Transformers: Eradication

Part 51: Elita-1's Last Goodbye

All the Decepticons have returned to their base. They even found the cuffed Frenzy and he's freed as well. When Starscream is brought back Thundercracker has his sword out ready to kill him.

Thunder: "You're going to get it now!"

Megatron: "No, no he won't."

Thunder: "What?"

Megatron: "I have pondered on what the most fitting punishment for Starscream should be. I decided that doing nothing is the best option."

Thunder: "What?"

Astro: "What?"

Fear and Terra: "What?!"

Megatron: "He's emotionally disturbed. under any normal circumstances I would have killed him where he stood. However, he has given us something incredible."

Astro: "Pain?"

Scrapper: "Misery?"

High: "High income taxes?"

Megatron: "Yes all of that, but having him wallow in his tears as a broken image of what he once was is far worse than death. Also I request that you release Bombshell and Kickback."

Scavenge: "Ummm.... what?"

Megatron: "Did I stutter?"

Scavenger: "No."

Megatron: "Then release them."

Kickback and Bombshell are released much to everyone's surprise. Shrapnel is taken aback that Megatron has kept his word.

Shrapnel: "You... kept your word word?"

Kickback: "Well this is new."

Bomb: "What's your angle, Megatron."

Megatron: "I understand now that we are stronger united instead of divided. Had I had the rest of you on my side we may have taken Earth over for good. Now that I am no longer pursuing the planet I am focusing on the original mission."

Bomb: "So this pardon is completely genuine?"

Megatron: "Yes. just don't do anything you might regret."

Bomb: "Fair enough."

Kickback: "We're back, bitches!"

Astro: (rolling his eyes) "Greaaat."

Skywarp: "Then what of our six other prisoners?"

Megatron: "I will give them an option. Serve me or die."

Megatron and the others arrive at the cells holding the Eradicons.

Megatron: "Listen well, Eradicons because I will only say this once. I will let you all free on one condition."

Vortex: "And what would that be?"

Megatron: "Pledge your undying loyalty to me and the Decepticon cause, or else I will kill you in ways you have not seen before."

Dead: "I thought you were threatening us. That sounds perfect for me."

Swindle: "Not for me! I pledge my loyalty!"

Vortex: "Me too."

Brawl: "Yeah sure."

Drag: "Well I like living so I guess I'll follow you."

Everyone looks at Dead-end for his answer.

Dead: "Pft, fine. I have nothing better to do."

It all hinges on Motormaster's decision.

Motor: "I follow nobody."

Megatron: "Be reasonable, Motormaster. Power like yours comes once in a lifetime."

Motormaster slams his hand on the glass and puts his face against it trying to intimidate Megatron.

Motor: "You would dare to say that after you ruined my chances of destroying Optimus Prime?"

Megatron: "You've already defeated him once. If you serve me I will allow you to destroy Optimus at the next time we meet."

Motor: "And what makes you think I won't kill you when I'm free?"

Megatron: "You're far too injured to face me again. Besides I have a full army ready to face you, and I don't think you want to gamble the outcome."

Motor: "Very well, I will serve you... for now. (intense) Understand this, Megatron, if I sense you are being deceptive to me there will never be enough armies to protect you from me."

Megatron: "Understood. Free him."

Splicer: "What?!"

Skywarp: "What?!"

Insecticons: "What?!

Everyone: "WHAT?!"

Mix: "Now, Megatron I know it's been a long day. Cleary you're fatigued like the rest of us."

Frenzy: "That fight totally took a lot out of you, man."

Megatron: "I know what I'm doing."

Astro: "You sure about that?"

Megatron: "If you think I'm wrong you can gamble your life."

Astro: "Nah I'm good. You do you, I'll do me, and we won't do each other. Maybe."

Motormaster is freed and reunited with the rest of his team. They begin socializing with the other Decepticons.

Thrust: "So they're part of the team now. That's cool."

Ramjet: "I give it five minutes before they kill us."

Mix: "Well this is wonderful! We have six new friends."

Motormaster looks at him and walks away.

Mix: "Five new friends!"

Dead-end flips them off and leaves.

Mix: "...Four new friends?"

Vortex: "We can roll with that."

Splicer: "Nice to meet you guys on more civil terms."

Drag: "Yeah sorry about that whole trying to kill all you guys thing. We were just following orders."

Splicer: "We don't take it personally. You're really fast by the way."

Vortex: "You had some pretty cool moves out their, kid. You got to show me more of that some time."

Splicer: "It would be an honor."

Brawl: "So you guys build things huh? That's cool."

Scavenge: "I'd hate to brag, but we build the best stuff."

Brawl: "Since I don't know anyone else in that profession I'm forced to believe you!"

Scrapper: "Just take his words for it. it's all true."

High: "Yep."

Swindle: "So you're a billionaire, Mixmaster?"

Mix: "You know it! I hear you're quite the salesman. How about I teach you about the wonders of investing."

Swindle: "A collaboration of professionals? You can count me in!"

Scrapper: "Oh this won't end well for us."

Longhaul: "Where did Rampage go?"

Mix: "No idea."

Megatron: "If I may have everyone's attention I have some special entertainment for you to watch."

Thunder: "More like special ed entertainment."

Drag: "This guy is hilarious."

The entertainment appears to be a movie of some sort. However instead of it being previously recorded... it's going to be live. Megatron, Soundwave, Splicer, Waspinator Skywarp, and the Constructicons sit in the first row. Hightower is forced to stand off to the side since he has no legs. Vortex, Dragstrip, Brawl, and the twins are in the second row. The Insecticons, Thundercracker, Astrotrain, and the Coneheads are in the last row. The animals are in perches watching. Swindle has a concession stand passing out hot dogs and other items for a fair price of $99.23.

Swindle: "Get your merchandise here!"

The ghosts of Fearswoop and Terradive are there as well. Everyone gets some 3D glasses for whatever reason. Starscream, Dead-end, Motormaster, and Rampage are not participating. Motormaster and Dead-end just sit in a room quietly. They don't even have to speak to know what the other is thinking. They both hate the situation they're in, and if a new opportunity arises for them they won't hesitate to take it. Starscream is in his room alone still with his face decorated with tears. Even after this defeat he is still determined to avenge his love.

Scream: "I promise I will never stop trying, but for now I must be patient."

Now Rampage is a far different story. He isn't even inside the base. Instead he has been searching every square inch of New York. He is desperately searching for his half brother. He has no luck, but where could he be? It's not like he could have got up and walked after what happened to him. The true answer is most unsettling. His body has been discovered and is now in the possession of MECH.His body is put inside one of those giant cargo helicopters and is flown off to their secret base. This whole battle has a goldmine for them to take advantage of. All these dead Vehicons and Decepticons have so many parts and weapons that they cart off. Other things they take are Hatchet's decapitated body, Snarl's body, and Oil Slick's exo suit. Silas, who now leads MECH has taken a particular interest in that suit. The cuts that were on his face after the accident have now become scars. He looks much closer to his Prime self now. But by far the most important find they discovered was the piece of Black Energon that was broken off of Motormaster's sword. They cart it into a van that has all of the other Energon collected thus far. Regular, Synthetic, Red, and now Black. Remember way back when they pulsed together? Now that the Black Energon is in proximity to the others the pulsing happens again, but more frequently. What is most chilling of all is that a disembodied voice feels its way through the air and speaks a chilling message.

"Only one piece remains to be reunited. Then the key between universes will be revealed."

MECH leaves afterward without a trace. It's like they just disappeared. After the battle the Autobots that could still stand helped clean up the city. Slag and Sludge were eventually found and were bridged to the city to help as well. The only ones there were Optimus, Grimlock, Ironhide, Leadfoot, Jolt, and Roadbuster. Their human allies are helping out as well. Slag and Sludge eventually find something that upsets them. It's Snarl's broken scythe. They show it to Grimlock, and he just holds it looking into the sky. Despite having his arm sliced in half Optimus is doing anything he can to help.

Grimlock: "You really should let Ratchet check on you. That thing is creeping me Grimlock out."

Prime: "This is where I need to be."

Jolt: "So we won, right?"

Ironhide: "I'm not sure to what to call this."

Fowler: "And there's no telling what this surprise Megatron is and what it has in store for us."

Leadfoot: "It's not going to be a bloody postcard. I can tell you that much."

Swoop: "How much longer till it happens?"

Ace: "One minute. I'm not looking forward to it."

Grimlock: "Nobody is."

Slag: "Me Slag don't care either way."

Sludge: "Me Sludge became best friends with Starscream."

Grimlock: "When did that happen?"

Sludge can't answer the question because a space bridge portal is opening up in the sky. Everyone else prepares themselves for what may come out.

Prime: "Prepare for battle!"

Something emerges from the portal, but it's nothing that they expected. It's just a tiny little drone the size of the average human. It has helicopter rotors on its head as it descends to where they are. It beeps a few time and projects something for them It's like a something is being recorded like some footage. It says live in the upper right. The projection itself is easily 80 by 60 feet.

Road; "What is this?"

Ironhide: "It looks like a movie."

Prime: "Or something live."

The screen is static but it starts clearing up. To everyone's surprise Shockwave, Shockblast, and Knockout are on the screen.

Shockwave: "Greetings Optimus Prime. I know you must be wondering why I am sending you this live feed. All of your questions will be answered in due time. In fact I'll give you half of it right now. I'm sure you can connect the dots. Shockblast, switch to camera B.

Shockblast switches the camera to a new area. To Optimus's horror he realizes it's the current base of Elita-1 and her team. A pink and white car enters with Smokescreen.

Elita: "Ah great. I'm so glad you're here. Listen, we're going to be moving within an hourt. Meet us at these coordinates. The car leaves out a slot through the back.

Smoke: "Think she'll be alright?"

Elita: "She's the best at what she does. Of course she'll be alright. I'm going to have you go next in a few minutes to rendezvous with her."

Smoke: "You got it!"

The camera revert to Shockwave, who seems to be loading his weapons.

Shockwave: "Poor unsuspecting Elita-1. She has no idea what is about to happen. I know you're wondering how we even found this place. Well, the answer is going to be an equally shocking surprise. Let's get this show on the road, shall we?"

Back to Elita-1 and her team's perspective the door is blown off and now lies a huge hole in the wall. The three Decepticons enter the building with the vastly unprepared resistance.

Elita: "Shockwave..."

Chromia: "How did you find us?"

Flare: "I led them here."

Everyone turns taken aback by what Flare-up said. They all believe they are hearing things.

Elita: "......What?"

Flare-up laughs with a cute little snort in the middle and explains herself.

Flare: "I haven't been working for you for a very long time. I've been secretly working for Shockwave this entire time."

Chromia: "But why?"

Elita: "What would ever possess you to join their side?"

Flare up walks up to Shockblast, and to everyone's surprise kisses the side of his face.

Flare: "For love of course!"

Fire: "L-l-love?"

Flare: "You see I got so caught up with everyone having boyfriends that I decided to get one myself. Shockblast was just there, and it was just so magical. From then on I worked with Shockwave and his gang. It took way longer than I thought because you moved to hideout so frequently. It was a miracle I convinced you to stay here as long as we did. If not I don't think we could have ever trapped you."

Shock: "Yes, but now your services are no longer required."

Flare: "Huh?"

Without warning Shockblast plunges a blade through Flare-up's chest. She chokes on her own blood and falls down. She' still alive, but she's dying quickly.

Flare: "W-why? .....Why did you do this?"

Shock: "I never loved you. The only loves I have are for my late brother and science. You are far too weak and desperate. You were the perfect subject to manipulate. Now if you'll excuse us we will slaughter the others."

Elita: "You are gravely mistaken if you think we will go down without a fight."

Shockwave: "I would expect nothing less from a worthy opponent."

Elita: "Smokescreen, Chromia, I want you to leave."

Smoke: "What?"

Chromia: "We can fight!"

Elita: "No! Someone has to live in order for us to have a fighting chance. Promise me you will do this."

Chromia: "I understand. Come, Smokescreen, let's go."

Smoke: "Fine."

Chromia and Smokescreen drive off thanks to a distraction set my Elita-1. Shockwave and Shockblast fight Elita-1, Firestar, and Beta while Flare-up is still dying. Elita-1 attacks Shockwave with beta's help. Shockblast takes on Firestar. Knockout transforms and chases after Smokescreen and Chromia. Elita-1 clashes her sword with Shockwave's blade. Beta attacks by shooting Shockwave in the back. They don't do that much damage, but it helps. Firestar shoots Shockblast and stabs him in the stomach. Shockblast bats her away. She recovers and comes back, but Shockblast shoots him with his disintegrator. She gets hit and goes down. Something is keeping her from getting up. She looks at her hand, and it turns black and becomes ashes that start to blow away. She is going to die, there is no cure for this.

Shockwave: "Shockblast, assist Knockout in taking down the others."

Shok: "Affirmative."

Shockblast transforms and flies off in pursuit of Chromia and Smokescreen. Flare-up looks up and sees him flying. away. She feels regret for her actions. Despite her injuries she fires a full blast of his flames at Shockblast. It's a direct hit to his wing and it gets blasted off. He crashes to the ground. With that Flare-up takes her last breath and succumbs to her injuries. Shockwave grabs Elita-1 and throws her against the wall She lands hard into it and falls off. Beta jumps and hits Shockwave in the face with her large arm. Shockwave slams her on the ground. She looks up and sees Shockwave land on top of her. Her entire top half is crushed underneath his feet. Firestar's arm is ashes, and now her chest and lower half are starting to go as well. Meanwhile Knockout is closing in on Chromia and Smokescreen. He shoots guns out of his car form that hit Chromia's back tire. It forces her to transform and roll on the ground. Smokescreen stops and tries to help out, but Chromia refuses.

Chromia: "No! You need to get out of here!"

Smoke: "I can't leave you like this!"

Chromia: "I'll be fine. Your survival is more important anyway."

Smoke: "What do you mean?"

Chromia: "I'll explain later. I promise."

Smoke: "Come back to me, okay?"

Chromia: "I will."

Smokescreen transforms and revs up his engine to make a smokescreen of his own to disappear. He escapes without any difficulty. Now it leaves Knockout and Chromia alone. Chromia wastes no time and beats Knockout to a pulp. He is getting beaten within an inch of his life. Chromia isn't going to kill him, at least not yet. She still has some words for Knockout.

"We could have all lived in peace you know. We never wanted any of this instead you bring out all of this death and destruction. Have you ever thought about what could have been if Megatron hadn't started this war?"

(weakly) ".....No."

"Of course not. You let him corrupt you like he did everyone else. Perhaps we might have been friends, but it's too late for that now. My friends are dying because of you and your cause. Now i must kill you."

Chromia is ready for a final blow, but Shockblast comes out of nowhere and fires a gear shredder into her. A diagonal cut is made from her left shoulder all the way down to the right side of her stomach. That top half of her falls off, and she is killed.

"Thanks, Shockblast."

"Your thanks aren't necessary. It was the logical thing to do."

Now back to Elita-1 and Shockwave's fight. Firestar has her lasts moments before becoming a pile of ash that whisks itself away with the help of the wind. Elita-1 has had it.

"You've killed my friends, and I won't forgive you for this!"

"I do not need you forgiveness, Elita-1. This is how it always had to be. There can only be one outcome for this war. Order."

"Order brings death, and yours will help end this!"

Elita-1 fights with such ferocity. She jumps behind Shockwave and stabs him in the back. She shoots him in the back of the head, but it doesn't do enough damage. Shockwave attacks her by swiping his arm, but she grabs onto his arm and swings around to stab it. She continues this all around his body and she seems to be winning. That's when Shockwave has enough, and in a fortunate moment he manages to thrust his blade into her right kneecap. She stumbles and falls, and Shockwave grabs her with one hand. he slams her face down on the ground once to disorient her, and then he puts her left arm behind her back and breaks it. She screams in true agony, and then that's when Shockwave looks at the camera.

"You see, Optimus, this was inevitable, but you could have saved her if you had just surrendered. No matter, the resistance on Cybertron is destroyed. Elita, do you have any last words for Optimus?"

Tears stream down her face as she speaks.

"Optimus, no matter what you must stay determined. You can do this. You can win. This is just a setback. You've faced tougher odds. Your friends believe in you, the Autobots believe in you. I believe in you. I love-"

Shockwave slits her throat before she can finish. She bleeds out and the life drains from her eyes ever so slowly before her head goes down.

Shockwave: "Oh how tragic. A tale of two star-crossed lovers. A fitting end for her if I do say so myself. This is what happens when you oppose Megatron. Everyone you wove will die. I did promise I would take something you love, Optimus, and as you can see I'm a man of my word. Good day."

The feed ends and we briefly go back to the Decepticons to see their reaction.

Astro: "Now THAT was awesome!"

Thunder: "Damn, Megatron! If you told me ahead of time it was going to be another snuff film I would brought the net!"

Splicer: "That ought to teach Optimus to mess with us!"

Bomb: "Seeing our enemies crushed like that brings me such satisfaction."

Kickback: "And I'm pleased as shit!"

Thrust: "What did you guys think?"

Dirge: "Pretty strong performances all around."

Brawl: "The plot was there, but the characters were all over the place."

Longhaul: "Still better than a Tarantino movie."

Scavenge: "How do you know who that is?"

Frenzy: "Needs more explosions!"

Soundwave: "So what are your orders, Megatron?"

Megatron: "Isn't it obvious? We're going home."

Going back to Optimus and the others his eyes say it all. His breathing becomes erratic, and his slams his one good hand down on the ground and scream's the longest "NOOOOO!" that anyone has ever heard. Everyone could feel, even Megatron.
