I was enjoying a peaceful sleep when suddenly I felt a jolt, and the next moment, I found myself on the floor. Glancing around, I noticed my bride comfortably sprawled across the bed, sound asleep and oblivious to my unexpected descent.
I stood up and checked the time, it was early morning, and I went into the bathroom to prepare for the departure.
I was ready and was sitting in the lawn area with my and her family and having my breakfast.
The ambience was tranquil, with Ayaansh engrossed in a conversation with his father, and Ruhanika's father conspicuously absent.
As I rose to search for him, I spotted Ayaansh approaching with his father.
I respectfully bent down to touch my father-in-law‘s feet and receive his blessings. Observing him, I noted his youthful appearance, imposing demeanor, and commanding aura.
He scrutinized me momentarily, and when I decided to break the silence, I initiated the conversation,
“ Hii Ayaansh, is all the packing done for the departure?”
Ayaansh looked at me giving a, are you serious look and rolled his eyes before nodding.
I felt offended as no one had ever shown me disrespect like this, not even Yug and he certainly has some audacity.
“Humse baat nahi karoge kya ya hum dikhai nahi de rahe hai?”
("Will you not talk to me, or am I not visible to you?")His father questioned, keenly calculating my every move.
“No, it’s nothing like that. By the way, how are you? It must be shocking for you whatever happened yesterday.”
“Indeed it was, Samyuktha should not have married you but we can’t do anything now. What’s done is done. I hope you will not disappoint me.”
“Samyuktha?” I asked again, confirming.
“My sister, your wife, whom you married a few hours ago,”
Ayaansh said. I feel so embarrassed now. How the hell, I didn’t know my wife’s name?
“Yes don’t worry, I will take care of her, she is now my responsibility and my wife.”
"She is my only daughter and is very precious to me and her happiness matters the most, I don’t know why she agreed to marry you but now, you must take good care of her otherwise the consequences won't be good for you.”
I nodded in a positive response and Ayaansh chuckled and walked away after touching my feet with his father. I will surely teach him a lesson someday.
Mera hi saala hai kaha hi jayega.
(He's my brother-in-law, where else will he go?)
I heard a commotion and looked in that direction and saw Samyuktha coming downstairs along with both of our mothers and Sridha. She was wearing a dark colour Anarkali which consists of floral patterns of various colours, such as, red, pink, yellow, green and white. To complement this exquisite Anarkali, the ensemble is paired with a gold necklace that enhances its royal appeal.
She looks stunning, everything complimenting her skin tone making her look beautiful. Her hair was filled with vermilion and a nuptial chain of my name was doing something to me.
