Lisa always liked Director Mark's crew because, except for night scenes, they usually finished work at 7 PM sharp—yesterday was an exception with overtime.

Today's shoot went very smoothly; Lisa finished work at 7 PM as scheduled. After work, she went directly to the airport accompanied by her assistant to catch a flight.

Jungkook had to work until almost 9 PM today. As the project acceptance deadline approached, the laboratory became busier. After Lisa went out of town for filming, Jungkook moved back to the hotel, which was closer to the company, saving a lot of time on the commute.

The hotel recently didn't have many people camping out, but Jungkook still wore a mask when coming and going— Lisa had left him two big packs before leaving.

After returning to his room, Jungkook took a shower and then sat at the desk with a cup of coffee to continue working. After an unknown amount of time, his phone vibrated on the table. Jungkook glanced at it; it was a video call from his mom.

"Hello, Mom, what's up?" Jungkook answered the video call and his mom's face appeared on the other end of the camera. Mother Jeon smiled and called out to him, looking at the screen, "You're still working so late?"

"Yes, I've been busy lately."

"I heard from Professor Kang that your navigation robot is already in the final testing phase..." Mother Jeon was interrupted by Father Jeon's voice.

"Why did you mention work again after just saying a couple of words? You workaholic!" Father Jeon's face also appeared in the camera frame, "Jungkook, we called you today, not to talk about work."

"Right, right," Mother Jeon echoed, looking at Jungkook through the camera, "Tomorrow is your birthday, isn't it? It's almost midnight, so we decided to call and wish you a happy birthday in advance."

Hearing the birthday wishes so late at night, Jungkook didn't show much reaction on his face, "Thank you, but I'm not a kid anymore, and I don't celebrate my birthday anymore."

"But you used to love celebrating your birthday before. You even pestered me and your mom to buy you birthday cakes!" Father Jeon teased him from the other side.

Jungkook looked at him and asked, "And how long ago was this 'before'?"

"..." Father Jeon hesitated for a moment, "About twenty years ago."

"Hmm," Jungkook coldly snorted, "Thanks for calling, but it's already late. You should go to bed early."

Jungkook had an attitude of "adults don't need to celebrate birthdays", and his mom laughed, saying, "Alright, you're so aloof; you don't want to celebrate your birthday. But your dad and I still prepared a birthday gift for you. We sent it to you; you should receive it tomorrow."

"Alright."

Jungkook nodded when his dad started gossiping, "By the way, when are you and Baozhu planning to register your marriage? We already discussed the wedding for both of you before. Since both you and Lisa are busy in the second half of the year, the wedding is temporarily scheduled for next year. However, parents from both sides agree that you can get your marriage certificate first."

"We haven't decided yet..." Jungkook hadn't finished when he was interrupted.

"Why aren't you in a hurry?!" Father Jeon couldn't help but worry as he saw his son's expression, "Let me tell you, don't think that your relationship with Lisa is set in stone. She's such a talented and beautiful girl, and she's in the entertainment industry, working with handsome actors. That Jun something, Min Jun, right? She's filming with him, isn't she? You should be careful!"
