Zhan and Wangji went to the mall for shopping, getting all kinds of items Zhan could think of as a gift and Wangji couldn’t help but wonder why. One wouldn’t get this much for someone you barely even know after a first meet right? Then why was Zhan acting strange? No matter how Wangji thought about it he still couldn’t wrap his mind around it and coming up with an answer to those questions and so he decided to ignore it for now and focus on what he has at hand.
They were busy shopping for few hours that when they were done, it was already 11pm and the car was already filled up with huge bags.
Wangji thought that they will be heading to the restaurant as he was tired already only to be dragged back inside by Zhan to a store which sales male wears. Wangji thinking Zhan wanted to get some stuff for himself decides to engross himself on his phone and also responding to Zhan whenever he asks which is okay and which is not. After Zhan was done selecting, Wangji got quite shocked when Zhan gave him the bags after pay and telling him to have it.

“here, it’s yours.”
“thanks but I never said I needed anything.” Wangji says in refusal.
“it’s fine. I wanted to get it for you on my own. As a thank you for your help.” Zhan says still offering the bags.
“I chose to help you because I want to, not because I wanted things in return.”
“I never…” *sigh*
“Look, I just want to give it and neither for the reasons you just said. So please accept it. Please.” Zhan looks pleadingly at Wangji and Wangji couldn’t help but sigh. Taking the bags from Zhan, he was immediately graced with a wide smile and that couldn’t stop the a smile from forming on his lips.
“Let’s go now, it’s getting late. I don’t want to miss them.” Zhan says and they both head to where the car was parked.
‘ding.’
The jingle from the door bell notified the persons inside the restaurant and on seeing who it was, they waved at them as the other's approaches.
“when Wangji told me you were coming I thought he was kidding and Jingyi hadn’t slept a wink always asking if you guys are almost here.” Mrs Wang says sitting next to the already seated Zhan and Wangji and serving them their dishes.
“We’re sorry for keeping you waiting aunty.” Wangji apologized.
“Umm it’s fine and besides, the sky outside looks so breathtaking tonight so I want to watch more of it before going back home.” Mrs Wang says and looks at Zhan.
“how are you cutie? You look quite pale.” She added and Zhan replies.
“I’m fine aunty… it’s actually just the weather.”
“okay take care of yourself okay?” she says moving Zhan’s tray of food closer to him.
“Thanks”
“no prob”
“where’s Jingyi?” Zhan asks.
“ohh he went out just now with Jia. We lack some curry so she went to get some few blocks away.”
“ohh ok.”
“my my.. You should stop asking and focus on eating. You’re very thin which adds to your cuteness and that might be the death of a lot of people here so I have to stop that cuz someone might kill them all with just his glares.” She says eyeing Wangji a little who looked wide eyed at her and she snickered to herself. Zhan gave her a confused look but didn’t ask more about it.
“Pretty gege!!” Jingyi shouted behind them and he ran to where Zhan is seated, trying hard to climb up his hips which he was assisted on by Zhan and he smiled brightly.
