“Alaric, where did the duke go to?” And I was screwed.
“I didn’t see him in which way he went, moonlight.” She just nodded, yet I understood something new about her. Her facial expressions, I had never seen that one before.
“But he mentioned someone with the name “Layla”, then he just disappeared into thin air.” Her eyes shone like gold when I mentioned that name.
Eleanor’s POV:
As I stroked with the lightning, I saw Alaric and went straight to him.
“Alaric, where did the duke go to?” I saw him gulping before he answered me.
“I didn’t see him in which way he went, moonlight.” Oh, did I fail to protect him?
“But he mentioned someone with the name “Layla”, then he just disappeared into thin air.” That’s my mother’s name, does it mean she is still alive, but how could it be. I looked around and looked at Alaric again, he had caught me in his hands as he was running through the direction of the forest.
“Alaric?”
“Yes, moonlight.” He answered right after as he was running towards somewhere.
“Do you realize that we are enemies?” The last word stung my heart in a thousand places.
“It doesn’t matter, moonlight, as long as it is you that I know, even if you intend to kill me, simply because you can use me, go ahead, I do not care, therefore, just let me love you as my moonlight, and as my Empress.” I could feel my cheeks growing hot.
“What if I kill the emperor?” Will he think that I’m a monster that only goes after blood?
“There will be no one stopping you, moonlight, even I will be standing beside you, just do what you want to do.” As he finished his stances, he stopped, but where he had stopped, shocked me.
It was a piece of garden in which it looked like a place my mother would love a lot, as I set foot in the garden something started to shine. It looked like it was a small box, it had been shining for a very long time now. As I took it the light started to lower down a bit, but I couldn’t open it.
“Alaric, can you land me your small knifes, please?” I said as I tried to look where it was, keeping it closed. Alaric handed me the knife and I tried to open it, when something clicked, I knew it was about to open, but I never knew what was happening around us. They had surrounded us once again, where are they coming from? Seriously they are starting to get on my nerves.
Alaric was dealing with them; this time Alfie and Tatiana were here too. I opened the box, and it was an old ancient ring. The glowing gem has been carefully set in a beautiful ring, with intricate patterns and carvings of ancient symbols inlaid with precision. The metal band and its delicate, interweaving patterns are a work of art, although they seem to fade into obscurity when set against the light of the glowing gem. As I held this ring, I noticed that the patterns seem to flow and move, as if alive with power, and the runes and ancient scripts appear to dance in a flowing melody. This is a marvelous artifact, exuding magic and beauty.
I tried it on, and it felt so many things going through me. It sent my soul somewhere else.I saw a stone in the middle, it looked like it was pulsating, like a heart, but shaped differently. As I approached the heart, I felt a mysterious power within it, like a connection to my own soul. It was as if it was calling out to me from a distant past, beckoning me to come forward. The heart seemed to pulse with its own will, and felt oddly familiar, like a piece of myself that I had lost long ago.
