“I see, such a shame, around here the ones coming in this palace need to kneel,” I said as I passed him looking through the window down, the people were busy working as much as they could.
“You... I see that you are arrogant as well, you should know your place.” He said as he approached me and put his hand on my shoulder.
“I’ll give you five seconds to remove your hand, Torger.” My commanding voice rang through the room.
“Or what will you do?” I smirked, he thought he would have a chance.
“Tell your real emperor to come here, instead of sending another useless thing,” I said as his arm snapped and he screamed in pain.
“Or else, I will take this as his threat to another emperor,” I said and left the room, Kinra entered after I left.
As I sat in my office a bird kept banging its wings on the window, I got up and looked at what it was about, it had a letter attached to its feet. I took the letter, and the handwriting wasn’t ours, nor Alaric's.
It wrote:
“Hello Empress of Cliodhna, I’m sorry I was so rude towards you, it was my mistake to send another minion of mine, I took him thank you for delivering him, and I want to make it up to you, for being so rude, I would like to come tomorrow night for dinner, I might be late since I need to take care of an urgent matter for now, yet again I feel embarrassed for what I did today. I am Torger Fogell, and tomorrow we shall meet just the two of us, for dinner, allow me to sincerely apologize again. We shall meet tomorrow night.”
This note was strange as it was, and I wouldn’t let him off so easily, he might think I am stupid, but it won’t work for him so easily.
I continued my work at the office. I was way too tired tonight, but I managed to completely complete the files.
I got up and went to my room, I dressed and took my mask. I went into the town and people kept staring at me, I kept my powers low so they couldn’t feel it. I went along the busy way and looked at what it was like at night. It was lively, full of love, and full of fun. I continued to wander around, I wanted to know if they were good people.
Someone bumped into me, it didn’t hurt but he tried to steal from me.
“Careful there, I wouldn’t want the empress to find out what you are doing,” I said as I took all the stolen things from him, his face was full of fear.
“G-give them back.” He started to tremble.
“Relax, I won’t do anything to you, I just want to know why you stole this?” His face was angry, and yet I didn’t care.
“B-because I need it.”
“If you need it then ask the empress to help you.” He pushed me.
