My wife usually kept her distance from me, so I was genuinely surprised to find her in my office, dressed in slightly baggy clothes, glasses on, and her hair loose, waiting for me for lunch. She looked absolutely stunning as she examined the photos, her lips pressed together, making her cheeks more prominent and revealing the most adorable expression on her face.
Her way of talking changed, if not by making bold statements. The girl I married was nowhere seen, who always tries to rile me up for no reason so the sudden change is surely suspicious but it brings me a sense of relief that she came to have lunch with me instead of sending it to someone.Samyuktha has always been the type of person who would talk about anything and everything, spreading her sunshine aura as much as she can but there are times when she goes into her world completely. Sometimes zoning out, thinking deeply about something like she is somewhere else, no matter how many times you call she will return only when she wants to.
I have searched with all her symptoms, read many books about it and even consulted with my friend. He suggested that seek professional help and keep her brain occupied.
I would rather have her occupied with me than her being inside her brain. And that's what I am going to do.
For the past week, the company has been losing its share, and it's stressing me out not being able to do anything. So this advertisement project is huge for us due to the increasing popularity of Aryan Kapoor, called Nation's Heartthrob.
It was an unexpected approach that Aryan made and he requested only Krishna be the main lead opposite him. But Samyuktha praising him is giving me second thoughts.
And it's irking me even more seeing him interacting with my wife."EVERYONE GET READY, TAKE YOUR RESPECTABLE POSITIONS"
The director spoke from the mic and everyone started to do their part of the job.
As the cinematographer, Samyuktha carefully framed the shot, adjusting the lighting to capture the perfect glow of the scene. She checked the camera angles, ensuring everything was in place for the advertisement shoot. With a nod, she signalled the director, and the cameras rolled, capturing the scene in a warm, golden light.
Today, I showed up at the shoot despite her warning me not to come. Since we got this project, I've never seen Samyuktha so serious. Perhaps it's because this is her first project assisting Devhuti Ma'am, giving her a real chance to prove herself. She has spent countless nights meticulously reviewing everything from the theme to the script visualisation before submitting her work. She's exceptional, really exceptional. Even now, they're reshooting, and her entire focus is on achieving perfection. Her passion and dedication shine through in her work and attitude.
It's been over an hour, and the shoot is still ongoing. I can feel the tension between Aryan and Krishna as they glare and bicker with each other. When this proposal first came, Krishna rejected it outright. However, considering our current situation, she eventually agreed-her loyalty is unwavering. Despite our company's numerous awards, it's still relatively new and vulnerable to being overshadowed by competitors.
The tension between Krishna and Aryan was affecting the whole crew, and seeing this the director announced the short break and asked Krishna and Aryan to sort out between them, due to their personal problem, they cannot create problems for the crew members. Throughout, my attention has been fixed on one particular person who is becoming an integral part of me without even trying. Now, that person is following Aryan, who is in turn following Krishna back to the building. I discreetly make my way in the direction they're heading.
Samyuktha creeps around the corner, peering into a quiet area of the building where Aryan and Krishna have retreated. The hallway is dimly lit, with only a few scattered lights casting long shadows. Aryan and Krishna stand close, their voices hushed but intense, the tension between them palpable even from a distance. But that is different from where my attention is.
