"Okay, we're getting married," his voice reverberated in the room.

I looked at him in astonishment. Was he really ready to marry me?

My heart was pounding so hard that it felt like it would escape my chest was he thinking? He could have rejected my proposal, but he didn't.

As we returned to the mandap, I couldn't help but wonder why he didn't seem surprised when he read Ruhi Didi's letter.

It made me wonder whether he knew something that I didn't.

While the pandit ji restarted the mantras, I sat beside him, still in disbelief that just a few hours ago, I was hurt at the thought of him marrying someone else.

And now, here we were, taking vows for our marriage, bound together for seven lifetimes.

After the wedding, we walked towards the dining hall where the guests were already present.

I saw some of the people giving me a look of disgust and judging eyes and whispering among themselves.
I somehow listened to a few words that they were saying about me.

Person 1- "ye kon hai? Ruhanika naam tha na dulhan ka toh ye kon hai?" (Who is she? Wasn't it Ruhanika, the name of the bride?)

Person 2- "No, she is her distant relative."

Person 1-  "Par dulhan kaise badal gayi, or ye toh itni sundar bhi nahi hai Ruhanika jyada sundar hai."(How did the bride replace? And Ruhanika is way more beautiful than her.)

Person 2- "Yeah right and..."

"Uncle and Aunty, the couple has arrived, I think it's time for them to enjoy themselves and you can continue your this ladki kaise badal gayi and all discussion back at your home or on the way back, kaafi achcha masala mila hai na time ka toh pata hi nahi chalega ki ghar kab pahuch gaye. So I request you please maintain some peace and  enjoy your dinner."

(Uncle and aunty, the couple has arrived, I think it's time for them to enjoy themselves and you can continue your how the bride swapped and all discussion back at your home or on the way, you have got such a good topic that you won't even know when you reach home.)

As I looked at Ayaansh, it was impossible to miss the sarcasm in his tone and the all-too-familiar expression of "I am so done" on his face. The situation was almost comical and I would have found it amusing if I wasn't stuck in the middle of it.

I am starting to understand how much my actions have hurt him. He fought for me, but I was unable to support him and chose to get married instead.

I still cannot forget the look of shock on his face when he found out about my decision, and I will never forgive myself for causing him so much pain.

I was lost in thought when a spoonful of strawberry ice cream appeared in front of me.

Rudraksh was waiting for me to eat it, but I didn't like that flavour, making me nauseous.

So, I quickly asked for some gulab jamun which was resting a little away from us before Ayaansh. He passed the bowl of gulab jamun and then Rudraksh tried to feed me some of it.

I ate it and then I started to feel really hungry. So, I quickly began eating my dinner.

They had prepared so much for the wedding, but Ruhi didi eloped, leaving behind the most beautiful lehenga I have ever seen and some delicious food.

I have always seen her wearing simple clothes, but she still looks elegant in anything she wears.

She is not reckless but has always been a very calculative person, and something must have happened between her and Rudraksh.
