“Please have a seat Mr Xiao.” a doctor said offering Zhan a seat opposite his.
“Thanks doc.” Zhan says and the doctor smiled in reply.
“Are the results out already? What does it say? Is it very bad?” zhan asked nervous and one could sense the fear on his voice.
“Calm down Mr Xiao it’s actually not very bad but a very good news wel…that depends on how you would take it but please, you should please be calm. That’s also a way of ensuring it’s safety.” The doctor say and Zhan frowns in confusion.
“What do you mean?” he asks and the doctor sigh.
“What do you think is really wrong with you Mr Xiao?” The doctor asks seriously
“i- i-I don’t know. That’s why I’m here to find out right?” He says nervously playing with his fingers and the doctor hummed.
“according to what you described, you said you feel nauseous from smell of food which you end up throwing up, experiencing dizzy spells, cold, fatigue, and what is it again…food cravings and morning sickness right Mrs Xiao?”
“y-yeah.”
“after running the test on you. It’s was actually very surprising with the result as I’ve never seen but heard about this kind of situation before but guess you’re amongst the… what can I call it, the lucky ones so…here.” The doctor passes the test results over to Zhan who received with a confused look.
“Lucky ones?” Zhan asks unsure.
“Yeah.” The doctor replies and Zhan proceeds in reading the results.
The more he reads, the wider his eyes became and the more confused he was. It feels very impossible to him that he even immediately doubted the results.
“H-h-ho-how is it p-p-posibble? “ Zhan says in a stammering tone.
“it is what it is Mr Xiao. Congratulations, you’re four weeks pregnant.” At that, the tears that he had been holding back fell from his eyes after the doctor confirmed what he just read. He stared at the doctor with pained eyes.
“p-please don’t joke with me like that doc. I’m a man h-how can i…” he couldn't find it in him to ask.
How can he be pregnant? He’s a man for cried out loud. It’s not possible biologically, physically so how can he be fuckin pregnant. No! the doctor is definitely playing him.
“I’m saying the truth Mr Xiao. You can go to other doctors but I very much assure you that the results will still be the same and I believe you yourself have noticed some changes in you for the past weeks.”
Some changes? Of course he did. He added more weight than before which he believed was his lover’s fault for feeding him too much and trying to chubby him up, his backside became bigger and even his chest wasn’t left out and now he’s experience some stuff so he decided to make a test to know what was wrong. He was very shocked at what the doctor said and he couldn’t help think about what would Yibo think. What he would say.
He slowly places his hand on his stomach and whispered on his breath with an unconscious smile.
“I’m pregnant?. I really am pregnant?. I can still give it all to him after all, but… I’m a man. Will he accept it? What will he say? Will he hate me for it? I don’t want that. I love him too much for that to happen.” He breathes out sadly.
The doctor frowned a little on sensing the staggered breath Zhan was taking and he got very worried.
