Part 43: Starscream vs Airraid

On the Eradicon's mothership Brawl looks out the window to see several unidentified objects flying their way.

Brawl: "It must be the girl scouts."

Drag: "I don't think the girl scouts look like that."

The "girl scouts" are actually the other Aerialbots. They fire a barrage of missiles into the ship, and it starts to slowly crash. The Aerialbots figure they did a decent enough job and fly off, leaving a few of the Eradicons in panic.

Brawl: "Those were some explosive cookies."

Drag: "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!"

Dead: "Snap out of it you idiot."

Vortex: "We need to get out of here now!"

Motor: "Agreed, move out now!"

Dragstrip is the first one out of the ship. With his speed he jumps and runs along the side of the building before running his way to the top. Vortex transforms and lets Brawl grab onto his rails while he flies out. Dead-end grabs onto Swindle, who pulls out an energy grappling hook to the roof of the building. Dead-end looks back to see Motormaster staring blankly at him with his ever intense glare. The king of the road is making zero attempts to flee the ship. Dead-end watches the ship crash and explode into a massive fireball. Pieces of the ship are still burning and land on the top of the building next to where they stand.

Swindle: "This doesn't make any sense."

Brawl: "Yeah, how could girl scout cookies make a ship explode?"

Dead: "Your stupidity is unfathomable."

Brawl: "Hey I'm not unfashionable! I can wear anything and look prettier than you!"

Dead: "Unbelievable."

Vortex: "You can say that again. I can't believe he just stood there and let it crash. Now what are we going to do without him?"

Drag: "Wait a minute. Does this mean he's dead?"

Vortex: "Yep."

Drag: (dancing) "Oh yeah baby! This is the best day of my life!"

Vortex: "This is only the second day we've been alive."

Drag: "And it's still the best. Come dance with me guys!"

Brawl: "Dancing is fun!"

Dead: "Touch me and you lose your hand."

Dragstrip and Brawl dance together, and even Swindle starts joining in.

Dead: "You may want to quit dancing."

Drag: "Why?"

Dead: "See for yourself."

In the wreckage something dark appears behind the fires. Motormaster parts through the flames without a mark or any signs of damage. The ship explodes behind him He jumps up high into the air and lands on the roof with the rest of the team.

Drag: "Alright I admit it. That was pretty badass."

Vortex: "This guy is incredible."

Motor: "We press forward. Nothing will stop me."

Swindle: "I'm just glad none of us are Optimus Prime."

Back in the central part of the city the remaining four main members of MECH have been driving around the city looking for something of interest.

Emmett: "We've been driving for hours and nothing has turned up."

Silas: "We're getting close. I can feel it."

Emmett: "You said that twenty minutes ago, and twenty minutes before that."

Savoy: "Shut up, I'm the one that's driving."

Attinger: "We solve nothing this way. Let's get back and wait for the battle to be over."

Savoy would have done this, but the Allspark that was dropped by Starscream lands in front of the van. The van crashes into the Allspark and is flipped. The initial crash has such an impact that Emmett's seat belt breaks, and he flies through the windshield of the van. He lands in the street dazed, and the last thing he sees is the flipped car landing on top of him, crushing him instantly. We'll check on the rest of the team later.

Back to Starscream and Airraid's scuffle. The two activate their respective thrusters to cushion their fall. They both land right in the middle of an outdoor train station. Starscream is the first to get up to vent his frustrations.

(frustrated) "What's with you, Autobot?"

"What does it look like? I'm going to stop you."

"I had a deal with all of you. You leave me alone and I won't bother you."

"Everyone else agreed, but not me. I'm not an idiot."

"I'm not so sure about that last part. I'm warning you to leave."

"Are you kidding me? If I beat you then I'll be called a hero! I'll have fame, fortune, and they even might make me the next Prime! There's no way I'm going to pass off an opportunity like this! Soon I, Airraid, will be the greatest that ever lived!"

"Then you leave me no choice. I must kill you."

"As if. Go ahead and try."

Starscream fires a missile directly at Airraid, but he pulls out his satellite dish that becomes his shield to deflect the missile elsewhere.

"So that's going to be a problem."

"I'm going to be the biggest problem you've ever had!"

The hidden gun in Airraid's shield fires and hits Starscream in the chest. Starscream fires back with Null Rays but Airraid either blocks them with his shield or spins around to dodge the Airraid fires another into Starscream's chest to get him off balance, and while he's distracted Airraid's hand flail bashes Starscream right in the face. The hit knocks him back quite a distance. Starscream gets up and turns on the thrusters near his ankles to give him a rocket boost to Airraid. Starscream's unexpected hovering speed catches him completely off guard, and he is unprepared for Starscream doing a high-speed knee kick to his chest. The collision sends Airraid through a stone wall. The dazed Airraid sees Starscream leaping to attack, but he rolls out of the way just in time and puts in a swift kick to knock Starscream off balance. Using the opportunity Airraid tackles and pins Starscream to the ground. Starscream wins the struggle and kicks Airraid off, but the Aerialbot is far from finished. He jumps up and slams his shield down on Starscream's head. His flail hits the seeker everywhere he can and then bashes him away with the shield. Airraid jumps up and swings his flail down to crush Starscream head. Luckily Starscream fires a blast from the thrusters near one of his ankles to blast Airraid off to the ground. Starscream fires a missiles at Airraid's feet to make him get blasted into an idle train. Airraid fires back, but Starscream dodges each shot. He finally gets close enough to attack Airraid with his claws, but that shield blocks every single strike. Airraid jabs Starscream in the chest with it, and then uses it to ram him into the side of the train. Starscream's stiletto pierces Airraid's foot to get him let go, and he grabs Airraid by the head and starts banging it on the front of the car. Airraid steps on his foot, and his elbow hits his chest until he is freed. He throws Starscream over his shoulder, and it plants him on the ground. He prepares to attack, but Starscream was playing possum and strikes. Airraid leaps over just in time. He shoots an arrogant look at Starscream, but that's when half of his codpiece is sliced off from the attack. While Airraid is busy looking at his injury Starscream boosts to him again and throws him into the air. Airraid falls hard on his back, but he gets up swings his flail, and it catches Starscream by the fingers. It slams him into another wall. Starscream gets out of the way of the flail, and when Airraid attacks again Starscream catches it with his long fingers. He swings Airrraid into the wall, and he starts slashing at him. Airraid barely dodges each slash as the wall become covered in deep gashes. He kicks Starscream back and shoots him away. Airraid jumps up, but Starscream fires a missile unexpectedly. Even though he blocks it with his shield the blast still knocks him back and violently rolls him along the tracks. By the time he gets up Starscream has grabbed him, swings him, and throws him into part of the station. It breaks apart upon impact, and he is covered in the debris. Airraid breaks out just in time to see Starscream swing a metal bar right into his face. It breaks after hitting him. Starscream smashes down with his fists, but Airraid's shield saves him once again. Now Starscream is trying to run him into a wall, but for the moment their strength seems to be equal.

"I will defeat you!"

"I won't lose to a shoddy amateur like you, Autobot!"

(screaming) YOU'RE GOING TO CALL ME AN AMATEUR!!?? WHEN I KILL YOU EVERYONE WILL LOVE ME FOR IT!"

(triumphant) "I've come so far for my revenge, and I refuse to die by your hand or anyone else's!"

In an impressive feat of determination Starscream breaks through Airraid's defense and slices off his hand. Now without his shield Airraid screams in pain. Starscream is now regaining his confidence.

(taunting) "I really have to hand it to you Airraid, you put up quite the fight. Unfortunately for you you're going to die."

"Was that pun needed? And I still have a lot of fight left in me!"

"I admit you have a strong will, but you put it in the wrong life."

"Oh shut up man!"

"Without your shield you can't cower anymore, so let's see what you're really made of, Airraid!"

Airraid charges at Starscream, but he swivels behind him and spin kicks him in the back so he falls flat on his stomach. The laughing Starscream kicks him while he's down, but his overconfidence lets Airraid smash down on his foot with his flail. While Starscream reels back in pain Airraid hits him in the chest and face, and on the third strike Starscream catches the flail in both of his hands and tears off two-thirds of the flail. Airraid's stub of his other arm is put in Starscream's face to bleed on him, and it blinds him long enough for Airraid to swing upward and uppercut Starscream with what little remains of his weapon. He jumps and lands on Starscream, but his thrusters get him out of his grasp and makes Airraid fall over. Now that he is far enough away Starscream fires five Null Ray blasts right into Airraid's chest. Each shots lands and pieces of him fly off. The full effects of the weapon are taking over, and Airraid is reduced to what looks like your typical Irishman after a fun day at the pub. Starscream rubs his hands and plunges all ten fingers into the sides of Airraid's chest. After a few seconds he pulls them out, and it tears some of Airraid's insides from his body onto the floor. He is down on one knee bleeding out, and Starscream gets about six yards away before turning around and saying his last words.

"You know in any other circumstance I would have you bleed out right here, but I decided to change my mind. That's too easy of a death for you. I know you or anyone will never believe me, but I am the real hero here. I'm trying to save the world, and you delayed the inevitable, so for that I will make you suffer, but nobody will ever understand suffering as much as I do. I know you won't be missed, so consider this an act of kindness for the universe."

Starscream finishes Airraid off by firing a missile straight into his chest. The top half explodes, leaving only part of the tattered back remaining, and whatever is left of the bottom half falls apart. Starscream heals from his wounds after about a minute and flies off to find Optimus and Megatron. He's here to save the world and end this once and for all.
