Scene: Bruce sees you looking at one of his favorite fiction books at the library.

You had homework to be doing, so you went to the library. It offered peace and quiet since everybody these days used cellphones and Google to look things up. But then again, it was a library.

You were surrounded by millions of universes that you could explore by popping one open. You couldn't concentrate on your work when your imagination could be entertained by so much more. After reading the same sentence fifteen times, you groaned and got up.

This is isn't working. I need a small break.

So you walked to the fiction section. Nonfiction was great, but it didn't have dragons or sappy vampire love stories. You popped open your favorite book of all time, (B/T)*. Your small break turned into a longer break, and that break turned into an even longer brake. Before you knew it, you were almost finished with the book. Then, you were tapped on the shoulder. (*B/T = book title)

*Bruce's P.O.V.*

I had been watching her for a while, wait, that sounds creepy. I had walked in the library for some peace and quiet since Tony was being a loud mouth back at the Avengers Tower. I walked in to see the librarian asleep on the desk and I chuckled, which made her snort in her sleep. Then, I saw her.

To be honest, she was one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen. I thought it was adorable how she stuck her tongue out a bit in concentration. And I immediately found it attractive at how much she read in one sitting. I looked to one of the tables to see a bag and some papers and realized they must've been hers.

I sat down across from her seat, hoping she would eventually sit back down and I could figure out a way to strike up a conversation, but she didn't. She stood there for about an hour, reading and reading and reading. She didn't look up once. Once or twice, she would laugh, or make a frown, or even tear up a little.

At one point, she began jumping up and down in a circle, cheering, "Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!" Eventually, I got a glimpse of the cover of the book and realized she was reading one of my favorite fiction books, (B/T).

I quickly, yet hesitantly, walked over to her and patted her on the shoulder. She whipped around, accidentally whacking me in the face with the book. "Ouch." I muttered, holding my nose. She gasped. "I am so sorry." Then she dropped the book on my foot. "Oh my goodness gracious." Then she accidentally head-butted my stomach as she picked it up. "Crappy snickerdoodles." She mumbled.

I do have to admit, she had really weird curse words. "It's okay, but I had to tell you, that is my favorite fictional book of all time." She looked at the cover before she smiled at me. It made butterflies in my stomach go off.

"Really? It's mine too!" She laughed. The butterflies turned into hornets. "Yeah, don't you love how the author writes the climax scenes? You can really tell how much depth they put in the meaning of the main character's adversity." She nodded, grinning even wider. Now, hummingbirds. "Totally! I especially love how much character development the author wove throughout the story. I almost feel like it was directed towards today's generation, like how the character learned to mature through the past mistakes of the many generations before, you know?" We talked for a long time after that, until the librarian woke up and told us it was closing time.

"Well, I'll see you later..." She laughed when she realized she hadn't told me her name. "Oh! It's (Y/N). And your name is..." I grinned. "It's Bruce, Bruce Banner." She gasped. "Wait, the Bruce Banner? The one who made the famous discovery in radiation? Green guy?" She stared at me in awe. I blushed. "Yeah, that's me." She blushed too. "I didn't mean to make you feel bad... about the... green-" I shook my head. "It's fine."

She beamed at me. "Well then, I have to let you know. You are actually my idol." I must've blushed even deeper. "Really?" I asked. She nodded. "You are genius with true inspiration and creativity. Very few scientists still have that today." I grinned back at her. "Thank you." She shook her head while rummaging around in her bag. "No, thank you. The pleasure was all mine, Bruce Banner." She shook my hand and I felt something. "Goodnight. I hope we meet again." Then, she walked off to her car.

I looked down to see a piece of paper from her in my hand.

Green was always one of my favorite colors.

Call me: (Y/N) (Y/L/N)

Then it listed her phone number and a list of books that she recommended that were similar to the one we both loved. And that is how a book made me fall in love with a girl.
