Silence and sorrow enveloped you for what felt like hours. Your heart seemed to stop and time seemed to slow, as if in memory of the most brilliant and wonderful person you had ever loved.

Your tears dripped onto his eyes as Clint, Steve, and Natasha all watched from a distance.
"Who are you calling a moron?" He asked, grinning. You hugged him tightly in relief. "How- how did you- You know what, I don't care." You kissed him on the lips, pushing all of your emotion into it. "I love you." He whispered as you broke for air.
"I love you more." You whispered back. He pulled something out of his pocket and opened it. "I love you most." He grinned. He pulled off a note for you to see a gorgeous ring. He laughed as he slipped it on your finger.
"It would make me the happiest man on earth if you would be my wife." You nodded as he looked up at you. "Y- Yes. I mean, yes!" He kissed you again as you both clutched on to each other.
"What was the note about?" You asked as you lifted him up for the paramedics. "Oh, nothing." You joined him in the ambulance, thanking the heavens above that he was alive.

"And this, kids, is the statue of the Avengers team. They still save the world today." You could hear the little boys and girls "ooh" and "ahh" at the golden sculpture.
You were the reason it was there. Well, you and Pepper. You both decided that if anything happened, you wanted the Avengers to be remembered. So you and her worked on a museum for their efforts. Tony helped pay for it.
You sighed as you laid your head on your husband's shoulder. "Are we going to do it?" He asked as he rubbed your shoulder. You nodded as you both got up and put your individual roses on the base of the statue.
You and Bruce had decided to take a break from the action, so you bought a house in Ohio in a small town, away from large cities. You both smiled as you saw a little girl talking to Bruce on the statue.
Boy, was her smile huge when she saw the real one. You could see her two front teeth were missing. "Is your name Amy?" She nodded frantically. "I think this is yours." You handed her a raggedy man doll with her name written in marker on the bottom.
She smiled even wider. "Thank you! Thank you so much!" Her teacher called her back. You and Bruce held hands as you walked back to your car. Then, a light rain began and Bruce, being the goof he is, began to dance with you in the puddles.
After all, he really did love the rain.
