Note guys it's a long chapter.

Enjoy!

They still hadn't noticed my presence, and I reached their table as they were engrossed in their conversation. "Namaste, Uncle. What a pleasant surprise!"

I greeted him, and while he looked a bit taken aback, Samyuktha remained unfazed. She looked at me with a neutral expression, the chilled face that had earlier vanished. I sat next to her, facing her uncle who nodded back.

"How are you, Rudraksh? Is everything going well?" he asked, sipping his tea and looking more comfortable.

"Everything is well. Any lead on Ruhanika?"

He tensed and then sighed, "None. It has been over two months, and I don't know where she is."

"Don't worry; she'll come around soon," a calm voice replied beside me. I gazed at her, wondering what was happening in her little head.

I couldn't comprehend whether it was for consolation or if she knew something.

"I know, but I just hope she is safe and fine." Her uncle showed his concern, sipping his tea, I redirected my focus to her uncle.

The air feels different, somehow heavy.

"Okay, I shall take my leave, it's working hours anyway," He said while standing and fixing his coat.

"You didn't tell me your purpose of coming here. What business do you have with my wife?"

I voiced out my question. His expression remained the same and a small smile appeared,

"I don't need any reason to meet my godchild but if you insist, ask your wife."

The answer was loud and clear.

He then nodded at us and left the scene.

I turned toward my wife, who was sipping water. Though she was looking straight, her mind was elsewhere.

"Why did he come here? And what is inside that envelope?"

She finally focused her attention on me, still neutral expression, but before she could utter a word, someone interrupted her.

"Rudraksh, great I found you here." Looking at the source, I recognised Advait approaching us with a girl beside him.

Both of us stood up as they approached us, "Hello, Advait bhaiya", Samyuktha greeted warmly.

"Hello Samyuktha, kaisi ho?"

"I'm doing good."

"Good, by the way, is everything alright? You called late last night, and later, when I called, you didn't receive it."

He sounded worried, but the woman beside me, whose neck and ears were turning into a deep shade of crimson, even the girl beside Advait looked embarrassed but maintained her composure quickly, leaving me completely clueless.

What on earth happened that they looked embarrassed?

"No...everything was f..fine, I called mistakenly. My apologies", Samyuktha answered, looking everywhere except for us.

"I'll take my leave, I have some work to finish", With that she practically ran off from the scene.

"See ya" Advait waved her, then turned to the woman and signalled her to wait outside for him.

"Care to explain what happened last night? And why do both of them look so awkward?" I demanded an answer from him.

"Relax, nothing serious. She just happened to call at the wrong time." He explained.
