DIANA'S POV

Omg, results are out. I'm so scared. I rushed up the stairs.

I was about to walk into the 5th floor when Abigail hugged me.

"You passed!" she shouted.

"Really?" I shouted back, then ran up the stairs as fast as I could. Omg, I was the only one who passed. I jumped up and hugged Abigail tight.

Just then, Matron Linda, as well as two other matrons, came over to me.

"Come with us," they said.

"Oh, okay," I replied, then followed them. I hope I'm safe.

Finally, we arrived at the matron's office. Ryan was at the projector.

"Diana?" he said, and I nodded. His voice is so soothing.

"Yes, sir," I replied, coming back to my senses.

"Why did you change my question?" he said.

"Huh?" I responded.

He looked at me quietly for a while, then he looked away.

"Who was it?" he said.

"Well—"

"It's okay. No one would punish you," he said.

"I'm sorry, sir. It was my best friend," I said.

"Was she in the hall too?" he said.

"No, she didn't take the exam—but she was at the hospital, so I just texted her the questions," I said.

"So you mean a nurse who wasn't even prepared to write this exam answered all three questions correctly?" he said.

"Yes, sir," I said.

"What's her name?" he said.

"Clara. Clara David," I replied.

Matron Linda's mouth was open in shock.

"A senior nurse?" she said.

"Junior," I replied, and he  was shocked.

"How old is she?" he said.

"Well, 19," I replied.

He nodded.

"I choose Clara," he said to the matrons, and I smiled happily, almost screaming as I bowed to him.

"No, no, no, sir, you don't want to do that—Clara is—

Ryan had already ended the call. Matron Linda fainted in her chair.

"This can't happen," she said.

"Since he chose her, let's just send her," Matron Jane said.

"Send who? Clara David would kill their only child," Matron Linda said.

"Well, Miss Daniella has the final say, She would be the one to interview the chosen nurse, and I just pray she rejects Clara," Matron Jane said.

"I hope so," Matron Linda added.

I rushed down the stairs.

CLARA'S POV

I played football in the kids' section, just then, Matron Linda walked in.

"Follow me," she said, and I rushed out after her.

"You have been chosen to accompany Ryan on his health mission," she said.

"What!" I shouted, then looked around.

"You, Clara. You have been chosen as Ryan's hand nurse," she said.

"Really!" I screamed, then hugged her tight.

She smiled. "Don't get too excited yet. Miss Daniella has the final say. You need to meet her at home for your interview," she said.

"Okay, ma," I replied, still in shock. She handed me the house address and left.

How come? Is this real? Oh my God!

I screamed out loud, jumping up. Diana rushed over, then hugged me tight. We both laughed happily as she carried me up.

"Finally! I'm so happy for you, Clara," she said, as she hugged me tight.

I was so happy. Meeting and working with Ryan had been my only dream ever since I became a nurse. I'm going to see my lifetime crush.

Finally, she unlocked from the hug, then dragged me into Ethan's office.

"You're going to meet Daniella, right?" she said.

I nodded with a smile. She untied my hair, then scattered it with her fingers.

"What are you doing?" I said.

"Making sure you win this time, Clara. There's nothing for you in this hospital; I watched them kill your dreams, I watched you stop studying, stop dreaming, they took all your rights away from you. Made you feel useless, worthless, you just smiled because you didn't want your family to know what you went through. I prayed morning and night for a day like this to come. Becoming Ryan's nurse is the only way you'd win. After this mission, you'd return with him to New York. as long as you do a good job , with Ryan you would become a real nurse just like you always dreamt. Anywhere there's Ryan, there would be Clara. You'd go places, meet people, and achieve all your dreams in life. You must become Ryan's nurse, Clara. Don't ever come back here, Please," she said and her tears fell , making mine fall too.

How did she notice All that, I tried so no hard to hide it all and just be happy.

I hugged her and we hugged for a long time.

She removed her jacket, then made me wear it on top of mine, covering every inch of my physique.

She smeared a darker shade of foundation on my face—who did she get this from?

"Diana, I never looked attractive to start with. Now you just made me look hideous," I said.

"The better. Run along now. Good luck, bestie," she shouted as I ran away from the hospital.

I smiled happily as I walked out. It felt like I was walking on a cloud—I couldn't believe it.

I happily ran into the taxi. I can't believe I'm not just going to see Ryan; I'm going to spend three months with my idol.

I'm going to be a real nurse!!!!

I laughed happily in the taxi, brought my head out, and screamed so loud until I could actually believe it.

I smiled happily, relaxing in my seat.

DANIELLA'S POV

I sat with my dad in the courtyard. I was so anxious and eager as I waited to see Ryan's nurse. Heaven knows I would never accept a girl who is pretty. Never.

I can't give Ryan the opportunity to notice or fall in love with any other woman apart from me at this time. Him living with a woman is so damn risky.

But not to worry, I would make sure to send the ugliest.

"Dad, are you okay?" I asked my dad as he started coughing.

"No, dear," he said.

"But you were fine last week," I said.

"Right? My treatment ended, so I started taking my morning tea again. Now it feels like my sickness is coming back," he said.

"Tea? Come on, Dad, you've been taking tea/coffee since forever. Maybe you just need some rest," I said.

"I think so too," he said, and I watched him drink his tea.

I kissed his cheek, then rushed upstairs. I saw a very ugly-looking girl coming in and was certain she was Ryan's nurse. I smiled happily, then walked into my study.
