Scene: He makes a bet with you.
"Lady (Y/N), to whom do I owe the honor of this visit?" Thor gave a low bow as you exited the elevator. You blushed. Thor had been a gentleman to you since he first met you, and it was really flattering and all, but it embarrassed you a bit. But of course, you wouldn't tell him that.
"I actually came to see you." You replied. You had recently gotten an apartment in New York, close to the Avengers Tower, so you could get there more easily. "Really? What have you come to see me for, fair maiden?"
There he goes again, with all the Asgardian formalities. If he doesn't stop, I might just faint from the awkward adorableness.
However, Thor didn't notice how it affected you. "Lady (Y/N)?" You shook your head. "Sorry, yes, right. I came to see how you were doing. I heard that things weren't going very well in Asgard and you had stopped in for a bit. So, I thought I would see if you are doing alright."
He shook his head, his smile fading a bit. "Well, the servants in the castle are doubtful and do not agree with their wages. We have tried to come to terms, but what we have to offer simply does not agree with them." You sighed in relief. "Thank goodness." You breathed. Now that, Thor caught on to.
"Why are you thanking goodness? Goodness has no part in this predicament." He was staring at you a bit confusedly. "I just thought it was something bad. You know, like a war or something." He furrowed his eyebrows. "This is terrible, Lady (Y/N). If we cannot find an agreement between the servants and ourselves, they could cause an uprising."
You shrugged. "Couldn't you just, I don't know, make the food and clean yourselves?" He chuckled and shook his head at you like you were a silly child. "You don't understand, fair maiden. Servants have been a part of our culture since the beginning. We cannot simply change our ways and let a misunderstanding change what has been tradition for eons."
You bit your lip as you dropped your gaze from his face. You didn't like it when people condescended you. It made you feel inferior and stupid. Suddenly, the God of Thunder snapped upright, making you jump. "Lady (Y/N), you have given me a marvelous idea!" His hefty voice boomed. "I know how to help the problem. Though it is not your solution, you may have helped. But, I would like to have a- um, a chat, with you."
You widened your eyes up at him. "What?" You asked. He grinned down at you, taking your shoulders in his grasp. "I must leave to Asgard immediately, but when I return, I would like to speak with you personally. Thank you!" He gave you a bone-crushing hug and was off.

About three weeks had passed, and you were practically dying of boredom. Then, you had received knews that Thor had returned. Of course, you went immediately to find him.
"Lady (Y/N)!" You smiled as he shouted your name. "Thor!" You cheered back as he crushed you in an enormous hug. "Did you solve the problem back in Asgard?" You asked as you two separated. He smiled. "Yes, thanks to you! I decided that we give the servants time off, along with bigger wages. They are now at peace and we have no current troubles in Asgard."
You nodded. "That's wonderful, Thor." Bruce Banner cleared his throat from the lab. "Thor, I'm pretty sure you were going to say something to (Y/N). And I actually want to hear what it is."
You nodded. "Oh, yeah! I remember, you wanted to talk to me after you got back." Thor looked puzzled, but then his laugh thundered through the room. "Oh yes! I wanted to make a bet with you." He said. "A bet?" You raised an eyebrow and you saw, for once in your whole existence, Thor was nervous.
"Unless, a lady of your great honor does not partake in such-" You laughed and stopped him. "I would love to take the bet. But first, you have to tell me what it is." You saw relief and color flood his features once again. "Well, you had apparently thought that a war was the worst of my worries when ruling Asgard, correct?" He asked, his eyes gleaming with... giddiness?
