My nurse was so happy when she saw me awake. She shed so many tears, hugging me repeatedly. "Thank you so much, Anna. Thank you for coming back to us," she cried, hugging me tightly again. I wasn't strong enough to hold her tightly in return; I just smiled.
"I'm going to tell everyone, I'm so happy!" she said, then picked up her phone. I shook my head in disagreement.

I don't want anyone to know I'm awake until I'm stronger. As it stands now, I don't know who my enemy is.

"I understand. You don't want to tell anyone, but at least let me tell your personal doctor. That way, he can do the needful now that you're awake," she said, and I nodded.

He had been my doctor for two years now. I trust Tim.

She called him and happily gave him the news. I didn't hear his response, but I was certain he was very happy.

"Oh, my Anna," she said with a happy smile, then brushed my hair behind my ear.

"Ryan," I finally managed to say.
"Should I call Sir Ryan?" she said.

I shook my head in disagreement.

I don't know who he might call. He might tell Ella; I'm sure she is in his house if he is home. She is always around him; she clings to him like ants to sugar. And I don't trust Ella

"Where is he?" she asked, and I nodded.

"I don't know, ma'am, but he would be here anyways. Then you can surprise only him," she said, and I smiled happily.

She did her chores happily, and I kept looking at the clock.

~~~
"Ma'am, I don't think Ryan would come tonight," she said.
I nodded.
She covered me well, then went to her bed. I closed my eyes, my hands holding his black sweater tight.
I was so scared; What if I don't wake up tomorrow?
My doctor checked on me in the middle of the night; I was too tired to even know all he did. I just slept off.
                      DOCTOR TIM
How is it possible for Anna to wake up? No one on earth knows that I have been killing Anna's system, apart from Daniella, of course. So how?
That drug is almost undetectable, and we have been very careful for two years now, so how the hell? Who the hell?
I need to call Ella.
"Anna is awake," I said.
"What! What do you mean Anna is awake?" she said.
"Did you change her drip?" I said.
"No," she said.
"This is bad, Ella. Someone is onto us. I just pray it's not Ryan," I said.
"I don't care. Send her back to a coma this instant; do it now!" Daniella shouted, then ended the call.
ELLA'S POV
I breathed out, then angrily dropped my phone beside me. I looked at Ryan, who was in the pool, a bit away from me. Speaking on a call, the water covered his torso. I met him in here, so I don't know what he is wearing beneath, but it's definitely black.
I dipped my legs properly into the water, my black short gown barely covering my thighs. My eyes were on him as he brushed his already relaxed wet hair back, getting frustrated with whatever the call was about.
The water and his eyes shared almost the same shade of green—just that his eyes had more beauty. He had always been very good-looking. Back then in high school, almost every girl had his unaware picture in their phone. He was the hottest guy in the whole school. Now that he is older, he is just ten times hotter.
"How's his breathing now?" he said into the call as he gently moved over.
"Don't add any more blood; just monitor him tonight," Ryan said, then finally ended the call.
He dropped the phone beside me, then poured himself a glass of wine. He poured for me too, and I smiled happily as I picked up the drink.
He sipped the wine, his eyes on his phone as he got a text.
"So," I said, going back to our conversation.
"Anyone who can answer my question correctly must already possess 70% of the qualities so I can work with them," he finally said dismissively.
"If we send you a bad nurse, the stakeholders in RD won't be happy, and as the director of AGHC, I would carry the blame," I said.
"I just need someone who is smart, very proactive. I can't around dull people, organized, confident because they would be doing more of the talking," he said.
"Okay, you can trust us to give you the perfect nurse," I said.
He sighed tiredly as he took another call which interrupted.
"Did you find the hospital where that crazy woman works?" he said as He moved away back into the water.
ANNA's POV
I tried opening my eyes but couldn't. I started crying inside already. I tried lifting my finger, no avail. My tears escaped my eyes.
Why didn't it happen after I saw Ryan, at least one last time?
I'm so tired, Mum. I'm so tired.
What did I do wrong? I was fine until Dr. Tim checked on me this morning; I trusted him.
Why are they doing this to me? Who is doing this to me?
If they want the company, I would gladly let it go. I just want to live.
I want to wake up and look for my mother. I want to hug my man who has been through hell and back—Ryan struggled with  trauma  even when I was around. How is he going to cope now that I am like this?
I just want to see him.
I don't even know if my dad is still alive.
Why is this happening to me? I just want my life back.
Someone, please wake me up. Clara, please wake me up. I shed so much tears.
Please drop a vote—it means so much. Thank you!
