Part 15: A Most Desperate Battle

Optimus now realizes that what he has done was a massive mistake. Ironhide doesn't seem so surprised.

Jazz: "Called it."

Ironhide: "You said nothing earlier."

Jazz: "In my mind."

Ironhide: "That doesn't count."

Jazz: "Yes it does."

Elita: "You seem troubled Optimus, what is it?"

Prime: "I have made a grave error in coming here."

Flare: "Oh great, he's going to leave us."

Smoke: "But you just got here, and you don't even know my favorite colors are. Mine are blue, red, and white!"

Fire: "Mine too!"

Prime: "My very presence is a danger to you all. I need to leave."

Elita: "Not with out me and the others. I lost you once already and I'm not going to lose you again."

Prime: "The more of us there are the easier it will be to be spotted."

Elita: (gruff) "We've been taking care of ourselves for quite some time you know."

Prime: 'I didn't mean it like that, I apologize."

Elita: "I know what you meant. You forget that I'm not the same helpless damsel I was before.... the accident.."

Prime: "The accident changed all of us."

Elita: "And now I'm a master spy."

Fire: "And we're small!"

Moon: "Yeah.... that's not something you want to proudly flaunt, sis."

Flare: -sigh- "I'd do anything for love."

Chromia: "I'm good at hiding too you know!"

Smoke: (excited) "And I can walk through walls. I'm a sorcerer!"

Jazz: "I love this guy."

Elita: "Come, we must hurry. We can talk more along the way."

Everyone transforms and leave the base together. They are packed tightly together in order to hide themselves better.

Elita: "I'm sorry that we had had to reunite under such circumstances."

Prime: "I do not regret seeing you again. Though I do wish I had used my head in this situation."

Elita: "You mustn't blame yourself for this. If roles were reversed I would have done the same thing."

Prime: "So is this all of your team?"

Elita: "No, there are several teams scattered around Cybertron. Though there is another member of my unit is is scouting for new locations."

Prime: "Who is it?"

Elita: "Well there is only one other big named female outside of me and Chromia."

Prime: "Now I know, it suits her well."

Jazz: "Are we there yet?"

Chromia: "No, now shut up."

Ironhide: "Primus I've missed you."

Moon: "Be nice to my man!"

Smoke: "I'm glad I don't have issues."

Fire: -sigh- "Me neither."

Prime: "So tell me a bit more about Smokescreen. There is something unique about him."

Elita: "Your instincts are correct. He is the last naturally born Cybertronian."

Prime: "Then that means....incredible."

Elita: "This makes his survival of the utmost importance."

Smoke: '"Are you guys talking about me up there? I hope it's all good things."

Elita: "Of course dear."

Optimus collects his thoughts together, but does so a little mistimed. He sees a shadow fly over everyone, and he swerves in front of Elita.

Prime: "We're under attack!"

The shadow fires some missiles at the group, and everyone scatters and transforms. It's Shockblast, and he's not alone. Shockwave and Knockout come driving up with a large number of Vehicons. Knockout eyes Optimus and whistles a very familiar phrase.

Knockout: "Sweet riiiiims. 24 gauge? You're reaaaal heavy duty. Reminds me of my partner."

Prime: "Shockwave."

Shockwave: "I'd like to play a game Optimus, and it's called surrender. You either surrender, or we force you to come along."

Knockout: "And I think you know which one he prefers."

Shock: "Escape is futile."

Elita: "We will never surrender to the likes of you!"

Shockwave: "Very well, then we will do it by force."

Elita: "Autobots, attack!"

A battle erupts with everyone shooting at each other. Chromia aims a shot right a Knockout's head, but he ducks, screaming as he runs for cover. Smokescreen shoots and kills a few Vehicons, and Flare-up takes out flamethrowers to scorch a few Vehicons. Optimus and Shockwave trade shots, and Optimus leaps over Shockwave's shots and shoots him in the chest, knocking him down. Elita takes out a sword and slices up several Vehicons in blinding speed. She engages Shockblast in a duel. She didn't anticipate that he would have a hidden sword stored within his arm. he takes it out and nearly cleaves her in two, but Elita blocks it. She overpowers Shockblast and kicks her leg up right into his face. She jumps up and starts kicking him repeatedly in the face. Her kicks are like someone running up stairs in a craze. He eventually knocks Shockblast out for the time being. The three bike sisters are bashing and stabbing their way through several Vehcon hordes. Beta knocks them over with her cannon seat arm, and Moonracer has an electric arm dagger that pierces a Vehicon's face.

Meanwhile Shockwave gets up and tackles Optimus, pinning him to a wall. Knockout returns with his staff out, and it fires a few laser blasts at the bike sisters. One shot hits Beta in her cannon arm. Jazz shoots him up with a few crescent missiles to knock him down, ruining his paintjob.

Knockout: "My finish!"

Ironhide slides and shoots of some of the remaining Vehicons and leaps on Shockwave's back to help his header. Optimus kicks Shockwave back while Ironhide still has his arms around Shockwaves neck. Shockwave grabs hold of Ironhide and slams him on the ground. Jazz steps in and starts shooting him in the back, and Shockwave shoots back at him to stop him. The bike sisters see this and decide to take action.

Moon: "I think it's time to combine."

Fire: "On it!"

The three bikes combine into a medium-sized robot named Lancer, and it comes ready to battle with several cannons and giant wheel-shaped blades. Lancer fires one into Shockwave's back, allowing Optimus and the others to lay on the attack. Shockwave kicks Jazz down and throws Ironhide into Elita-1. Shockblast gets shot up by Chromia, temporarily disabling him. Knockout shoots her in the chest with the laser from his staff, and then gets cornered by flare-up. Knockout desperately shoots at her, but she jumps up and kicks her heel right into Knockout's face, fittingly knocking him out. Optimus finishes the remaining Vehicons while the rest of the teams focuses on Shockwave and Shockblast. Chromia and Smokescreen are beating the tar out of Shockblast, who can't even get a shot in. Lancer jumps up and grinds her wheel on Shockwave's head, and he finally catches her and throws her into a wall. He shoots Elita and slams Ironhide on top of Jazz. optimus jumps off the wall to make a falling punch to Shockwave. Shockwave responds by Punching Optimus in the face and tries to do a left hook, but Optimus ducks and uppercuts the cyclops. Optimus picks up Shockwave and throws him right on top of Shockblast.

Shockwave: "This is not working out as expected, summon the Driller."

Back on Earth the Autobots are moments away from their most desperate battle to date. All of the Dinobots except Sludge transform into their dinosaur forms. Megatron has already begun to claim victory.

Megatron: "The end is near Autobots. This battle was over before it started.We have you surrounded."

Wheel: "Oh really? You and what army?"

Two hundred Vehicons appear out of a groundbridge and make a wall in front of Megatron.

Mirage: "We need to have a serious conversation about your gambling problems Wheeljack."

Megatron: "I want to speak to whomever is in charge in Optimus's absence."

Mirage: "I am."

Megatron: "Ah mirage, a worthy candidate."

Tomahawk: "Wait, how did he know about Optimus leaving?"

Megatron: "We set the whole fake message up. By now your leader should be in Shockwave's custody."

Perce: "Oh dear."

Megatron: "Now then Mirage, I'd like to make you a deal."

Break: "This can't be good."

Mirage: "I'm listening."

Megatron: "If you all surrender then nobody will die."

Thunder: "Seriously? What a rip-off!"

Astro: "I know right?"

Mirage: "Forgive me for doubting your word Megatron. You have always used trickery as a weapon."

Megatron: "You know me all too well."

Mirage: "We can't let you win. I must stop you even if I'm the last man standing."

Megatron: "Honorable until the very end. You've earned my respect. However this will be your downfall. Decepticons, attack!"

Ramjet: "Finally!"

Crank: "Crush them all!"

Overload: "Overload has zero patience for styrofoam."

Jolt: "It looks like we're doing this."

Leadfoot: "Let's throwdown."

All of the Autobots and Decepticons erupt into a massive battle. Mirage makes the first shot with his sniper rifle that shoots a Vehicon in the head. Jetfire puts on his goggles and fire out his flamethrowers which produce blue fire to completely incinerate any Vehicon in his way. Jolt fights anything that comes his way with his electric whips, and all the Dinobots except for Sludge barge through several Vehicons. Megatron instructs Ravage for a very special mission.

Megatron: "You know what you must do Ravage, go!"

Ravage cloaks himself and runs straight toward The Ark. Meanwhile Splicer, Buzzsaw Waspinator, and the twins are the first wave of Decepticons the other Autobots have to face. Splicer immediately engages Mirage in a rematch while Buzzsaw takes on Fireflight and Silverbolt. Poor Waspinator is tasked with facing the four Dinobots, and he gets impaled on Slag's horns for his troubles. Bumblebee and Sideswipe climb on top of Tomahawk, who has transformed into his helicopter mode and start shooting up everyone on the ground level. The manage to shoot Scavenger and Astrotrain down. They seem to be doing a good job until somebody snipes both of them off of Tomahawk. It's none other than Sideways. Scrapper takes a shot of his vulcan cannon to shoot Tomahawk out of the sky. Overload and Sludge's eyes meet, and they know what they must do.

Mix: "What are you doing Overload?"

Overload: "What he should have done a long time ago."

Overload and Sludge meet in the center of the madness... and then Overload takes out a giant chess set for them to play.

Overload: "It's your move."

Sludge: "Me Sludge three time quack champion."

Overload: "We shall see."

Sludge: "Do you have any pawns?"

Overload: "Go el fish."

Sludge: "Liar!"

Sludge throws the rook at Overload, and the two actually fight. Sludge tackles Overload, and Overload grabs him with all of his legs with they roll around the floor. Eventually Overload knocks Sludge of him. Sludge hits Overload in the head with his hammer, disorienting him briefly until he recovers.

Overload: (bragging) "That didn't even hurt Overload's feelings!"

Sludge grabs the chessboard and breaks it on Overload's head.

Overload: "Now you hurt Overload's feelings."

For Sludges insubordination he gets blasted by Overload's Encephalo ray. During all of this Mirage and Splicer's rematch has made its way atop the roof of the Ark. The two have been rather even this time, and they decide to take a quick break for some banter.

"Way to go dude, you got way better since last time!"

"I have trained every day since our encounter in London."

"Same here, I haven't had a challenge like this since... ever!"

"I should have figured you would train as well."

"What can I say? We're both warriors at heart. It's in our blood."

"I Suppose you're right, but I underestimated you last time. I won't do that again."

"Glad to hear it."

"Still going to try to kill me?"

"Nope, I like you too much, plus those aren't my orders."

The two clash blades once again. They counter and parry each motion until Mirage dicks and uppercuts Splicer. He does a jumping kick to knock him back, and then he picks him up and throws him near the edge. Splicer recovers and does a swift kick to knock Mirage down. Mirage tries to do a spin attack, but Splicer blocks each attack, and counters with a cut to Mirage's leg. They both shoot their machine guns at each other, and amazing each of their bullets hits the other's bullets. This continues until Mirage shoots Splicer off the edge. Mirage peers over, and as Splicer is falling time slows down. Splicer takes out his triple sniper rifle and fires his bullets right into Mirage's chest, knocking him out. Splicer falls to the ground damaged and going unconscious,

"My first tie....awesome." (unconscious)

Sideswipe wakes up and runs afoul of Ramjet, who seems all too happy to see him.

Ramjet: "Hey buddy, want to see my Beasthunters?"

Side: ".... Sure."

Ramjet headbutts Sideswipe, knocking him on his back.

Side: "That wasn't your Beasthunters at all!"

Ramjet: "Life is full of disappointments!"

Ramjet is about to fire a missile at the defenseless Sideswipe, but someone strikes Ramjet in the back and forces him to retreat. It was Jolt.

Jolt: "I figured you needed a hand, or should I say whip."

Side: "Thanks, you really saved me."

Jolt: "It's not over yet, we need to keep going.

The Dreads are tearing up the human soldiers with their superior weaponry. Hatchet is just mauling them like a lion and Crowbar crushes them to death with his dreadlocks. Crankcase shoots them up until he sees what he's been looking for all these years: Bumblebee. Thier eyes meet, and Crankcase's primal instincts take over as he grabs Bumblebee by the shoulder and jumps over him, throwing Bumblebee with him He has the Autobot pinned down and seemingly at his mercy.

Crank: -snarls- "You escaped me once before, and won't escape me again!"

Bee: "Sorry to leave you disappointed pal!"

Bumblebee starts kicking Crankcase in the stomach to knock him off, and punches the monster right in the face and cuts him across the chest with his ax. Crankcase did not anticipate the young warrior's skills to improve so much since the last time they met.

Bee: "You can see that I've gotten much better since last time!"

Bumblebee tries to make the finishing blow on Crankcase, but he stops the ax with his hands.

Crank: "You may have gotten better, but you will will always be my prey!"

Crankcase unleashes his full fury on Bumblebee, beating him nearly to death, but someone interrupts him, it's Roadbuster, who kicks him right in the face.

Road: "Get off of him you ugly bastard!"

Crank: -spits- "Wrecker filth! I am a member of the Shadow Core, you stand no chance."

Road: "Pfft, you got a better chance of winning the lottery than beating me!"

Now it's a full on Wreckers versus Dreads. Roadbuster cuts Crankcase with his chainsaw, and Crankcase responds by cutting him with his grabbing claw hidden inside his gun. Leadfoot takes on Hatchet and bashes him in the face with his mace. Hatchet whips him with his tail and mauls him. Leadfoot is now in his jaws, but he keeps smashing his fists on the beast until he lets go. He grabs hold of his tail and gets drug along the floor as Hatchet runs. Leadfoot starts pulling up on the tail and eventually hops on top of Hatchet, riding him like a cowboy on a rodeo. Meanwhile Topspin and Crowbar face off, and Topspin is completely thrashing Crowbar by using his tractor beams to pull on Crowbar's dreadlocks, smashing him around the floor wherever he chooses.

Crowbar: "Hey watch the hair!"

Topspin: "No way!"

Tailgate is fighting Rumble and Frenzy, and his paintbrush functions as a laser and a lightsaber weapon. His paint board also doubles as a shield. He paints on Rumbles face, putting a pustache on his face. m
Rumble: "I don't like that!"

The both point their guns Tailgate, and he waves around a small white flag.

Tailgate: "I surrender!"

Frenzy: "Well that was easy."

The twin's victory is short-lived as Snarl runs into them, scaring them off. He transforms and helps Tailgate to his feet.

Snarl: "Did you seriously just surrender?"

Tailgate: "It was instincts I swear."

Snarl hears a strange noise coming for him.

Snarl: "Do you hear... a train?"

Out of the blue Astrotrain runs over Snarl in his train form and then transforms into his space shuttle form. Sludge watches him fly away and reaches out.

Sludge: "Wait space choo-choo, me Sludge love you!"

Swoop has decided to be brave and attack Megatron directly.

Swoop: "Oh yeah this is going to be so awesome!"

Swoop flies at Soundwave, but Soundwave activated a groundbridge in front of him, and Swoop flies into the Decepticon's base. He then gets captured in a special containment cell overseen by Skywarp.

Skywarp: "One down."

Soundwave sees Blaster shooting at Laserbeak, and actually decides to intervene by splitting on into the metal spheres and appearing behind Blaster. Blaster turns around to see Soundwave staring him down.

Blaster: "Soundwave?"

Soundwave unleashes a tentacle that sticks to his chest and electrocutes him, knocking him unconscious. He then bridges Blaster in a containment cell, dwindling the Autobot's numbers. Perceptor manages to shoot Thundercracker right in the chest.

Thunder: "Right in the tit! You'll pay for that, nerd!"

Thundercracker takes out his missile cluster, and Perceptor in a panic shoots one of the missiles before Thundercracker fires it. All the missiles explode and Thundercracker's left side is severely damaged. He has to be bridged back due to the severity of his injuries, but it's too bad for him that Skywarp and Oil Slick have no intention of helping him. Skydive and Stratosphere have been working together flawlessly in taking down Vehicons. Skydive's freeze ray stops them right in their tracks, and it also has an icicle feature that blasts out sharp shards of ice that he fires into their chests. The shards pierce their sparks and kills them instantly. Stratosphere, tri beam gun overheats their weapons while his bouncing grenades make short work of them. The last Vehicon gets thrown down by Stratosphere, and he punches it straight through the head. The two give a thumbs up until Ratbat attacks them both. Slugfest and Snarl dual and they both transform and get into a scythe vs ax fight. During all of this Grimlock faces off against Overkill.

Overkill: "I do not fear you monster."

Grimlock: "Me Grimlock hoping you would say that."

Grimlock cleaves down on Overkill, but he dodges in startling speed. Overkill become his dinosaur form and jumps on Grimlock's back, sinking his claws inside of the Dinobot. While they fight it cuts over to Silverbolt fighting Dirge. Dirge has been trying to slash him with a custom arm blade made from parts of his jet form.

Dirge: "Do you feel fear Autobot? It is what powers me."

Silver: "Not really, sorry."

Dirge: "What? You lie! And where the devil is Thrust?"

Silver: "Look you're just not that scary. I find flying scarier."

Dirge: "You shall pay for this insult!"

Dirge madly swings at Silverbolt, but Silverbolt leaps back and shoots him with his Orbital Pistol.

Dirge: "What is this trinket that you have dared to dent upon my magnificent armor?"

Silver: "Orbital Pistol. It weakens your armour and marks you on everyone's radar."

Dirge: "And you've marked for the last time, for I will-"

Some sling-like weapons wraps itself around Dirge and electrocutes him. Dirge manages to break free before he gets killed from it and flies away. The perpetrator was Slingshot.

Silver: "Wow that was timed perfectly. Thanks for that Slingshot."

Sling: "Try and keep up will ya?"

Silver: 'I'll certainly try."

Fireflight and Buzzsaw have been in a very intense dual. The charismatic Autobot is only barely able to block Buzzsaws stabs with his tail. The swords that Fireflight makes transform into clamps to grab Buzzsaw by the wing and throw him into the sky, and that greatly angers him.

Buzzsaw: "I WILL TEAR YOU APART FOR THAT!"

Fire: "That's not on my to-do list baby."

Fireflight fires a disk that hits Buzzsaw in the chest to temporarily disable him. Beastbox and Squawktalk combine into Squawkbox. Slag charges at Squawkbox, and he grabs Slag by the horns and pulls him down. During all of this Ratchet had dragged Bumblebee back inside The Ark to do some repairs to him. He is successfully returning him to his full glory until he sees a strange pile of boxes that seems to be hiding something. Ratchet pokes one of the boxes, and they all fall over to reveal Thrust hiding behind them. He screams in terror and runs out of The Ark in a panic. As Ratchet finishes and takes Bumblebee outside with him Mixmaster makes way for an attack.

Mix: "Move over everyone because the Mixmaster is taking aim!"

Mixmaster transforms into his battle mode and takes a shot at Ratchet that hits him directly in the chest. Soundwave captures the medic as well.

Scavenge: "Nice shot sir!"

Mix: "Thank you Scavenger my boy. The job isn't finished yet."

Overload defeats Snarl and he gets taken away. Meanwhile Airraid has been finishing off the remaining Vehicons with his mace hand and his sheild. Little did he know is that Hightower drives up behind him and uses his wrecking ball to hit him in the back, which launches him into Breakaway. Grimlock finally shakes Overkill off of his back, and grabs him. He punts him high in the sky, landing him on top of Slugfest to defeat them both. Bumblebee looks around to see the carnage in front of him and gets attacked by Sideways. It seems that this time the herald is not playing around.

Sideways: "I've got a score to settle with you Bumblebee."

Bee: "You sure look different Sideways."

Sideways: "After what you did to me last time I needed a makeover. Now I'm going to return the favor!"

Sideways takes out dual chainsaws and cuts Bumblebee across his left arm and pins him down. His chainsaws edge closer to Bumblebee's face, and actually starts cutting him. Someone grabs Sideways from behind and pulls him off Bumblebee. It's Sideswipe.

Sideways: "Back for round two Sideswipe?"

Side: "Yes, and this time you're finished."

Sideways: "I predict a much darker result for you."

The three engage in their most heated battle yet. Sideways shoots out a mine that explodes and slows down the two Autobots. Sideways unleashes a flail that he swings into Sideswipes head and then trips Bumblebee up with it. He tries to smash Bumblebee, but slow effects from the mine wear off and he rolls out of the way. Sideswipe stabs his blade through Sideway's shoulder, and Sideways grabs the blade with his hand and sends a current of electricity to electrocute Sideswipe. Bumblebee leaps to attack, but Sideways grabs his face and electrocutes him as well. Bumblebee breaks free and shoots him with his missiles an Sideswipe shoots him with his mines. Sideways fires a flare that temporarily blinds the Autobots as he tries to make his escape, but the two manage to stop him and start gaining the upper hand. Sideways desperately shoots Bumblebee in the chest with his sniper rifle to knock him back, but Sideswipe does a spinning kick to Sideway's face. The scene is now beginning to looks like what it was in Enslavement, but just like that scene a familiar dump truck intervenes.

Longhaul: "Does this scene look familiar to you?"

Longhaul fires his grenades, hitting them both. He picks up Sideways and starts healing him.

Sideways: "Let's not make this whole near-death thing a habit."

Longhaul: "Agreed."

Side: "This time we came prepared!"

Sideswipe shoots his mines into Longhaul's face to distract him and Bumblebee fire missiles into him. Sideways sees his friend in danger and wrings his arm around Sideswipes neck. He beats on Sideswipe's face mercilessly, and the Autobot is completely defenseless. Sideways looks up to see Bumblebee laying the hurt on Longhaul. It seems that his training hadn't prepared him for this. Sideways decides to choose friendship over a grudge match and knocks Sideswipe out to leave him to be captured by Soundwave. Sideways shoots Bumblebee in the leg to force him to retreat from Longhaul. Mirage regains consciousness just to witness slingshot getting whipped in the back by Rampage.

Silver: "We're getting dropped like flies here!"

Mirage: "Then let's not lose any more! Combine into Superion!"

Silver: You got it. Aerialbots, combine!"

The Aerialbots finally combine into their form Superion. Skydive and Stratosphere become the left and right legs, Slingshot forms the crotch, Jetfire becomes the chest and part of the back, Breakaway becomes the other part of the back, Fireflight becomes the left arm, Airraid becomes the right arm, and Silverbolt finishes by becoming the head. The mighty Superion makes his way to Megatron and Soundwave, who for the first time seem intimidated.

Megatron: "Constructicons, combine into Devastator!"

Mix: "You heard him gents, let's show Superion who the cooler combiner is!"

The Constructicons form Devastator, and the biggest battle has finally started. The two giants lock hands and struggle, but due to Superions superior technology, he easily overpowers Devastator and uppercuts him, knocking him down near Megatron and Soundwave. The Dreads and Astrotrain bridge back to the base out of fear towards Superion, and the jolt from the fall finally wakes Splicer back up. All of Soundwave's minions except for Buzzsaw, the M.I.A Ravage, and the twins return.

Superion: "You're finished Devastator!"

Devastator just roars at him in response and the two go at it. Mirage sees Wheeljack fighting the Skywarp clone and stabs it in the eye to make it retreat.

Mirage: "Is he finally ready for use Wheeljack?"

Wheel: "Yes he's been repaired."

Mirage: "Then get him to transform!"

Wheel: "On it!"

Mirage: "Superion, buy Wheeljack some time!"

Superion: "You got it."

The combiner battle heats up as they both fire rockets at each other and they manage to neutralize both of their opponent's rockets. Superion knees Devastator in the chest and knocks him down. He tries to beat on his face but Devastator uses his hand to grab Superion by the mouth to yank him down. Devastator stabs Superion in the right arm with Hightower's hooks. Superion breaks free and picks up Devastator, throwing him. The monster struggles to get up, and activates his vortex grinder. The suction immediately takes in a few human soldiers and other random parts inside. The power is so great that not even the mighty Superion can resist. He slowly gets pulled toward the abomination, and right before Devastator strikes Superion smashes his fist down on his head. He then punches him with a left and right hook to the face. Devastator uses the momentum of the last punch to slam his fists down on Superion's shoulders, bringing him to his knees. Devastator embeds his claws in Superion's chest and picks him up, slamming him on the ground. The two roll around the floor violently and everyone is running away trying not to get squished. Wheeljack finally finishes up the coding to the Wrecker's mysterious ship.

Wheel: "He's ready, stand back and watch the magic!"

You see there was more to the Wrecker's ship than meets the eye. It actually is a Cybertronian giant who sided with the Autobots, and it's not just any giant. All the booster and thrustors shift around as it starts to form massive arms and legs. A head with a visor pops out as another giant robot taller than Superion comes to join the fray. The voice of Kevin Michael Richardson booms out of the giant.

?: "Omega Supreme ready for action!"
