Time passes by and soon the night sky was replaced by dusk bringing in a blinding light through the windows that hits Wangji’s handsome face who groaned lightly while the alarm on the bedside table sounded creating a loud noise to wake anyone up from their deep slumber. Sitting up on bed, Wangji ruffled his already messed up bed hair while sleepily scanning through the room he’s in. It took him at least three minutes to get a grip and recall why he’s currently sleeping in an unfamiliar room and also every other details that had occurred for the past few days. Remembering his first day at work which happened to be today made him smile widely at the thought of working in an office and a really good company at that. He sighed contentedly and got off bed immediately heading to the ajoined bathroom to prepare for the day.

Done preparing, he glanced at himself through the mirror once more and what he saw made him extremely satisfied with him on black pants and blazer and a cream button-down shirt and his work bag. How long had he wished to ever dress up like this to work? Without any worry of what might happen and who would take turn in bullying him throughout the day with loads of work which doesn’t even needs to be attended to? He doesn’t really remember but he chooses to ignore that. He really would appreciate if nothing ruin his mood right now. His thoughts drifted to a particular person and his ears turned slightly pink remembering their first encounter. Oh how happy he is right now to see that pretty face again but he immediately scolded himself remembering that that person is already engaged though none knows what actually happened to his partner, but anything is possible right? What if he decided on going after him, would his boss's fiancé return back or was he as Xue Yang had said ‘dead?’ He knows deep down that he shouldn’t be thinking about this but he just can’t help it. What if the said person really returns, he wasn’t sure how he would react to it as it would be super awkward and he hated that feeling. He really won’t be happy seeing someone who looks exactly like himself. He sighed.

Ignoring the thoughts, he went out of his room and on getting down the stairs, he heard some clanging sound from the kitchen. Curious, he approached it and was welcomed by a smiling Xue Yang.

“Good morning Wangji. Hope you slept well?” he asked while dishing the breakfast he is currently making.

“It was fine.” Wangji replied with a slight smile.

“You came down just in time for breakfast, seat and have some.” Said Yang putting down a plates in front of Wangji who complied.

“Thanks.”

“no prob.” He said taking his own seat and immediately digging in.

The breakfast was quiet and peaceful but was immediately broken by Xue Yang who suddenly spoke.
“hey Wangji.”

“mm”

“here” Yang said passing over two keys to Wangji who frowned slightly.

“it’s a spare key and a car key.” Yang said while he continued eating.

“thanks but why would I need a car key?”

“oh Zhan asked me to give it to you.” Yang said and Wangji tilted his head a little.

“why?” Wangji asked giving Yang a confused look.

“For work of course. Zhan doesn’t like it when there are too much people with him during work so his assistants drive him wherever he wants to go so get used to it.” Yang said and Wangji nodded in understanding.
Done with breakfast, they both did the dishes and eventually drove to the company and of course on separate cars.

Stepping into the company, Wangji braced himself with internal motivation and strode forward heading straight towards Ziyi's office which will also be his henceforth. Walking through the completely neat and tidy hallway and towards the elevator, he noticed some more details he failed to notice the last time he was here from nervousness. In his left was a big room with rows of worker’s desks laid out in a cubicle like fashion ‘probably the advertising department’ he thought. The room inside of the wall were a burstling market place packed with office workers donned in suits busying themselves with either paperwork or their electronics devices. No one paid any attention on Wangji who stopped to admire the room’s architecture design in awe and eventually moved on. The next room is what seem like another group of workers whose focus are mainly on designs because that explains the art materials which caught his eyes. He was totally struck at how beautiful their paintings are but got distracted when the elevator opened behind him which he eventually turned to, getting in with other workers who exchanged a greeting with him, and pressing on the top floor button after the elevator's door closes.
