Scene: You stand up to Bucky in a HYDRA attack.
You knew you were going to die. HYDRA agents were wreaking havoc all over the city, and a couple troops were nearing you. You were just a civilian, but your father had taught you how to handle yourself. You had been holding them off pretty well, until you heard more shouts around you.
You turned to see a man walking towards you. He had shaggy, dark hair and was wearing a mask that covered his mouth and nose with black powder wiped over his eyes and the bridge of his nose. You gasped as you saw his arm shining in the sunshine. It was... metal. In all, he was intimidating, but you still stood your ground.
As soon as he saw you and the HYDRA agents on the ground surrounding you, he charged. You took a deep breath and braced yourself. Right as he was about to hit you, you dove to the left and then ran. He hit the wall behind you and then turned to face you. You had made it up the street by the time he chased after you. He was catching up as you realized you weren't going to make it.
Your heart was pounding as your legs screamed and your lungs kept pushing to keep you breathing. You saw a lamp post ahead, and you had an idea. Right as he swung his arms out to grab you, you grabbed onto the street light and swung around. You looked to see him stare at you in amazement. Then, you realized you couldn't run anymore.
He flicked open two knives and walked towards you as he took a swing. You barely dodged, earning a deep cut in the shoulder. You held back a scream as he swung again and cut your outer thigh. You dropped to your knees as the scream threatened to escape.
I will stay strong, until I die.
The last cut left a deep gash in your cheek. An agonized shriek erupted from your mouth. You looked up to see him deliver the final blow. Suddenly, you saw his eyes... soften. He faltered, then dropped the knives completely. Then, he ran away. As he left, you could have sworn you heard him mutter,
"I'm so sorry."
