Finale: A Familiar Road Traveled

Fifteen years have past, and Megatron has kept his word. Earth has not had a single Decepticon attack since New York. However, there have been reports of sightings of a large bat like creature. It can't be Ratbat because he's with Soundwave, so it must be something else entirely. Ever since Shockwave's raid of Elita-1's headquarters the resistance on Cybertron has become all but extinct. Autobots have been imprisoned, publicly executed, or both. 90% of the planet is now under Megatron's control, and Decepticons are starting to live there again and finally are settling down to have families. Others that have no interest, like everyone we know now are more interested in fighting because they've done it for most of their lives. You just can't turn off that fighting instinct. Megatron knows he has to kill Optimus Prime for all of this to end. All of the Autobots that can fight have relocated to the seven different moons. Now is the time to strike.

Laserbeak appears in the vacuum of space flying to the third moon named Alpha. A rumor has circulated that the Autobots are planning a big move, and it's Laserbeak's job to find out what it is. After arriving on the moon he flies through a crater to discover a secret base of operations. He is able to get by all the security with complete ease. There he finds Optimus making a video call to the other Autobots on their other bases. The first to answer is the first moon base named Theta. Jazz and Mirage are there to answer the call.

Jazz: "Hey Optimus!"

Mirage: "What may we do to serve you?"

Prime: "I need everyone's full attention. Please contact moon number two while I contact the others."

Mirage: "Your wish is our command."

Jazz: "Jazz to moonbase two! Jazz to moonbase two! Come in, Pearl!"

Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and an older Spike answer the call. Spike is wearing some sort of combat suit.

Side: "Moonbase two reporting in. Why did we get stuck with Pearl again? That's the second lamest named moon we have!"

Grimlock: "Me Grimlock reporting in from moonbase four Jasper."

Silver: "Silverbolt reporting in from moonbase five Nova."

Ironhide: "Ironhide reporting from moonbase six Obelisk."

Smoke: "Smokescreen here! Coming right at you from moonbase seven Jerry! I really think we should change the name."

Grimlock: "You say that every time we call."

Ironhide: "That's just what it was named according to the historians. Just deal with it."

Spike: "So what's up, Optimus?"

Prime: "We are in desperate times, and our resources are dwindling. I want Ironhide and his team to head for Earth to replenish our Energon reserves."

Ironhide: "But that's too risky!"

Prime: "We don't have enough time to worry. We need to take a gamble on this. There is going to be an asteroid storm that you can use as a smokescreen to become undetected."

Smoke: "Did you call me?"

Grimlock: "No!"

Prime: "Are we clear?"

Ironhide: "Yes, Optimus."

Spike: "And when you get to Earth tell Daniel that I'll be home soon."

Ironhide: "I'll make sure when I find him and his pal fishing."

Prime: "Good work. Optimus Prime out."

The chat ends, and with all this information gathered Laserbeak squawks in joy and flies out of the moon. He returns to Shockwave's tower where he, Shockblast, Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, Skywarp, and Knockout are waiting.

Shockwave: "Laserbeak returns."

Megatron: "Excellent work, Laserbeak. Is your intel beneficial?"

Laserbeak nods his head.

Megatron: "Play the footage."

Laserbeak plugs his tail in the back of the monitor and it plays out the conversation from earlier. Megatron already has an idea of what to do.

Knockout: -sigh- "I know that look."

Megatron creates a list for his mission.

Megatron: "Soundwave, here is a list of troops I want assembled for this mission."

Soundwave: "Affirmative."

Soundwave leaves but something troubles Skywarp.

Skywarp: "Megatron, I couldn't help but notice my name was on that list."

Megatron: "You are correct."

Skywarp: "I didn't see any clones listed."

Megatron: "That's because I grow tired of your clone's failures. It's high time you learned how to fight like the rest of us."

Skywarp: (pleading) "But I abhor violence!"

Scream: (mocking) "What's wrong, Skywarp? Afraid you might get a boo boo?"

Megatron: "Enough! Both of you will report in, do you understand?"

Both: "Yes."

The three leave, and now it's just Knockout and the cyclopes.

Knockout: "So we have that genetic augmenting program going on now. That's interesting."

Shock: "It will be a big help to our cause."

Knockout: "I can't believe we got a willing volunteer to offer his body to us. What was his name again."

Shockwave: "Unknown."

Knockout: "You sure we can trust snake man over there with a test subject alone? I mean look at what happened to the other scientist with his hand. He went nuts."

Shockwave: "That one was a mistake. He should have died in that fire we started."

Knockout: "They never found a body."

Shock: "Even if he was alive he knows better than to show his face again."

Shockwave: "Besides, Vertebreak is far more trustworthy than he was. Whatever does to this unnamed individual well benefit us all."

Knockout: "If you say so."

On Obelisk Ironhide and his team are preparing for launch. It's a small team of four consisting of himself, Ratchet, Jolt, and Evac, the character everyone forgot was in this story. He is a blue Autobot about Jolt's height. He is helping Jolt carry in the cargo.

Evac: "Pretty big mission here, huh?"

Jolt: "Yeah. This whole thing is riding on us."

Evac: "Pretty big burden if you ask me."

Jolt: "We do our part to help out."

Evac: "But will it do very much?"

Jolt: "You're asking the wrong guy."

Evac: "I remember the simpler days when it was point A to point B. That was the life."

Jolt: "You're being too linear with your life, Evac."

Evac: "Excuse me for enjoying the simple life."

Jolt: "I like it when life throws you a curveball. You can have so many adventures."

Evac: "Not for me. I like it planned. We should hurry up before Ratchet gets on our case."

Ratchet steps out of the ship to get on their case.

Ratchet: "Will you two hurry up? We have to go asap!"

Evac: "Sorry, chief. We got caught up in conversation."

Ratchet: "You can get caught up with the rest of that inside."

Evac: "You're the boss."

The four go inside the ship and take off. As Optimus said a large pack of asteroids are in the way. Ironhide has to carefully maneuver around to avoid getting him. On his radar are a bunch of red dots, way more than the storm is showing. He dismisses it as a glitch and gets through most of it. There is a bang heard on the side of the ship.

Evac: "Well you drove decently until the end there."

Ironhide: "I don't get it. There isn't anything there."

Evac: "Then what did we hit?"

Ironhide: "I don't know, and I don't like it."

Ratchet: "Jolt, check it out."

Jolt: "You got it!"

Jolt checks the wall where the sound was heard. It's quiet at first, but then he hears something charge up. It's getting louder, and it doesn't bode well for any of them. Jolt leaps back and a hole is blasted through the ship. The Autobots turn around, and through the smoke their nightmare has been realized. Megatron is here with his troops. He has brought Soundwave, Astrotrain, Waspinator, Skywarp, Splicer, Brawl, the Seekers, Coneheads, Insecticons, Constructicons, and two brand new Decepticons who are hidden behind everyone else. Soundwave has a new body again. It's similar to the appearance he had in Enslavement. Megatron also has a new body which looks closer to how he looked when he first arrived on Earth.

Ironhide: "Megatron..."

Jolt: "We have to stop them!"

Megatron: (charging his fusion cannon) "You'll die trying."

Jolt makes the first move and his whips actually hit Megatron in the face. It make him turn his head, but that's about it. Megatron retaliates by firing a fully charged Fusion Cannon into Jolt. It goes through his chest and out his shoulder, and he is killed on the spot. Evac and the others go to fight, and Evac attacks Scavenger, but he ducks and fires back. The shot hits Evac through the neck, and smoke exits his eyes and mouth as he dies.

Scavenge: (excited) "I got one! I actually got one!"

Brawl: "Nice one, dude!"

Ratchet and Ironhide are much harder to take down. They shoot down Dirge, Scavenger, Skywarp, Thundercracker, The Insecticons, and Waspinator. However it does little good because Astrotrain, Ramjet and Thrust with their combined firepower shoots down Ratchet. He clutches his chest before falling and dying. All that remains is Ironhide. Megatron, Soundwave, and Starscream all attack him and he finally goes down. Soundwave, Skywarp, Splicer, and Bombshell replace the Autobots as the pilots of the ship. Everyone just finds a space elsewhere. Megatron and Starscream are at the front of the ship.

Megatron: "Everything is going perfectly."

Scream: "I beg to differ."

Megatron: "Of course you do."

Scream: "Do you not see the hole we made? They will see us coming!"

Megatron: "That's why I brought them."

Megatron snaps his fingers, and the Constructicons go right to work. It only takes a minute before the hole is completely repaired.

Megatron: "Soon we will attack the Autobot city on Earth, and we will force Optimus to arrive. It's the perfect plan."

Mix: "Just like the guy who made it!"

Megatron: "Your brown nosing pleases me."

Thunder: "Can't wait to kill me some Autobots!"

Something tugs on Megatron's foot. He looks down and sees that Ironhide is still alive, but barely.

Ironhide: (weakly) "No......."

Megatron raises an eyebrow and then charges his weapon.

Megatron: (scoffing) "Such heroic nonsense."

Megatron blasts Ironhide's face off, and the ship continues to fly. Earth is now in their sights....
