WANGJI'S POVGetting to the garage and parking the car safely, I briskly got off the car and head towards my ‘for now’ home. Work had been quite tiring today as the boss wasn’t available so I and Ziyi were in charge of taking care of everything while he’s away. I’ve been taught a lot of things already by Ziyi that I could already maintain some parts without her supervision. I might as well say its quite fun though as a first timer. Ziyi informed me that I’ll be working in all departments for sometime so I can gain some experience in them which to me would be great. All I have to worry about is that girl who doesn’t seem to be so fond of me which I don’t care by the way. I really don’t know what I did to offend her but whatever, I can leave with anything even with hate from my work colleague and besides, I think I can guess what exactly brought that act from her.
Opening and getting into the house, I heard the clanging of plates from the kitchen. ‘seems like he came back early.’ I said to myself.
Striding towards the kitchen, I was engulfed by the scent of roasted chicken which made my stomach grumble and that reminded me I missed lunch that day. I honestly don’t like meat much as I’m a vegetarian but this, this is laterally mouth watering.“good evening.” I said startling Yang to which he jerked slightly which earned a chuckle from me
“Jesus Wangji! Are you a ghost or what? I didn’t even hear you walking in.” he says massaging his chest.
“Sorry I scared you.”
“it's fine but don’t do that again.” He says with a light glare and stirring the lotus rib soup that was still on the cooker.
“k…... never knew you could cook this much.” I said curious.
“I learnt from my nanny.” He says grinning and I raised my brows at him.
“I really did. When I was younger, back then I’ve always begged her to teach me how as I am a foodie person just like Zhan. So after getting approval from my always busy parents, she then taught me how and it’s been quite useful to me. Not everyone likes eating junk food. I’d prefer homemade more.” He says with in a proud voice.“mmm.” It was quite shocking hearing him say that as I’ve always believed that rich kids aren’t aware of these basic things and that they always have someone who does stuff for them. Guess he’s different.
“do you have anything you would like to have or are these to your likings?” he asked pointing at the already dished food by his side and my stomach grumble loudly which earned a slight laugh from him and I cleared my throat clearly embarrassed.
“I guess that’s a yes. Go freshen up. I’ll be done in abit.”“you don’t need any help?” I asked as I wanted to help out. He made the dish so I should at least help him with something right?
“No worries, I’m done anyways. quickly go now, it will get cold and I’m starving.” He says walking towards me and slightly pushing me towards the stairs.
“okay though You can start without me though” I said.
“no thank you. I’m waiting.” He says walking back to the kitchen.
Getting to my room, I placed my work bag on the bed and head to the bathroom for a night shower which took almost fifteen minutes as I don’t want to keep Xue Yang waiting. Getting to the dinning room, Xue Yang was already seated and scrolling through his phone. I sat down opposite him and cleared my throat a bit to get his attention.
“I really think you float-walk in the air. Your steps are so faint.” He says and passing over the dished food.
“Thanks.”
