*Loki's P.O.V.*
(Y/F/N)
I met her when I was punished to serve in Midgard, under the observation and authority of my brother and his "team".
It took a week for me to realize that I didn't dislike her.
It took two to realize that I could tolerate her company.
It took three for me to begin to like her laugh and smile.
It took a month for me to finally notice that I cared for her.
It took me about another five seconds to realize I was not the only one.
•••••
(Y/N) walked into the kitchen, quite literally making the room brighter with her ability to bend light and shadows.
"Heya, Loki. How are you?" She hopped onto a stool by the counter. I could practically feel the wheels in my head beginning to rust and break down.
"Fine, human."
No, no, no! Why do I resort to insulting terms when I'm flustered? I need to recover.
"How are you? Did you sleep well?"
Good. That shows that I care, without seeming overbearing.
"Yeah, (Y/N), how did you sleep? We spent almost half the night together, so I'm sure the rest was just you thinking about me."
The horrid Anthony Stark walked in, casting a dazed wink at (Y/N).
She only laughed, which made my chest squeeze.
"Tony, you and I both know that's not true. You and I were just talking about factoring some of your new weapons into our battle strategies. If anything went further than that, it was purely in your head."
I quietly sighed in relief.
Stark, on the other hand, took it in stride.
"Then you were certainly with Cap, down in the training room. Probably sparring, if you know what I mean..."
He winked yet again, and I would have loved to hit him in the face with my scepter.
"We were down in the training room, and we were boxing. And again, the most romantic thing about that was when I had to hold the bag for him."
"Fine, fine, I give up. But, you do know that Pietro has a thing for you, right?"
Even a small child could have noticed how (Y/N) missed a beat, sitting up a fraction of a bit straighter.
"Herm, no. No, I didn't know that."
Tony chuckled as he poured some milk in a glass.
"Well, he's got it bad. You should see the way he goggles at you when you're training. Or when he talks about your butt."
My face was becoming the color of Tony or Pietro's upcoming blood on the floor.
"Yeah, he just adores you. I think you're his screen saver too."
Tony took a sip of milk after his last word as (Y/N)'s gaze nervously flitted between the two of us.
Tony sighed gustily as he set down his cup.
"Yep, I wouldn't be surprised if Pietro asks you out in the next week."
And, speaking of the Devil, Pietro decided to walk in at that precise moment.
"Oh, hello, (Y/..."
He saw my angered expression and quickly walked back out.
I'd had enough. I quickly got up from my seat and fled the room. (Y/N) was probably flattered by Pietro's apparent affections, and would be opposed to a "villain" like me.
"Loki! Wait!"
Before I knew it, the hall in front of me turned pitch black as a shadow settled. I didn't stop in time and was "decked" by a low-hanging ceiling light.
When I looked up, (Y/N) was staring down at me, light cascading her features. She looked like an angel.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know how else to get you to stop." She blushed.
My heart was beating quickly as I stared up at her beauty.
If only she would be mine...
"Loki, did hear what I just said?"
"What?"
"I said, would you like to go to a movie with me? I didn't want to go alone, since it's a horror movie, and I know you've been wanting to get out of the tower for a while-"
I cut her off by pressing my lips to hers. I was filled with a brightness that flooded my being.
"Yes, (Y/N), I would love to."
Her smile made me realize that, maybe, just maybe, I would enjoy my time in Midgard.
And I would vanquish Anthony Stark and Pietro Maximoff later. Especially Pietro.

A/N: Hey guys! I hope you liked it! I know it's kinda short, but my creativity tree is being chipped at by silly life woodpeckers. (That metaphor was terrible, I know.)
Aaanyway, you guys are awesome. I want to let you know how incredibly lovely you all are. I truly do appreciate you guys, and I'll (hopefully) always be here.
Again, thank you so much, and keep on rocking!
So long, my beauts!
