smile a bit. This job had been easy so far. I felt a sense of pride in what I had accomplished, and a renewed sense of confidence in my skills.
I drove home with a sense of peace and contentment
Getting back to my apartment and heading back in, it was around 2. i had nothing else to do today, so i just layed in bed for the rest of the day. until i got a call, i groaned out loud. picking it up.
"hey amira, you think you can come into work later?"-
